Most of you are able to focus on what's going on at the moment, though Ri seems to be amazed by the lights, captivated by them even after they're gone. "No! Stop!" The girl calls after Lyla, but she is already past the door. The painted girl makes a motion that looks like inhaling deeply - though there's no sound of air being sucked in - then shouts at the top of her lungs, closing her eyes and bending her body "forward" as she does, though the painted girl is still a part of the flat painting. "They got past me! Get her out!" For a moment, nothing special happens, but then... Delilah suddenly disappears. One moment she's there, standing out of the inn; the other, she's not anywhere to be seen.
For everyone other than Delilah:
The girl then "rises" and opens her eyes, seeing that Randal is about to leave as well. "No! Go back!" She shouts at him. Then, she makes movements with her hand, as if taking something in her hand and throwing it away.
Everyone - please put your actions in spoilers for the time being. You can look at the spoilers the others post (unless they tag it for the DM only). This is because Delilah is no longer in the same place, so she can't know what you're doing.
Randal:
Randal suddenly feels like many small hands try to grab him, pull him back and away from the door. He can resist by making a Strength check (DC 8). If he passes, nothing happens. If he fails, Randal is pulled back towards the other end of the room and becomes Restrained. The others will notice only if he fails.
Ri:
Rithi realises the lights are long gone. There's nothing to marvel at. Rithi is no longer Charmed nor Incapacitated nor has any movement penalty.
Blinking once, twice, three times, Ri seems to shake off the lights. She swears she can still feel them dancing in her eyes, and she has to give her head another rough shake. Then she takes a step back as she realizes that Lyla is gone. "What-" She looks around the room before her eyes come back to rest on the girl in the painting. Her entire body seems to bristle now, that dark expression coming back full force across her face. When she speaks, her words are sharp, sure, but her voice never rises into a shout. Just slow, steady, and threatening. "What did you do to her?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
For DM:
Randal struggles against the pull of countless hands tugging at his body and trying to drag it deeper into the room.
Strength 9
For all remaining:
Randal leans toward the center of the room, but grabs onto the door frame and maintains his position in the threshold. Looking out of the doorway into the town, Randal doesn’t see anything out of the ordinary. Just the empty street where Lyla should be. “She is gone! Vanished!”he exclaims to the others, eyes wide in surprise, or shock. “Should we follow her?” He turns toward the child “What did you do to her?”
"I made sure she wouldn't disturb anyone. Now, if you don't want the same to happen to all of you, stay inside!" The girl shouts. "Move back! Now!" You all get the feeling that she's having a hard time dividing her attention between all of you. She keeps turning from one to another, not sure who to address at each time. She seems to linger on Randal, who is still closest to the exit, standing just one step away from the outside. "Why are you so stubborn? Impatient? Why can't you just wait?!"
Randal:
Please make another strength check, as the hands attempt to pull Randal back once again. They're weaker than before, though. The effect is the same, but the DC is now 5.
Randal feels the hands clutch against him one more time and fights to hold his place in the door.
Strength 8
Randal weakly resists the hands, he doesn’t put much effort into it this time. He is confused and unsettled. He does not want to remain here and give whatever is outside more time to get ready for who knows what, but he definitely does not want to disappear. Given that the others have not made a move to go outside yet, he is not going to either. He retreats to find comfort in music.
For all still in the area:
“Fine, I will wait.” Randal moves towards the center of the room and sits down cross-legged. “Why can’t you just tell us what we are waiting on?” Pulling his lute around to his front, he plays to take his mind off of the situation and try to calm his nerves, a haunting melody of sadness, loss, and regret.
eTess waits. “I will wait. But you bring her back safe when this is over. And if you need help, just tell us what this is all about … Thanks for playing, that is nice. “
Raising a hand in the air, trying to show she’s not really a threat, Ri takes another step back from the painting. Her other hand slides from her glaive, but it stays close in case she needs to fight. She doesn’t say another word, her mouth shut and her lips pressed thin. Her eyes dart around to the others. Waiting to see what they’ll do. Waiting to see what happens next.
