"Oh, I think I have some other tricks up my sleeve to take care of that ooze Zal." Aelyn says expertly shuffling a deck of cards that seemed to come out of nowhere. "As long as we don´t cut it in half I think we will be good."
"Oh, I think I have some other tricks up my sleeve to take care of that ooze Zal." Aelyn says expertly shuffling a deck of cards that seemed to come out of nowhere. "As long as we don´t cut it in half I think we will be good."
“I figured you would but I like to have a plan B up my sleeve incase you’re not available for some reason.“ Zal says with a nod and a smile.
"Oh, a poetry lover in our midst."Aelyn says smiling widely at the kobold. "I´m no poet, but I can certainly give it a try." He adds while briefly shuffling his deck of cards, seemingly for some inspiration. He then speaks in a melodious voice. "Behold good folks, a floral king the constant gard´ner of his pack sweet fragrance to them he will bring his name good folks, is Brikabrak."
Aelyn then turns to Joslyn. "If you have anything to detect the ooze that would surely be helpful." He says, curious over what Joslyn would find in her backpack.
Secretly impressed, Skorli mimics gagging upon hearing the verse, so as not to inflate Aelyn's ego any further.
Whether or not the dwarves ever answer his query, he will announce, "I am ready to venture inta the mountain... who is wit' me?" and he moves forward, using his glowing shield to illuminate the path.
"I´m wit´ye Skorli." Aelyn says imitating the voice of Skorli, smiling widely, ready with a lit torch in one hand and his deck of mysterious cards in the other, to go ooze hunting.
Brikabrak claps "Wow! That was really good! Did you just make that up now?" But upon hearing Skorli, Brikabrak cuts off his line questioning and prepares himself, picking up a few more regular stones and getting into the marching order.
Brikabrak looks to Joslyn rummaging through her bags, "I don't know what we'll need, my home sometimes used to get oozes, but we just threw rocks and stuff at them until they just kind of..."he makes a deflating noise with his tongue and gestures with his hands a blob pancaking out. "What do you have in there, anyway?"
"Ooh, a wand. What does it do Joslyn?" Aelyn asks, eyes wide with curiosity, about Joslyns trinkets. "I can certainly try to make use of it if no one else wants to." He says smiling at the others.
(OOC: I think we are ready to go DM, as soon as the dwarves answer Skorlis questions :-)
The dwarf that has been speaking for most of the time says, "these stones allow you to speak with the bearer of the other stone over long distances. We believe these ruins may have once been a form of shrine for a god but we have not figured out what god yet. Now my dwarf friend why are we not scared of the dragon? We have been in enough dangerous places to know that a dragon is only a real threat if you annoy it, as long as you leave it alone it will hopefully do the same."
After speaking with the dwarves they show you to the room where they encountered the ooze. Your torchlight lights up this 40 by 40 feet room. Across the room you see a blood-stained limestone alter. There are no other doorways leading out of this room.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Be ready, I´ll just take a peek." Aelyn says to the others and quickly sticks his head into the room to make sure the ooze isn´t waiting for them right over the doorway. Perception:7
(OOC: Brikabrak can decide if he want´s to carry a torch or Joslyns wand :-)
Skorli is suddenly startled by the dwarves' response, he had temporarily nodded off, thinking them paralyzed by some spell. He chuckles at their naïve view of dragon psychology, but shrugs. (In Common) "Verra well, we shall clean up yer beasties for ye. But I advise ye to think again about tempting fate, and dragons."
Peering through the doorway, the cleric looks up at the ceiling for any discolored patches, and at the floor and visible walls.

Still staring down the dwarves, Skorli remarks over his shoulder, "Yeah. Aelyn could read some of his poetry to it."
"Hey, how did you know?" Aelyn says smiling to Skorli.
“I figured you would but I like to have a plan B up my sleeve incase you’re not available for some reason.“ Zal says with a nod and a smile.

"Trust me Zal, as long as the ooze doesn´t get the drop on us we will figure out plan B as it slowly slithers towards us." Aelyns says smiling.
"Say, Aelyn, do you really write poetry?" Brikabrak asks as he peers into the cave "Would you mind sharing some with us? I love poetry."
((I'm fine with the suggested marching order))
Joslyn seems to be digging around in her bag for something. "What exactly do you think we'll need, I'm sure I have something that can help."
