Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Face-to-face Experience: Veteran Location/Timezone: SE Portland Oregon Game: D&D 5e Availability: Evenings most days, preferably Fridays, or most of the day preferably afternoons or later Sundays. Preferred role: Player Game style: Looking for roleplay heavier game where combat can be avoided by clever diplomacy, intimidation, misdirection, or proper use of tools/environment, or other social means, but if we are fighting, lots of 1hp mooks to pad the hero feeling between harder encounters please.
I like "Yes, and" style DMs and though I like grey, controversial characters, I work well in a team and don't derail stories.
I have a variety of character pitches ranging from silly to uberdark:
1) if unearthed arcana is allowed I have an ex contortionist centaur (subclass undecideds) rogue who disguises his upper body in a taxidermy horse head mask and spies/deals in black market deliveries... (Silly)
2) Alternatively if unearthed arcana is allowed... a zealous conquest paladin who fashionshimself like a rogue, think scoundrel sneaky dex paladin who works in the underworld and does the shadowy stuff for the greater good, magical intimidation great for crowd control when cover is blown. (Serious)
3) Mountain dwarf wizard, his father owned a company of miners that, with consent collected the bodies of miners that died but wanted to continue providing for their families and tactfully animated their bodies to work in dangerous or otherwise unworkable areas for extreme profit, and sending a good chunk to the families of the perished miners. Unfortunately our necromancer died before he could be fully trained and the undead work force was sealed off until some respectful resolution can be obtained. This character is all about ethical uses of magic and isn't the bring a rotting zombie into town idiot. (Grey area)
4) There's also a water genasi sea cog cleric of the storm. He's what I imagined as a storm chaser in fantasy times, maybe he's into adventuring to buy a new boat as he's like to get them destroyed trying to get close to his god. (Silly-ish)
So lots of ideas, if you need another pitch. I'd really like a group to play with.
I live in NE PDX. I'd love to get an in-person group together once I can get vaccinated. Until then, I'd love to see about an online game. Please reach out to me at HighlandGreen#5213
