Following behind the Aasimar, I push up to the counter and lay a silver piece down and ask "We're looking for a Tarina, could you point is in her direction my good sir?"
I stalk them to the tavern, and watch them go in, but don't enter myself.
Curious. I think to myself. What brings them to a seedy place like this.
I take up a position across the street, watching the main entrance. Squatting down, I rub dirt on my pale, pocked skin and try to make myself resemble one of the many destitute citizens of the lower city.
I proceed to beg.
"A coin for the poor. Copper piece for the starving..." My voice rasps out. My attention never fully leaving the entrance of the tavern.
Thus I wait, to see what happens next.
For Edwin:
"Many citizens and guards pass you by without a second glance, others not noticing you at all until a girl in pigtails being lead along by her parents sees you and drops a single copper coin into your cup with a smile as they hurriedly move passed you, her parents encouraging her to move along."
"Taking a look around the room you noticed 2 humans running around taking orders and delivering drinks, 2 bounces flank the entrance, one half-ogre, one suit of animated armor. The tables on the first floor are crowded with well-armed patrons. A drunk patron sleeps on the couch on the northern wall near the fireplace and a staircase on the eastern side leads to the second floor"
Following behind the Aasimar, I push up to the counter and lay a silver piece down and ask "We're looking for a Tarina, could you point is in her direction my good sir?"
"The bartender grabs the silver off the counter and slides it into his pocket before motioning towards the stairs, he then spits into the mug hes cleaning and goes back to cleaning it"
Everything was moving quickly and Nashwa burst through the doors of the tavern, making a little more noise than she would have liked.
"I'm here!" she called out after the leonin as she made her way towards the stairs. "Don't leave me behind!"
"As Saberiel begins cautiously making her way up the stairs, floorboards creaking below her feet, Elphti following closely behind, Nashwa comes bursting out of the tavern doors causing several patrons to look up from their games and arguments to watch a 7 foot tall loxodon attempt to quickly move across the crowded room, only stepping on 2 feet as she makes her way across the room, earning some glares and curses but no challenges. As Saberiel makes her way to the top of the stairs she sees rugs covering the wooden floors, lanterns hanging from the rafters, the smell of food is stronger up here. There is two large tables on the west side of the room, both full of patrons, eating, drinking and playing games."
Do I recognize anyone as a leader or possibly Tarina? Or the games being played?
"At the table nearest to you sits a human female you believe could be Tarina with only other men at the table, at first glance it appears they're playing baldurs bones"
Its a dice game which your character doesn't have proficiency with but that doesnt mean you cant give it the ole college try. like me playing ticket to ride, im not good but i know how to play, you can do the same :)
Baldur’s Bones. Baldur’s Bones is a popular dice game in the taverns of Baldur’s Gate. Each player requires several six-sided dice. The rules are as follows:
Each player puts the agreed ante in the pot.
Each player rolls three dice. Play then proceeds clockwise around the table, with the host of the game going last.
On their turn, a player can choose to “stand” or “roll.” If the player stands, the next player can take a turn. A player who rolls takes an additional die and rolls it. If the total of their dice exceeds 21, they “bust” and are out of the game. Otherwise they can keep rolling additional dice until they either stand or break.
After everyone has had a turn, the highest point total (excluding players who busted) wins the game and takes the pot.
I observe the game until I see an opening to join, and add my ante to the pot
For Sabriel:
"You move over to the table and take up position to watch and take the next available spot. After a minute one of the patrons busts leaving Tarina as the winner, he curses her name and swears to win his money back. Confirming your suspicion that it is her but no spot has opened to play yet"
"Sabriel motions to the farm yard gang that she believes Tarina is sitting at the end of the table, slowly Elphti makes his way to a vacant couch against the south wall and Nashwa stands nervously at the top of the stairs. Tarina and the other patrons playing baldurs bones make passing glances at each of you but make no comment."
"If you are going to try and kill me you're doing a rather poor job of it, and here I thought ole Dead-eye would come to try and off me himself. Certainly the weirdest group he could of sent, there's got to be a joke about an elephant and a lion walking into a bar"
"She continues to play the game while saying this, never looking at you standing next to her."
I'm not here to kill you, I work for Zodge, he sent me. Can we talk alone?
"I never did like him, but I do owe him, alright we can talk but your friends stay out here"
"Tarina rises from the table and walks over to a door near the stairs, she unlocks the door and opens it letting Sabriel go in first, on the other side of the door is a simple room with just a bed and a nightstand, two windows on the northern wall, the bed looks a mess but the rest of the room is bare."

I carefully move across the room and begin to head up the stairs.
I wave to the Loxodon to hurry up and move to follow after up the stairs.

I look over at my companions and give them a meaningful nods toward Tarina
If there is any seating open along the edge of the wall, I would like to move to sit and give myself a vantage to scout out the room further.
