Hi all, new DM here :) . I am looking for newer players to run this adventure with since I am new to DMing and DnD in general. The voice and rolls will be done in discord using Dnd beyond and Avrae bot, and we will play in roll20 for maps etc.
My DM style:
I like and encourage roleplay, as I will try to make it as immersive as possible for the players, by weaving in backstories, roleplaying npcs and monsters and of course mood music.
For this adventure I am looking for 4-5 players. I am still working out the time, but planning on weekly sessions most likely Friday, Saturday or Sunday Central Standard Time

What type of player are you?
Have you heard of this adventure before?
Can you dedicate time each week for 3-4 hour sessions?
How long have you been playing D&D: 2-3 years off and on but only a few sessions here or there
What do you love most about D&D: The lore, storytelling, and the immersive roleplay but I also love the combat.
What type of player are you: I am still fairly new but I love the roleplaying aspect.
Have you heard of this adventure before: I have heard of the title but that is about it.
Can you dedicate time each week for 3-4 hour sessions: Yes I can, I am completely available Saturdays and Sundays. I am also available any time after 7:30PM CST.
Firstly, thanks for posting and DMing. It is a huge job, one i struggle with so all the more props to you.
Name: Monty
How long have you been playing D&D: About a year, so kinda new, still make mistakes from time to time.
What do you love most about D&D: I love the social interaction aspect of D&D, cutting it up with fellow adventurers and NPCs alike, its all about the people experience. Exploring a world the DM creates and again, the social interaction.
What type of player are you? Honestly don't know how to answer that question. Im a laid back player, like to joke around and keep things light. My role play is normally intended to make people chuckle, or shake their heads.
Have you heard of this adventure before? I have heard of it yes, supposed to be dark and keeping players on the edge most of the game. never played it or read the content thou.
Can you dedicate time each week for 3-4 hour sessions? Yes, I can dedicate that time weekly. Depending on the time, I can't promise 100% attendance, but I can promise you I will do my best to try not to miss a session.
Well, thanks for your time posting and being a DM. Regardless of your choice, I hope you have a good day and campaign.
How Long Have You Been Playing DnD: I've only been playing for a bit? I've run my own homebrew setting that wasn't REALLY DnD but I've run and played in campaign style settings!
What Do You Love Most about DnD: I like the ability to make and form bonds with characters and such, and having something that I've done that I remember fondly for a long time as something fun
What Type Of Player Are You: I would say I try to be as story involved as I can, but other than that I can fit play styles where they're needed
Can You Dedicate Time Each Week For 3-4 Hour Sessions: Absolutely! I'm in EST so I can start earlier as well, and I never really have much to do during the days
Also! Please note that I am a minor if that affects anything at all with your decision (I'm seventeen and nine months though, I'll be eighteen in May). But either way, I would love to write in such a campaign, and I hope all goes well for you either way :D!
How long have you been playing D&D: About 2 years though most of it is in nontraditional dnd settings
What do you love most about D&D: The storytelling/Story aspect
What type of player are you: I am not quite sure exactly, as I've been a forever DM, but I am not a murder hobo thats for sure haha
Have you heard of this adventure before: No sir
Can you dedicate time each week for 3-4 hour sessions? Yes! though I can only ensure my attendance on Thursday/Fridays. Or any early sessions (I usually start work at 4 PST/UCT+8)
How long have you been playing D&D. Honestly not sure - 4+ years.
What do you love most about D&D? I love getting to spend time with people and crafting a story (I enjoy every part of the game, those are just my favorite). I have been DM-ing most of the above mentioned time and would love to just be a player.
What type of player are you? I try to be party glue - a player who picks/designs characters that allow others to play whatever they like and not have to worry about something missing. I spend time trying to make sure each member in engaged and engaging each other.
Have you heard of this adventure before? I have. Have not played it (see above note about DMing). The idea seems great.
Can you dedicate time each week for 3-4 hour sessions? I certainly have most evenings and Sat free (CST)
How long have I been playing: If I'm lucky enough to get a seat at your table, this will be my first game.
What do I love most about dnd: The idea of being able to interact with others in a limitless space and hopefully making friends while doing so.
What type of player: Well as its my first game I'm not sure. I do know that I want to experience the story and lore to its fullest and dive into my character. I love role-playing in general.
