[OOC just asking ... if I am in a spot that aids perception, that is to say I am seated with a good vantage point, I have no colleagues to monitor and it is a not stressful situation then could not my roll be at advantage?]
During her lunchtime perusal of the passing crowd, Dora sees nothing untoward; though this place is a lot busier than the Scholars Ward and all these people make it very confusing.

Refreshed, I decide to walk around and get the lay of the land. I am looking for some small gift for Eda, inexpensive mind you, as a thank you for her care this morning. Also checking out locksmith stalls. I will be wanting to get an idea of how much a lock will cost me.
I secure my two purses aware that pickpockets thrive in crowded places.
[To get the lay of the land and look for the personal items she is interested in, I would like you to make an Intelligence (Perception) check for Dora. For this you use her Intelligence bonus, which is +1, and add her Proficiency bonus if she has proficiency in Perception, which she does. This would give her a total bonus of +3.]

Having finished her lunch, Dora begins a thorough investigation of the large sprawling market to get a better understanding of its layout. She quickly establishes that the larger, more established stalls lie closer to the permanent shops that surround the large space while it is only the more casual ones that are set up towards the middle. Merchandise of every type ranging from roving food vendors to casual sellers with the goods laid out on blankets spread on the ground litter the inner space where most of the 'browsing' customers wander looking for bargains. This central area is noisy. It is busy. It is chaotic. But people seem to be enjoying the hubbub in the most part, be they buyers or sellers.
With regard to Dora's particular requirements, Dora finds no locks in the middle area, apart from an old, oxidised bronze one that someone is trying to sell without a key, but there are two specialised lock makers that have permanent stores on the edge of the space. However, their locks are priced higher that the amount of coin she has in her personal purse. There are many little gift items that she believes Eda would like, the trouble here is deciding which one to purchase [Suggestions as to type would be appreciated here].
As to her official business, while no one approaches her as a potential mark for a confidence trick, she does see a few individuals whom her instinct as a watchman tells her are likely to be up to no good.

These are separate individuals seen at different times; sorry, I should have been clearer. There are three people that caught Dora's attention:
a sex worker with short hair that has been died blonde that Dora knows normally works in the Scholar's Ward (prostitution is not illegal in Constantine, she is just out of her place);
a man going from stall to stall and talking with the owners; they don't seem particularly pleased to see him; and
a young man with a cane who is pretending to limp.
The young man with the cane is the last of the three Dora sees and really the only one she can follow as the others were seen earlier and have moved on about their business. However, she has noted their appearance for possible future reference.

[OOC: Make a Wisdom (Deception) check at Advantage. This means you roll two d20s and add Dora's Wisdom bonus and her Proficiency bonus to the highest, if she has proficiency in the Deception skill. Dora doesn't, so it is just a +1 bonus to the highest of the dice. You can choose to roll at Advantage in the die rolling dialogue box.
The result will determine how hard it is for the person to detect they are being tailed.]

Tail the suspicious individuals while looking for a scarf for Eda.

Keep a discrete distance behind the young fellow. Never look directly at him. Tie in the tailing with looking for a gift for Eda.
