Assault on the Crimson Fleet

(Using Tuna's last rolls)

Tuna smashes through the wall and once you crawl through, you are met with another hallway. The hallway breaks off into three metal doors, forward, right, and left. Standing in the hallway are even more crewmates who have now spotted you. Roll initiative.

Initiative 10

Tuna will look over to Cass and say "Are we fighting our way aft to damage the ship or run for it.?" 

14 cass initiative:

“I think we should head out.  We ain’t takin on this whole ship by ourselves.  Let’s get up that ladder if we can!”

On her turn she retreats up the ladder.   (With gloves of climbing doesn’t cost half movement. 

As you climb out of the hatch, you realize that the metal plates have stopped moving. What used to be an open deck is now a cavernous room made of metal. The plates had extended up so far, they created a dome. On deck, you are greeted by several more sailors.

“I be thinking this some needs some holes in it to let in the air- or water!”

To the sailors she yells “arghh! Surrender now and we’ll let ye live!”(

Ari will use his action to retrieve two vials of ACID from his pack.  (created from the old Alchemy Jug, now out of service LOL)

With his bonus Action he instructs Harold to fly over and apply them to a section of the metal plating on the deck of the ship.  

OOC - I believe Tesservet had said grenade like objects didn't need a roll if targeting an area - not sure if you want a roll or not DM

Make an Intimidation check

20. Intimidation

Tuna on his turn will follow Cass up the ladder and try and lock the hatch behind him if he can.

Cass says” whot manner o boat is this?  Does this roof allow it to sink like a fish? Or is it fer protecting the deck?  Out with what ye knows or Tuna and Me will get it out of ye the hard way”

"W-we be in the realm of fishes already, miss. We are nearing the bottom of the bay! please don't hurt me"

Tuna will look up in frustration with the lock and then move to stand on it. He then says with a growl and flash of teeth "Wait that makes no sense, boats are built to stay above the water, what manner of magic lets it go under?" 

Cass looks at Tuna, and then back at the crew, a big evil grin on her face.  

”Tell ye mates whot be whot.   My fight isn’t with ye sailors-it’s with the commanders of the crimson fleet.  Sneaking in here under cover of darkness hoping to kill innocent people.    Puttin you good people on the wrong side of the fight.  

Tuna here- this lizardfolk, has gots a ship breaking maul.  In half a minute he can burst a hole right through this steel and drown the lot of ya.   everyone on this ship-  stone cold dead as fast as ye can say “bobs yer uncle”.  

Now Tuna and I you may have seen ain’t  afeered of no water-  we can swim like fishes and live just fine.     Water be me friend, even. (Here she uses shape water to animate a puddle into the shape of a skull and crossbones, which she freezes).

But all you-  and everyone on this ship- will die- (the skull and crossbones turn blood red, then black, to emphasize her point).    

Cause I don’t hate you, I gives you a chance-  You convince yer Captain to surrender this vessel to me- or ye all die.  Pretty easy choice right?   Now how long do ye need afore I tell him to start  awhackin?”

She motions to Tuna  to move to the hull of the ship with his maul.   

“oh and by the by-  there’s more n one way to convince yer Captain…” she says- making a throat slashing motion with her sword.

 Roll Persuasion or Intimidation (however you flavor that speech) to convince them

She has shifted over to persuasion-  appealing to them as fellow sailors that she really doesn’t want to kill.

18 persuasion in the roller-  plus she says a little prayer for guidance +2.  (In log).  20

The sailors seem to consider your proposition for a few seconds, before they decide against it.

They brandish their knives and cutlasses, and you can see that they are about to attack. Your speech seems to have had the opposite effect, rallying them against you.

"We are not fools nor traitors, we are warriors! For the Empire!"

(ooc-  are any of them close to the hull of the ship?  Are they close together at all?  Need a bit more detail before I figure what I will do)
