ARLEN You continue on to the bathhouse, the thought of getting clean taking your mind. You walk in and see a selection of rooms closed off by the sliding screen. A pair of gnomes stand there, waiting for you, one male and one female, both plump and jolly-looking with twinges of grey in their hair. The man has a straggle of chin whiskers and both are wearing bathrobes. "Well how do ya do?" The woman asks. "What will it be youngin'? We've got 5 Copper for a quick wash, 3 silver for a tub for an hour, or a gold for the full treatment; bubbles and all that."
Arlen nods in greeting, then reaches for his money pouch tied to his side to pull out the gold piece required. All the while making sure that hood revealed as little of his face as possible.
ARLEN "Very well." The gnomes take your payment and lead you to a room at the far end and leave you inside, shutting the sliding screen. You stand before a room with a marble tub in the center, filled with steaming water and bubbles. Scented candles align the room and bring the smells of various fruits and trees. A few levers and pulleys sit in the back, and look to be some kind of massage machine. As you start to take off your sleeveless shirt you notice something poking out of your stitched-on pocket. An envelope, with no markings.
"I... Honestly do not know" - Hedrak replies calmly -"Mine is a tribe of warriors, hunters and survivors - so I was drawn to your shop's name and contents, but I am not sure I am able to afford any of the wares you are offering. And they all seem exceptional, mainly that dagger" - he nods at the one in display.
Arlen puts the letter down and under his clothes to keep them out danger of water before relaxing for the first time in many years. As he lay in the hot water, idly swirling the bubbles around with his hand he reminded himself to get a new set of clothes and a mask.
HEDRAK - The owner looks over at the case and smiles. "Ah, Mhakus? Yes, that blade does catch the eye, don't it? Recovered from an old battleground they say. It's got some magic to it but I don't have any idea what. I set the price as it is since I don't really know the properties, but I'd be willing to lower it to your needs if you're short of coin."
The half-orc smiles - "I may take you up on your offer, but unfortunately I doubt I have more than 10 gold in my belt" - he nods - "So perhaps we can make business another day on Mhakus"
"I have been on the road for sometime now though, and my weapons are starting to require maintenance - do you possess such tool kits in your shop?"
HEDRAK "I do, I can do simple repairs for 4 silver for repairing one item. I also do enhancements, but that tends to run a bit more" His grin widens at the prospect of finding a new costumer. "What's your name, friend?"
"I am named Hedrak" - the half-orc nods - "And I was thinking more along something portable I can take with me, for repairs and maintenance while I am on the road"
"I'm Vicwood, at least that's what I go by around here." He pulls out a folded piece of parchment from his vest of wolf hide and uses an inkwell on the counter to begin making a note. "I can arrange for such a device, but it would take around 4 days to get here. The cost would be around 17 gold and 4 silver, but I can drop that down if you need."
"I will not commit to something I cannot afford master Vicwood" - Hedrak shakes his head - "Thus, do you have a simpler and cheaper offer? I would take perhaps a set of whetstone to keep my blades sharp, and a protective oil to prevent corrosion?"
Vicwood looks up from his note taking and grins. "That, I can do." He refolds the parchment and tucks in back into his pocket, then disappears into a closed-off room before emerging with the desired supplies. "We'll say a silver and 2 copper for the lot?" He puts two whetstones and a large vile of a protective oil.
Dharrus take a slight step closer to the conversation, but tried to look like he isn’t paying attention. He looks over the meat available and asks no one in particular “ho there! Do you have any fine treats available? Some smoked dried strips maybe or perhaps just some pulled meat for munching on?”
The male dragonborn looks up from his work and steps over to you with a cloth in hand, displaying a variety of meats. He points out each and lists their prices in slightly broken common. They seem to have a wide selection, but it's hard to focus as you hear the female dragonborn say, "I don't care what you tell your business partners, other than the fact that we say no to this horrible deal. Now, if that is all, I say good day!" She turns but the older gentleman lingers for a moment longer, a grim smile etched upon his wrinkled face. You come back to the male dragonborn, who points to a slab of lamb with a claw-like finger.
1lb of mutton or beef = 1 Silver 1lb of Ham = 1 Silver and 4 Copper 1lb of Salted Beef - 1 Silver and 8 Copper 1lb of lamb = 3 Silver 1lb of Wolf Meat = 3 Silver 1lb of Salmon = 6 Silver
“We have a deal” - Hedrak nods at the half-elf, producing the coins from his pouch to pay for the wares -“I will be returning though, soon” - he adds - “Thank you for the welcome into your store”
Dharrus takes the meat and nods his thanks while handing over the payment. He takes his time to see if the gentleman or his compatriot do anything else. If not, he’ll leave with the intention of coming back to see what’s going on.
(he doesn’t recognize the gentleman does he?)

DHARRUS -
The male dragonborn looks up from his work and steps over to you with a cloth in hand, displaying a variety of meats. He points out each and lists their prices in slightly broken common. They seem to have a wide selection, but it's hard to focus as you hear the female dragonborn say, "I don't care what you tell your business partners, other than the fact that we say no to this horrible deal. She turns but the older gentleman lingers for a moment longer, a grim smile etched upon his wrinkled face.
You come back to the male dragonborn, who points to a slab of lamb with a claw-like finger.
1lb of mutton or beef = 1 Silver
1lb of Ham = 1 Silver and 4 Copper
1lb of Salted Beef - 1 Silver and 8 Copper
1lb of lamb = 3 Silver
1lb of Wolf Meat = 3 Silver

“We have a deal” - Hedrak nods at the half-elf, producing the coins from his pouch to pay for the wares - “I will be returning though, soon” - he adds - “Thank you for the welcome into your store”
“Hmm, I’ll take a pound of the salted meat please.”
(Is the older gentleman still standing there?)
DHARRUS
You hand the dragonborn the according payment, and receive a one pound bundle of salted meat.
(Yes)
Dharrus takes the meat and nods his thanks while handing over the payment. He takes his time to see if the gentleman or his compatriot do anything else. If not, he’ll leave with the intention of coming back to see what’s going on.
