Welcome to Lethiapra. A world of semi advanced societies built on these sources of powers called Acian crystals. With these crystals things like airships, mechanical constructs and firearms are possible. Once a year a massive storm known as the great storm sweeps across the continents. For 5 days at the end of the year it rages but as it does it recharges the Acian crystals. This campaign will not be your traditional fantasy world. With the Acian crystals technology is much more advanced than in your typical world. The campaign will be heavy on the role play. Player backstories will matter and effect the story. The game will be held on fridays at 7:00 pm EST. We start at level 5 and characters in my campaigns are bound to get pretty powerful. Please let me know if you are interested. What Is Something You Would You Like To Do In a Game:
What Your Favorite RP Moment Has Been: 2 minute convo between 2 characters about our favourite foods, it was a very real conversation between my friend and i from the POV of our characters, it was a simple moment, but it really fleshed out our characters in the world of the game
What Is Something You Would You Like To Do In a Game: Reach level 10 (Ive only been in 1 campaign which got beyond level 10, but when we were level 6 the DM quit and i ad to replace him)
A Little About Yourself: I am a forever DM who is looking to play some of the characters i designed but never got to play
Time Zone: EST, but I'm moving across the country so its going to be MST in about 30 days
Experience: 2 years
Something I'd like to do in the campaign: Have some really good rp moments. Not many of the games I've played in have had them.
Favorite RP moment: When my character finished off the one of the main bad guys who killed my characters brother; it was just an amazing moment because all of the emotion I put into it.
A little a bit about myself: I love table top games and rpgs a lot. I'm usually a dm but really wanna be a player for a couple games
Favorite Movie: I know its basic but, I loved Endgame
D&D Experience: 6+ long-term campaigns, 3 of which were completed(Not TPK'd), 4 of which were 5e.
What Your Favorite RP Moment Has Been: Split between a Warhammer 40k game where going against the BBEG the DM was rolling near perfect.(Publicly, even if one of us wanted to be upset we couldn't) Constant crits. My character the tank didn't take too long to die to the crits, then was another member of the party and another. When there was one player left instead of fighting he pulled out the equivalent of a magic item that enhanced casting(A lot that he accumulated) And he snorted and used all of it at once. Essentially turning himself into a nuclear bomb TPKing us and killing the BBEG(Which was our end goal for the entire campaign, so we were all happy) It was a blast having everything go wrong and then one character The second is when the group of my most recently played game went to a bar and proceeded to roll two natural 1s, a three, and a 7 on fighting the strongest drinks they had. Everyone but two of us were plastered, and thus our paladin started to perform. Singing a tune for the bar, after which we all decided to chip in. I did a help action with them, turning their 12 into a nat 20(28 total), and the bard gave them bardic inspiration turning that 28 into a 35 when they rolled max on it as well. Leading to a legendary performance from a crew of shitfaced adventurers just having a good time together.
What Is Something You Would You Like To Do In a Game: I'd personally like to try a character concept I have of a druid or ranger with a supply of pet ferrets that they constantly use in and out of combat as close companions.(They would function as a single swarm unit) Optimally I'd like to find a way to make it work as a druid, but as a Tasha's beastmaster it's reasonable to have them as a beast of the land which I'd be fine with as well.
A Little About Yourself: I'm Mat or Mataske. Open, a bit blunt and loud when outside of sessions. I'm currently working on getting better accent variety for characters I play so that they all sound different. I've also played a ton of TTRPGs outside of 5e, but have a friend that wants to play and only has Fridays open, so I'd like to find a game to play with them.
Favorite Movie: I honestly watch very few and I'm not good at putting pins on my favorites since a lot are always really close. If I had to pin it down though, it'd be between Tropic Thunder(For humor) and Inglorious Bastards(For the subtlety of a few things I'd had missed if I wasn't paying attention.)
What Your Favorite RP Moment Has Been: Our party decides to go a different way then our DM had planned, so we come across a castle ruin with very high level foes that we couldn't take on as lvl 1s. My orc was the second largest in the party. I pick up the two little halflings and roll a dex check that passes to escape. The goliath, the most physically massive member of our group, fails his dex check so I have to roll for strength to drag him out safely. I succeeded and saved the whole f**ing party that day. Definitely my favorite moment.
