"Do you want the strongest or the most competent?" Questions the voice as Crowfell twists his head curiously. "Because if you want the most competent... I'll need my wand. Even the strongest will need their wand. Or whatever they use." The voice was quiet for a few moments. Then. "Here is my plan. My House does not actually support Lolth. Yes, I'm that half-drow over there. However. If they get wind I am here, they will arrange to let me go... And the ones that protected me from the other prisoners. Even if I were to tell everyone that Her Grace does not support Lolth, not everyone would believe me. For this to happen, I need to gain access to the letter room. However. I will tell everyone of your plan. I will keep the connection open for a little longer if you have any thoughts, but then I will need to close it to share with everyone else what you wanted."
It seems like the the voice takes a few moments to take a few comical, unnecessary breaths.
Just then some voices and feet sound just outside the cell. Looking out in the dim light you can make out the figures of four people: The mistress, senior priestess, Ilvara Mizzrym with a tentacle clad staff in her hand. Next to her, her current right hand man: Shoor Vandree, holding his sticky wand in a threatening manner. Behind him the junior priestess, Asha Vandree, who is in layman's terms, a giant suck up it was that obvious. And finally behind her was the disgraced Jorlan Duskryn, his faced scarred from some recent incident that led to his demotion.
"Hush you fools!" Ilvara snarls, waving her staff at the now excited twins. She mutters a couple words quietly and the twins suddenly slump over, looking sick. "One more day of work, perhaps. I need this place looking right when the caravan arrives." She turns to leave, Asha giving a questionable look at the group, Shoor ignoring them completely. Jorlan tarried a moment, giving a furtive glance back and forth until the others were just along enough before leaning over. "I can help you escape...if you want...tomorrow...after work shifts. I know Asha doesn't want Ilvara here either. I'll bring your meal tomorrow, leave it unlocked...deal?"
Wary and paranoid of being caught, the connection to the dwarf ends... and the connection to Jorlan begins. In his mind, he hears the word: "Deal. House Maefin does not forget the favors done to their own. The more help you can give us, the bigger the reward will be for you. Although, I'm happy enough with the door unlocking if you wish to leave it at that."
For anyone confused about the ability he's using.
Awakened Mind
Starting at 1st level, your alien knowledge gives you the ability to touch the minds of other creatures. You can telepathically speak to any creature you can see within 30 feet of you. You don’t need to share a language with the creature for it to understand your telepathic utterances, but the creature must be able to understand at least one language.
Seeing no other way out at the moment, Kel nods their head at Jorlan. "Deal," they agree aloud, though they suspected the man would turn on them in the end. Beaten dogs tended to run back to their masters once the beating was done. Kel watched them all go, their small spider friend scuttling down their arm to sit primly on their hand.
"Wait!" Finn calls as quietly as possible to Jorlan from his seat next to the cell bars. "What do YOU get in return? I don't believe you'd actually help us solely out of the kindness of your heart"
Sennet butts in before Jordan can respond. "Isn't it obvious? A lover scorned. He wants her seat, or just wants to see her suffer. Either way, he wins."
Ront laughs. "A drow with feelings!? Thats a good one!" The myconid's presence fills their minds briefly: "Stop! It is only a matter of hours before we are hauled off to work again, we should get some sleep if possible. Everyone should gather as much information from where they work tomorrow as they can so can formulate a proper escape plan." The voice goes quiet, and the other prisoners make some sort of general assent before doing their best to get comfortable before a brief night of sleep.
[If there is anything you would like to do before or while you sleep let me know. Otherwise I will continue a bit later.]
The night is not easy for anyone, as the conditions are harsh, even for hardened characters. Before too much rest can come, you are all awakened by the clanging of iron and feet, as guards arrive to begin assigning you your chores for the day.
[Please roll a d20 and a d10. Later I will let you know where you will work and with whom. Just to be expeditious, once you know all that and are ready to post your activity, know you will get one post to tell me what you do during your shift. You can control the NPC as you wish to help you (within reason). I will respond once you have all made those posts]
[You will be working with "Prince Derendil" tasked with feeding the Quaggoths in their den, cleaning the den and cleaning the path that runs along the outpost wall]
[You will be working with Sarith Kzekarit, and tasked with cleaning the guardhouse across from your cell and taking any garbage and such to the pool to dump and dispose]
[You will be working with Eldeth Fedrun, and tasked with cleaning the southern watchtowers and ensuring the quaggoths monitoring the basket are not sleeping on the job]
[You will be working with Jimjar (who is already trying to take bets on who will fall into the webs below first) and tasked with cleaning the priestess's chambers (all 3 levels)]
Remember you only have 1 post to officially do whatever you want to try. I'll then post what checks, if any, need to be made before we go on. Feel free to use your partner as you wish (keeping in character).
Crowfell will clean the guardhouse diligently. Doing. -Exactly- as he's told. No messing things up. Only... he's going to try to steal a dagger, if there's one there. Take a look and study any letters or documents. All, discretely as possible.

Finn can't see that he can do anything useful, so he will go to sleep.
Crowfell sleeps, dreaming of his patron, perhaps. If he does... it's a very fitful sleep.
Kel sleeps, their pet spider curled into the crook of one arm, and dreams of their family.
