Hello - like many people I'm currently seeking a new 5E group and I'm hoping that someone might think that I'll fit their group well! I'm Lara (she/her), 32 yo, and I've got around 4 years of DnD experience (plus around double that of various other TTRPGs: mainly Dragon Age RPG). My previous group fell apart due to life getting in the way so I'm currently looking for a long-term group I can join as I miss playing terribly. Ideally it would be a new group but I don't mind at all. I'm a big lover of physical DnD "stuff" so I generally take lots of notes and keep a character folder, and if I'm allowed to roll my dice (I'm honest, I promise - there's no fun in faking rolls!) then even better, but I understand if not! 

I'm currently writing an air genasi warlock character who I'm really keen to play as I have little experience playing a spellcaster (I've had two previous "main" characters, one being a monk and the other a ranger) but I'm also more than happy to conjure something else up that would fit better with an already established group.

In the kingdom of Arelith, everything is beginning to crumble.

Feudal Lords are fighting for control of the land, while the people suffer in their absence.

Cults have cropped, up, promising safety, supplies and stability

Bandits fester even the most traveled roads

Magic users spend their days creating proxy empires within Arelith, ruling with no one to stop them

Norsemen to the north pillage anything with even a single copper of value.

Foreign powers, smelling blood in the water, have been begun to pounce, trying to strip anything of value from our lands

My name is Isa Nothguard. I am The Hand of Devils, one of the nine feudal lords who have left my country to burn. I want to prevent the empire from collapsing, and then rebuild it

To do so, I require strong soldiers. People of moral value. People who want to preserve the future, rather than pillage it.

Overview

• You are one of the many new soldiers who have flocked to Duke Nothguard in his attempt to preserve the empire.
• You will carry out the missions in an attempt to prevent the collapse of the empire.
• The game will take place in my homebrew world of Landris
• Your decisions will decide whether or not everything is destroyed.
• Your actions also have long and short term consequences.
• This game will be serious, but will have moments of levity in it.
• If you are opposed to dumb humor, then please avoid this game
• 18+ only 
• I choose fun over rules. So if something is unfun, I am willing to change it.
• We will use Discord for voice chat, and Roll 20 for combat. Please have both of these accounts before commenting.
• Games will be Friday, 6PM EST, and run for 4 hours.

Character Creation

• Players will start at level 5.
• Players will begin with 200 gold, and if you want to buy something, you must use my provided list
• Note, in my homebrew world, there are no gods. Simply powerful magic users that died and have remained on the physical plain. So, if you are a religious class talk to me.
• No totem barbarians
• No pass without trace
• No multiclassing
• You can start with one uncommon magic item, or two common ones. I must approve this
• It will be point buy, and players will have all of their base stats be 5

Rule Changes

• I reserve the right to change any rule at any time that I deem breaks the game.
• I can request any changes to your character at any time.
• I must approve all characters, every time you level up and at the start.
• If you have spells, you must provide me a list of them, and what they do. I can't remember every spell, so a simple list like this will make character vetoing easier
• If you have abilities, provide me a list of them and what they do. Same reason as above.
• If you want to change a rule, then ask me. I'll likely let it slide, as I provide fun over rules

Recruitment Steps

1. Leave a message below, or message me on my discord.
2. We will then schedule an individual interview, where I will learn what kind of player you are.
3. If you pass, there will be an individual RP test where your character will go through a short 30 minute segment of game. If I believe you will gel well with the group, then you will pass and become apart of the game.

I'll be honest, I won't spice up this AD too much but I'm currently running a game called Memoirs of the Arcanum that is based entirely around a homebrew world I've been building for over a year now. We have active players who attend, almost, every session (Just being honest, sometimes stuff comes up.) and I'm big on sitting down with my players and building everything from the ground up. We even had personal prologues! We start 3-4:30 CST (We can work things around time wise, again super flexible!) and if you can't join that's perfectly alright! Your experience and such was truly tearjerking for a Dm. Oh and it's on Saturdays! (Which, again, can also change to Sundays!)
