"I was more interested in things that needed doing around the village, or in the area nearby." Vaden says with a shrug. "If you have nothing, then I will definitely check in Natwick." He waits a moment to see if the cleric has anything to add, then will head back to the inn.
"There's always the danger of wolves in remote areas such as Nordheim. There's a small bounty of 10 gold for each wolf slain if that interests you. And a good wolf pelt can fetch as much as 15 gold. I suppose for those inclined, and capable, a fairly decent sum can be made."
"I would personally pay 100 gold for the pelf of Icefang. And of course you could keep whatever you find in it's lair. It's been terrorizing both Nordheim and Natwick for miles around."
"Interesting." Vaden says with a nod to the cleric. "Thank you for that information. I'll bring it up with the group I have been traveling with and see if this interests them. Without some sort of income we will likely be running out of coin in short order after all."
"I suppose I can spare a moment to relate one of the tales. A few years back a hunting party went missing. At first people thought they were holed up in a cave to weather a storm. Weeks later a lone member wandered into Nordheim in a rather horrid state. He was starved half to death and nearly frozen the other half. He survived for few days more suffering through a fever which eventually claimed the poor soul. During moments of wakefulness he would ramble and rant about the white wolf, Icefang."
"There have been other tales of travellers who have pushed themselves to reach Nordheim or Natwick, just beating out a storm that came upon them suddenly. At the last moments before a swirling cloud of snow would of swallowed them they claim to have glimpsed Icefang, a majestic white wolf that showed little concern for the cold."
"Some have simply claimed to see tracks near Nordheim and Natwick that dwarf those of a great bear. Wolf tracks to be sure, but far larger than would seem possible within the realms of nature."
Vaden gives the cleric a raised eyebrow after hearing of the strange wolf. "All of that and you are offering a meezly 100 gold for its skin. Seems like a dangerous foe to only be worth that much in return."
"I have limited funds here on hand but if you're serious and can rid these lands of such a bane I can requisition an additional 200 gold from the head of our church, if you don't mind waiting a few weeks for it to arrive?"
Back at the inn, Joroden is still sitting at the bar, trying to squeeze more info from the dwarf about adamantine.

"Not here in Nordheim. Why? Do you ave' a piece you want worked on?"
"I would like to get myself a piece someday, yes."
"It's not easy to come by, that's fer sure."
"How 'not easy'? Impossible, or just difficult?"

"Well, it can't be impossible now can it." He gestures vaguely toward his eye-patch. "I lost an eye cuz' of it. But yeah, it's pretty difficult to get your hands on some. I haven't seen any here in this flyspeck of a village." (His tone and inflection is obvious that he isn't trying to insult Nordheim, just over emphasize that you probably won't find any here.)
"Perhaps we'll meet your family."
I have a weird sense of humor.

Praeda turns back to the conversation. "Icefang?"

"You haven't heard? Icefang has plagued the north for decades, a great white wolf, the stuff of legends if even half the stories can be trusted."
"I haven't, and I'm rather surprised. Do you have the time to tell us some of those stories?"
I have a weird sense of humor.

"Fascinating. It reminds me of a story I heard once. Who in Nordheim would know the most about Icefang?"

"I'm not really sure. If you're interested in such stories and rumours then you can probably find your fill in the 'Leaping Goat."

"Let us see what the others think of this..." Vaden says with a nod to the cleric. He moves out of the temple and heads back towards the inn.