Now that everyone in the room back away from the girl, she seems more at ease, though she doesn't let her guard down just yet. "Thank you for being reasonble. I can't tell you what you're waiting for, but you'll understand soon." This is somewhat strange. Usually, these are the kinds of responses an adult might give a child about the age of this one's. "I believe it's almost over. Just a minute more, probably."
Ri shifts back a half-step, crossing her arms over her chest now. She doesn’t appear to be terribly patient, given the tapping of her boot now. She’s keeping it quiet, but there is this sense of restless energy about her. Then she focuses her attention to Randall, a single eyebrow arched at him, a slight scowl still on her face.
”Do you usually just start playing in weird situations?”
"Not exactly," the painted girl answers Randal, "but it's hard for me to explain exactly. You'll understand soon, I promise. Look, this one is already gone." She points at the spot where Ri was tapping her boot on the floor just a moment ago. You didn't even notice she stopped, and she definitely didn't go anywhere without you noticing. She's just... not there anymore.
Randal and Tess:
"I wonder, who of you will be next?" She asks the two who are left. "Or perhaps together? I haven't seen this happen to anyone before, I admit. I'm actually curious about how it feels." She looks enviously at the two. "I wish I had an actual body. These paintings are boring. Even the circus has nothing entertaining for me to see anymore. Playing with you was fun, though. If only we could play without you trying to leave the door..."

DM and Tess
“I don’t understand..where did she go? What is happening? We have waited like you asked!”Randal pleads with the child for more information. He turns towards each of the other paintings, looking for any sign of Ri or Lyla among the paintings on the wall. Did they disappear only to be trapped in one of these scenes?
Neither Ri nor Lyla appear in any of the paintings. "I told you before, you won't remain here forever. I appreciate you staying inside, though." Randal turns towards Tess, but she's no longer there. Randal and the paintings are all that's left in the room.
Randal:
"Well, seems like you're the last one left. Maybe I'll go to sleep after you're gone. Maybe you could play a lullaby for me until that happens?" The girl moves away from the door, to the painting where she sat at first. Parts of the sofa are burnt now, but there's enough space for her to lie on it if she folds her legs. "Oh, and don't try to leave while I close my eyes. I'll notice."
Leacy may have been keeping quiet during most of the conversation, but she does talk occasionally. Usually when asked directly but sometimes just to correct something Dromi says. This time, however, was neither. As Dromi was talking, she must have said something - something nobody noticed, probably; nobody but Leacy. Just a small jab. An unexpected joke. Something meant for Dromi, which Lyla doesn't even understand. Especially considering Leacy's soft voice being completely overshadowed by Dromi's fruity one. However, Dromi notices, and her words are immediately replaced by a loud though pleasant, rolling laughter.
"Oh! Leacy!" She calls when she finally calms down and stops laughing. "You meanie! Have I ev-" She stops when she hears knocking on the door. In fact, this was not the first time someone knocked, but who could possibly hear a knock while Dromi is laughing as she did right next to them? "Guests? At this time?" Dromi stands up. "Anyone been expecting someone?" As neither of the other two women say they did, Dromi approaches the door.
The door opens. In front of the group stands the priestess of Oruthia - Dromi. She's a Human woman in her mid twenties, rather tall - taller than Tess and Rithi even, by a bit, but still shorter than Randal. Her hazel hair is braided so that the braid goes under the hairs (what we call a french braid). Her green eyes are energetic and as she takes in the sight of those in front of her, a smile spreads on her face. "Ri!" She hugs Ireen. Appearanly, she was not refering to the armoured Ri. Then, she shifts her attention to the others. "Tess, Randal! Welcome. Ah, come in, come in!" When she notices the armoured Ri, she pauses for a brief moment. "You won't need that outfit in this house." She says sincerely but also in a friendly manner. "My name is Dromi. What's yours?" She reaches forward, offering her hand for a shake. Ri notices that Dromi looks strong. Not likely stronger than herself, but strong. However, kindness, a bit of curiousity and joy are noticeable in every word she says and every move she makes.
