"Glad to meet you two as well, and what brings you here Corrin? I'm looking for people in need of my help, but not sure why I thought this tavern would be the place to go for it."

**"Well, I'm not certain about this particular establishment, although it seemed...at the time...upon a main thoroughfare....an ideal location to meet others..."** She seems to be calculated out the exact reason for her to be in this tavern at this time.
**"..oh well...never mind that. I'm on a mission to broaden my ... education."** She searches for that last word looking around at the patrons, wondering what she could possibly learn in a place like this.
In the corner, idly watching the odd group from across the tavern was a well dressed, well groomed figure reading a book after waving his hand to clean off his neatly stacked dishes. Azure blue skin and navy blue hair marked him as not human, but the trait one would likely notice first was the deep denim blue sections beneath his eyes. They appeared almost as if his fatigue was sinking his eyes deeper into their sockets, behind his glasses though his eyes were wide open he looked a moment or two from passing out. While he had initially had no intention of joining this odd hodgepodge of people, a patron being punched onto his table quickly changed these plans. The Water Genasi quickly scrambled over to the small gathering, pulling up a chair and nodding, in a voice that sounded as tired as his eyes he said in a smooth voice "
Well hi there.....sorry to intrude but my table was rather rudely appropriated. I am Tributary. I could not hear if any introductions were made prior, but I am sure I will pick up names through further conversation. So please, don't stop on my account." Withdrawing an incredibly fancy looking book from his bag and holding a pen over it as though he was waiting for others to say something worth writing down.
"The more the merrier Tributary, good to meet you, I'm aurora. What brings you to this tavern?
It seems me and Corrin here are not exactly at the place we were hoping to be" Aurora says before thinking to herself Ah well, maybe I at least found some companions now

"Indeed, 'tis a pleasure to receive you and make acquaintances. Well met, Tributary, you may call me Nevaeh,"The aasimar smiles, her eyes shimmering slightly as she looks around at the assembled group at her table as she continues to pluck at the harp strings. "'Tis a possibility you are in a wrong place, but I believe there's some right in our stars, too. Not lightly do folk like us cross paths - meetings like this often have way of rippling out beyond what eyes can see... That fellow over there, in the torn clothes and drinking the wine of wolfberries, 'tis like melancholy glows dimly around him. Lost does he wander. 'Haps he should join our merry table as well, in this unlikely place, and we can all find our way?"
After the orc identifies the drink as nothing but wolfberry wine, George cautiously sniffs the mug again. Seeming to find the name and scent to match, he drinks deeply. But the first few gulps have already pulled him from the brink of dehydration, so he drinks more leisurely now. Overhearing the fairy speaking with others at a nearby table, the dark-skinned man turns to survey the room for the first time. When he spots Nevaeh, his back straightens. He watches her from his barstool until the group — including a blue-skinned gentleman now — turns to glance at George upon the fairy's mention of him. The scuffed and worn traveler's eyes widen at being caught staring, and he clears his throat. "Pri —" he begins, drawing out the syllable before stopping to say, "George." He gets to his feet and approaches the table, his eyes still wanting to linger on Nevaeh's face. "My name's George." He indicates the mug, raising it a little toward Aurora. "It's wolfberry wine," he says, wanting to put her mind at ease. He clears his throat again, and his eyes snap to Neveah's as if he's trying to see something in them. "And you are?"
Nevaeh gives George a smile. ""Tis a pleasure, George. I am called Nevaeh. You are most welcome to join our humble table. Seems gloom has drifted away from you thanks to this meeting, yes?"

The drow gets up and walks over to the table. He smiles again. "May I join you at this table? I have been hoping for interesting company. The name's Dart." Dart bows, and grins once again.
"I think I really needed this," he replies, again lifting the mug of wine a little. "It hasn't been my day." He looks for a seat, but Dart grabs the only empty one near Nevaeh, so George sits in another. He nods and repeats his name to Aurora, Corrin, Tributary, and a little reluctantly toward Dart. Almost as an afterthought, George locks eyes with Corrin and sort of leans in a little boldly.
Nevaeh chuckles. "It seems my table 'tis a popular destination! Welcome, gentle Dart. 'Tis the most interesting company one can find in this strange place that threatens its clientele with poison in their drink. What an unusual marketing strategy..."She states, then casts a glance at George, trying to figure out what he is doing staring so intently at Corrin.

George turns to look at the fairy. "Oh, well, bad luck, I guess. I was heading west and had a run-in with a troll under a bridge about half a day's walk back. Before I knew it, I was thrown from my horse. And then it ate my horse." He rubs the back of his neck. "So, I've been on foot, which is not my usual mode of transportation. It's surprising how barren this part of the land is. There wasn't a soul to impose upon between there and here." He takes another sip from his mug. "Are you from around here?"
The Water Genasi tilts his book back a bit so the others couldn't easily see what he was writing as he began to furiously write. His eyes swiveled back and forth between those who were talking, and glancing down at the book in his hands. He reacted with a bit of a facial 'oooo' to George's proclamation of his horse being eaten, nodding lightly as he scribbles it in. Despite having been given a relative silver tongue, the desire to use it rarely came about. Especially when the company had yet to prove terribly interesting.
(Mind you not an ooc shot, just in character Tributary is gauging people still)
"It seems not many of us are here by choice, really. Well at least we found some company for now, and who knows maybe there are some people who need our help here."She looks around eagerly.

"I TOLD YOU TO LOOK AT THE BOARD, NOT TO ASK ME!" The orc pushed away a very drunk man towards a board covered in papers. The papers all list some type of bounty or quest. Some are incredibly weird, some are just straight-up advertisements, while others sound simple and to the point. Several have the exact same message, THEY’RE COMING. The truth-teller, the mischief-maker, they’re all coming! Run. Run far away!
"I am here, by choice. I was on a quest, needed a break, and this seems like an... interesting establishment. With... interesting company." Dart glances around the table at everyone else. His eyes flicker with excitement and he stands up. "What do you say.. we go on an adventure. This town probably has monsters in need of killing."
Nevaeh peers at the board. "Peculiar... A same message, repeated o'er and o'er... 'tis quite strange. A paper plea, warning all to fly far and fast. Are any of you familiar with the... truth-teller or the mischief-maker? Why should truth and mischief be fled fromwith such haste?"

**"Oh my apologies, my apologies. My name is Corrin Nackle. It is a pleasure to meet you."**
The fairy arrives at the table asking about the origins of the song. *It is a fair question.* she thinks to herself.
**"Well met, Aurora."** she says. **"Corrin Nackle."** She again adjusts the glasses on her face.
Yeah it's common, no posion or anything. Just wine.
