Me and a couple other DMs are setting up a new game for Monday afternoon/evenings CST (likely somewhere within the range of 5PM-11PM CST), and could use a batch of players who are also DMs. The plan for this game is to keep a continuous story and cast of characters, but to switch DMs every few weeks to make sure everyone has a chance to play, since a lot of DMs get stuck DMing and never get to be players. I've heard good things about this method so I'm eager to try it. To keep it simple we're going to use the classic D&D campaign setting —The Forgotten Realms— to start off with and to use as a base location for the party, but once we're all comfortable, we can transition into plane-hopping and spelljamming adventures, with each of us writing our few-session "arcs"/adventures for different planets/planes, that way we wont have to worry so much about messing up each others' consistency. In case it comes up, I'll act as the resident lore master for the big cosmic lore (Overgods, Great Old Ones, Planescape, Spelljammer, and Cosmology/Cosmogony etc). Depending on the DM ofc, we're likely going to be using R20 or Foundry VTT for maps. I'm thinking the DM arcs can last 1-2 months (4-8 sessions) depending on the DM's desire/party pace, and we can run levels 8-12, leveling at the end of each arc, for a nice campaign length of 16 months.
We have a Discord community we're planning on running it in fyi, and there's a screening process to make sure you're okay with the rules, 18+, and to see your experience in D&D.
My Discord is Zionswasd#8143, add me if you're interested!