Behind Dromi is a rather small living room, perhaps 10' squared, with a small, low stone table. On the other side of the room, there's an opening, leading to other rooms, most likely. The room seems particularly simple and modest. On the table are three empty bowls of soup, with spoons lying in them, next to them... each in a different position. The closest one seems to be Dromi's, as nobody is sitting in front of it. In front of the one on the left there's a flat, simple pillow. On it sits a familiar young woman everyone knows as Lyla. Across the table, also on a simple, flat pillow, sitting on her shins is another young Human woman. She's the second shortest person in the room, after Ireen, but her black hair is definitely the longest in the room. She has dark eyes, though they only study the group for a mere moment before looking away shily. She is beautiful and bonny.
Once Dromi and Ri get acquainted, if they do, Ireen steps backwards. "I'll be going then. Good night Mi, good night everyone. Last chance to come with me." Her eyes lay on each of the three that came with her briefly, lingering on Randal noticeably longer.
“It is good to see you Dromi. It’s been an interesting visit and day.” Tess starts talking… not really sure how to broach the subject of not staying in the Inn..
(thanksgiving week in the USA will be a little slow posting)
Lyla looks happily surprised to see familiar faces. She looks between Dromi, Tess and Randal. "You three know each other?"
Lyla also stands up as Ireen steps backwards. "Going so soon? We've barely just met! My name is Lyla, and you are... Ri? Like this Ri?" Lyla gestures to the other Ri, clearly expecting an explanation.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
“Good evening, Dromi”Randal steps to the front of the group and gives a warm smile “We are sorry to intrude, but we are looking for help with a place to stay tonight. Perhaps we could shelter for the evening in your stable? By the way, I want to thank you again for speaking with Jenner after my poor performance earlier today. I believe I may have won him over after a second chance in the tavern.”
Randal looks around the room, eyes meeting each of the other guests. He recognizes Lyla from the inn, and Leacy from his earlier visit. He tries to determine if Leacy looks anything like the girl from the painting in the inn, the one who trapped them in the main room. Perception: 13.
He turns back to Ireen as she moves to leave “Thank you again, Ireen. I would like to take you up on your offer, but I think it is best if we all stay together and I don’t want to be a burden on you. But perhaps we can meet again tomorrow?” Randal sounds hopeful with the last question.
"In the stable?! I could not call myself a priestess of Oruthia if I let a guest sleep in my stable. Besides, Mika's there, and that doesn't leave you a lot of space." She stops, looks back at Leacy, who seems to be looking away from everyone at the moment. Then back to Randal and the group. "However, we don't have any beds to give you. I already agreed to give Lyla my bed... but it's too small to fit all of you. Maybe two of you can sleep together if you don't mind being that close. Other than that... I can only give you pillows and sheets you can use to sleep on in this room. If you need room to sleep in, I'd suggest you go to the inn..." She eyes Lyla for a moment, then back to the others. "Or do you all also have a quarrel with Sier at the moment? What is that Elf doing?"
Meanwhile, Ireen takes a few steps back towards Dromi's house. "Ah, no. My name is Ireen. Ri is just a... a nickname Dromi calls me by." Ireen is a Human woman of about average height. She is blonde, in her very early twenties, and she wears a simple pale pink coloured dress, one that looks more comfortable than beautiful, though there's a kind of charm in that as well. She looks a bit tired, and her hair seems to be a mess. Her dress is also dirty, slightly redder than it should be in some spots due to the desert's dust. "But yes, I'm not going to stay... I should go now." She does not provide any further explanations. "Sure, I'm free tomorrow," she answers Randal. "Same time, same place? Or perhaps some better idea?"
Lyla:
Please make an Insight check.
Randal:
Do they look alike? Yes. Both are girls, both have black hair, both have dark eyes, both have pale skin, and Randal thinks they share a few features more. Are they the same person, though? Hard to tell. They surely don't act the same, and from the little he knows each, he doesn't think their personality is similar. Their voices aren't the same either. Well, Leacy is obviously much older, so it makes sense she'd have a different voice than a young girl's, but it's more than that. Leacy's voice is soft and weak, and that's when she speaks. The girl's? It was shrill, high pitched and loud. It was also brittle and tremulous, but that might be a result of the situation.
