The waves of nervousness coming of Tulli are nearly palpable and Rhydian turns to her with a friendly smile. "Think of yourself as a plant that's been transplanted to a bigger pot. Will you remain the size the old one limited you to, or will you stretch out your roots and see what you can become?"
"Remember, no-one here knows any of us, so we can be who we choose to be, rather than who we've always been, or who they think we are. Sure, we may have spent much of our lives having people tell us who we are, or who we should be, or that we're being ourselves wrong, but they're not here, so to the Hells with them. Sure, maybe we haven't figured out who we are yet, but this is a grand time to learn. Not much point deciding your favorite food yet when you haven't even looked at the menu or try another restaurant."

Amber thinks about it, then realizes Rhydian is right.
Feeling a bit better, Tulli gave a shrug. “Choices are good. But certainty is good too. I already know what I want in life. I’ve known for years. I think that makes me lucky. So many people are unhappy because they don’t know what they really want.”

Noey glances at the others. "I mean, I know we're all girlfriends here," she smiles sweetly at Rhydian, "But this is getting pretty deep. What I want is a coffee," she says.

“Coffee sounds great to me!” Amber says eagerly. “Come on, let’s go find that tavern.” She leads the others to the spot she thinks the Bow’s End is at.

He looks around for a nearby person whose garb suggests they're not a first year or other new arrival. "Pardon; the cafe appears to be closed and we're in dire need of coffee. Anywhere you can point us to?"

A scruffy owlin nearby glances back at them. He's dressed in the clothes of a Lorehold student, and has an intimidating look about him. "The Bow's End Tavern opens in fifteen minutes," the owlin replies. "I'm heading there now. Who are you five? First years?"

"After orientation we will be," Rhydian says with a smile. "Mind if we follow you to the tavern so we don't get turned around again? Seems odd that in the morning a tavern would be open and a cafe closed; usually it's the other way around."

"The cafe is closed because some of the food shipments were a bit late. It should reopen by tomorrow." The owlin looks at the group for a moment. "I'd recommend you explore the Biblioplex for a while before orientation. Just a tip."

(Should we pause for DM input on this tavern, or should we bull on ahead?)

Amber spreads her hands. “Sorry guys. I thought I knew but apparently I have no clue. Let’s check our map.”
Rhydian barely suppresses a face palm at this.