Have I heard of the adventure: i only know it by name. I've played the Baldurs Gate video games well the first two but thats the extent of my knowledge.
Will I be able to commit: 100% yes. I work from home four twelve hour shifts so any of those days will work for me, they are all my days off.
I have Profesional grade audio and video equipment I work on the radio as a job and have a home studio so my audio quality will only be limited by the bandwidth of the discord server.
I'm 100% reliable, when I say I'm going to do something and commit i follow through, I know that many dms have a hard time finding reliable players so I hope that's a strong selling point.
I also own all the source material in dndbeyond and am willing to share
How long have I been playing DnD? Off and on, about 1 year now. I started with a group locally at a game shop before the pandemic. I have started back again since they opened up and I play with an Adventurers' League, but we've only been meeting intermittently. When we're not meeting, I sit in on a more experienced group. I'm learning what I can from these fellows, since they're more experienced than I am, but I'd like to do something else. I'm also in a *very* home-brewed game every other week during the daytime on Saturdays as well and enjoying it thoroughly.
What do I love most about playing Dnd? The roleplaying, the adventure. The "not knowing what will happen in the next encounter" feeling.
What type of player am I? Definitely a beginner, but willing and able to learn and experience more. Like creating a characters' backstory.
Have I heard of this adventure before? I've heard of it, but never cracked open the book (online here or a hardback copy) and would like to try it. The parties I have played with recently have been working with Rime of the Frostmaiden and I'd like to have an adventure where I'm not freezing all the time. It's still winter here where I'm at. Lol.
Can I dedicate time each week for a 3-4 hour session? Sure. Friday nights work best, but I am committed to an event once a month on a Friday night. I can give the DM a heads up when that is, so we can plan ahead.
If you still have room and would like to add me, hit me up for my Discord ID.
What do you love most about D&D? Sometimes it's nice to be able to really flesh out a character without having to worry about worldbuilding or side characters so much. I also adore fantasy settings in general, so much that I've got a chunk of my wardrobe entirely dedicated to fantasy-inspired clothing.
What type of player are you? Definately heavy on the roleplaying. I do love getting some badass and greusome kills, but I'm really heavy into the writing.
Have you heard of this adventure before? Nope! Going in blind, so you can surprise me all you want.
Can you dedicate time each week for 3-4 hour sessions? Dependent. If they are during the day on sunday, then yes. Tight schedule unfortunately.
How long have you been playing D&D? about 3-4 years
What do you love most about D&D? when the Dm lays out a story that draws in the players and invokes real intrest and emotion from both character AND player
What type of player are you? im usually the father figure (even though im only 18) and i usually break up player disagreements and keep everyone moving.
Have you heard of this adventure before? Ive heard about it, but havent really read into it
Can you dedicate time each week for 3-4 hour sessions? Yes, but you should know i can only attend sunday sessions, and they must end before 5:10pm EST!
I'm new to playing it, but have been interested for a number of years. I do have some experience playing, and I know most of the RAW.
What do you love most about D&D?
The roleplaying. When I was younger I did a lot of text based rping, so DnD scratches this old itch of mine for creating a character and becoming them.
What type of player are you?
I am a roleplayer, through and through. I am naturally chatty, and I enjoy going back and forth in character. Of course, I don't like to hog other people's moments tho, everyone deseveres to have their moment to shine.
Have you heard of this adventure before?
I have heard of this campaign, but I've never played it. So i only know of the Baldur's gate location and that's it.
Can you dedicate time each week for 3-4 hour sessions?
Yes I can. I do have 2 campaigns on-going currently, one on Saturdays, and one on Mondays, but my college life leaves me with a lot of free time (thanks covid). So Sundays would be best for me.
How long have you been playing D&D? About 1-2 years... but I’ve taken break so some of it may be a bit new or well... relearned.
What do you love most about D&D? The ability to choose your own path. Sounds generic ... but I love creating relationships and having that creative aspect that gives you the option.
What type of player are you? I get into my characters.. love the roleplaying and I’m pretty laid back with most decisions. I’m able to reform to match the campaign and character created. Very flexible. :)
Have you heard of this adventure before? I have not, most campaigns I’ve been in were Homebrew. But quite interested!
Can you dedicate time each week for 3-4 hour sessions? I can. I did my previous campaigns.. able to now. As long as it’s later on in the afternoon.