What Is Something You Would You Like To Do In a Game: I have an idea for an ace bard that I want to try out some day. But last time I played my orc was quite rude and hard to get along with, which made RP relationships quite hard so this time I just want a more approachable character lol.
A Little About Yourself: Although I've only played one DnD campaign I've had some previous experiences playing other tabletop rpgs. I love playing oddball characters and having to make up a detailed backstory for it to make sense, like my Druid Orc. I do enjoy some nsfw sprinkled in sometimes, but I'm fine without if your campaign isn't 18+. I'm terrible at accents but I try anyway and laugh about it later.
Favorite Movie: The original Narnia movie for me. It's like what Harry Potter was to a lot of people. May not be the best in terms of quality but the nostalgia beats all else.
D&D Experience: I have dm'd for a couple short games ( basically one shots), and I played for almost a year in a long running campaign.
What Your Favorite RP Moment: My entire party was captured by the BBEG, our cage was inescapable from the inside, through a set of bars there was a guard who we were able to communicate with. The entire party tried their own ways to escape. We were also trying desperately to threaten or convince the guards to let us out. That's when the druid, who had a rust bag of tricks, attempted to throw a ball through the bars. The ball bounced off the bars and summoned a brown bear into cage. The party then used this chaotic event to convince this guard that the BBEG didn't tell him about the bear bars, and that he would be safe if he let us out. That was the tipping point and we were released.
What Is Something You Would You Like To Do In a Game: I want to try playing a more wise and experienced character, roleplaying a dumbass was fun, but someone with high intelligence and wisdom would be fun. I would love to make a character with a deep backstory and many connections that can be exploited for character growth.
A Little About Yourself: I love creating dnd characters in my free time, I also love videogames. I have never joined a dnd campaign outside of school, so I'm excited to start looking into playing games online. I like to bring comedy into dnd games, and I try to make the people I'm around laugh.
Favorite Movie: I like Coraline, I also enjoyed seeing Detective Pikachu in theaters when it was airing. I'm not too much of a movie person.
D&D Experience: Been playing since early 2020 around march
What Your Favorite RP Moment Has Been: I was once in a game where my warlock who was a level 4 at the time was fighting giant crabs and this one evil-looking, nasty-looking giant crab pop out of the water and started attacking us. Me the reckless warlock decided to come and attack the giant crab to help the other pc to escape, my warlock did it but it came at a cost.... the giant crab grabbed my warlock and started using him as an improvised weapon smacking around my other players in which ended with my character becoming diner for the crab and the paladin traumatized. We all had fun at that time, RIP Azlan the Warlock.
What Is Something You Would You Like To Do In a Game: I'd like to play a smart tactician character, I took inspiration from the Chinese tactician Zhuge Liang from the romance of the 3 kingdoms and from Sun Tzu the art of war. Would be fun planning attacks before the party starts to advance through the dungeons and RP as a Chinese tactician staying in the backlines giving the other PCs advantages and buffs.
A Little About Yourself: I'm 18 a weeb and a nerd at the same time, I like to read a lot of classic books such as the Count of Monte Cristo and romance of the 3 kingdoms.
What Your Favorite RP Moment Has Been: I won't bother going over the immense amount of context behind it (as these stories tend to have), but my favorite moment was probably an in-character conflict me and a friend had. The roleplay felt so good and it went beautifully. Thoughts were shouted, things were thrown, a spell or two was slung, and at the end of it all both our characters got well fleshed out and got to develop together for the better. It was amazing, and my friend did great considering he didn't have much experience RPing.
What Is Something You Would You Like To Do In a Game: Honestly, I would love to play a very "morally questionable" character. Not just some toxic "I'm gonna do everything I can to kill everything and ruin everyone's fun!" Just a character the others will genuinely not trust with moral decisions.
A Little About Yourself: I got into DnD 2 years ago after some friends convinced me to try it out. After I put the rules together in my head, I got *hooked.* I enjoy the RP and strategy elements of it. It can make you feel smart whether your a powergamer or genuinely good at talking!
Favorite Movie: Hard to choose, but my top 3 are definitely: Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc., and Coco.
