I have a group of about 6-8 people with varying degrees of D&D experience, however none that have enough to DM. Wanted to find someone who likes to DM to create a reoccurring Saturday night game. I can host at my place or we can meet at neutral grounds like a comic shop.
Currently I DM a game on Wednesday evening. New Dimension Comics in West Mifflin. That game is playing by adventure league rules, which I like but I'm not beholden to. I live out west.
Where are you located? And what kind of game are you looking to have run? Because I can do anything from very formulaic to very free-form.
I haven’t played on many years, as is the case with most of the people I have, the rest are new. My wife and I work M-Th on 12 hour shifts so we’re limited to Fri/Sat.
As far as style, most of the games we’ve amanaged to get in on have been modules, so it really doesn’t matter.
I live in the McKees Rocks area, most everyone else is with 5-10 minutes of me
McKee's Rocks is very accessible for me. I can work with that. Does 12/9 sound plausible for you? I have a lot of flexibility that day, free any time after 10 am. If you want to meet me in person before that, I'm also going to be at Phantom of the Attic, Greentree, during the afternoon on 12/2. I'll be there doing a thing that is very similar to D&D.
In terms of content, I might as well start out with an AL module, just to take the temperature of the group. I can move into a hardcover or pet world if the interest is there.
I don't believe so. I've done very little with D&D (Played other RPG's), and I was able to generate a character via orcpub. There is enough knowledge and resources to be able to "play", but no one knows enough about the system to actually DM. We all have characters that we take to Legions for their once/month AL campaign, and enough level 1 characters that never took off due to lack of DM/game consistency.
I work right up the road from Phantom of the Attic in Greentree. Let me know what times you'll be there and I can probably swing down and chat with you for a few.

Are some players new enough that they're going to need pre-gen characters? I have many I can provide.

I will be there Saturday from 2 to 7 to play Starfinder.
