As Greko examines the dead creature he hears a loud thus behind him. Startled he gets up ready to fling some twinkle arrows but instead sees a dead, mangled gnoll on the ground. "Hmm, I guess the others are still taking care of things above" Greko looks up and sees a gnoll standing a wee bit too close to the edge. He sighs and moves to within 30 feet of the gnoll and angled where he can pull the gnoll into the pit of spikes "We have much to do...enough dawdling" He says to himself before speaking in druidic and casting thorn whip
Lelith took pleasure in seeing the Gnoll choke on its own blood due to the rapier that had pierced its throat as well as seeing another fall down to its death into the ground floor. Already she felt that she was once again regaining control of herself. She had wanted to stab down into the Gnoll in a non-vital area and make her enemy experience great pain but it seemed like her wounds were far more serious than she initially thought as she wavered for a second and missed, her rapier wedging itself into the wooden floor.
Tuto's knife opened a slice on the back of the Gnoll's leg, just as Greko's thorn whip arched up and raked its arm. The big one, armed with a sword tied to a stick with a leather strap, lashed out at the closest target to attack it most recently; Greko. It scrambles to its feet and swings its improvised weapon at Greko twice. It screeches something to the other Gnoll left, which lunges for Tuto, swinging a club made out of a femur, before stepping to the side and attacking two more times with the club.
Rum looks up after finishing off the Gnoll on the floor in front of him, just in time to see a whip of thorns drag another Gnoll down to the first floor. He peers over the edge of the floor he is on and sees the creature scramble to it’s feet and attack Greko.
“Oh that won’t do”, he mutters and once again drops off the edge of the broken floor. As before, spectral dragon wings appear briefly slowing his descent and he lands gently.
He lopes over to behind the Gnoll, flanking it, and leans around it so he can see Greko.
“Would you like a hand? Or maybe a foot and an elbow? Course you do”, he says to Greko with a grin.
He lifts one leg up and brings his clawed foot down hard on the back of the Gnolls knee bringing it to it's knees, then quickly sweeps his elbow across aiming for it’s temple. Any strike that connects once again flashes with draconic flame.
Movement: 5ft off the edge of the second floor, to then fall to the first floor (Falling Damage can’t be more than 20 so no need to roll) Reaction: Slow Fall to negate 20 damage, meaning he lands on his feet. Movement: Enough to stand behind the Gnoll attacking Greko, flanking it. Action: Draconic Strike (with Eldritch Maul and advantage for flanking) on Gnoll 4: (14,2)+8=22 Damage: 7 [Fire] + 3 [force] = 10 Bonus Action: Draconic Strike (with Eldritch Maul and advantage for flanking) on Gnoll 4: (2,12)+8=20 Damage: 10 [Fire] + 2 [force] = 12 Defense: Until he takes damage any attacks are at disadvantage against him Reaction: Used
Ro pulls his dagger out of the lifeless gnoll, huffing for air as he looks down at his fresh kill. He never managed to defeat an enemy with only his dagger before, albeit, the gnoll was already wounded grievously by his companions. The elf-dwarf savors the personal win, thinking to himself, 'Wouldn't Shavaris be proud to know I hit something with a blade for once.' He then turns to face the last remaining gnoll and uses his free hand to make a slashing motion towards it. In response, a skeletal hand appears by the gnoll and scrapes a chunk out of the creature's cheek.
Action: cast Chill Touch on gnoll -> Hit: 20 Damage: 2 Necrotic (gnoll can't regain HP until start of Ro's next turn)
The Gnolls are unable to stand up to the onslaught unleashed by Twilight Embers. The last two fall, one to Rum's flying limbs, and the other to Ro's Chill Touch and Oten's javelin.
As the last gnoll falls to Oten's javelin, Ro relaxes his posture. "Considering the situation, I think that went as smoothly as it possibly could have," the elf-dwarf turns to Lelith, "What happened, are you alright?"
Rum stands for a moment after the Gnoll between himself and Greko falls, craning his neck around to make sure the others above were ok.
”You fought well, friend Greko”, he says to the old Lizardfolk with a smile.
He starts to head towards the ramp. “We should make our way up, the top floor has a door that looks like it would be of interest. Can I help you up the ramp?”.
As the last gnoll falls to Oten's javelin, Ro relaxes his posture. "Considering the situation, I think that went as smoothly as it possibly could have," the elf-dwarf turns to Lelith, "What happened, are you alright?"
Lelith regained her composure, which he had lost all too many times during this adventure, an unacceptable record that stained her memory. Her hair returned to its silvery-white and her eyes regained their cold lustre, she scowled and her usual unapproachable aloofness was restored. As Ro neared, she braced for the admonishment and insults. For the mistake, she was supposed to be experienced enough not to make. However, all she received was an inquiry as to her wellbeing. A rational thought, it could compromise their mission if she was incapacitated. This did not mean that the admonishment will to come later, so she better make her stance clear.
"I am fine. My clothes will repair themselves, my dignity and pride will recover." Lelith replied as honestly as she could, she paused for a moment before continuing. "Do not expect any apology from me. And... thank you. For helping me. No one has ever... thank you."
A mechanical hand extends over the edge of the second-story floor in a thumbs up. "I believe physical injuries have been kept to a minimum up here. Did I hear you managed to take down that spider-like creature?"
Ro's turns to Greko who has just called out to him and the others on the second floor, "We're all good up here. Lelith is safe too."
His gaze still peering down to the first floor, Ro begins to address Lelith. He speaks in a relieved and relaxed tone, "Well, it is better for a party to stick together when going through unknown territory. I assume you already know that, and if you didn't I'm sure the dead spider thing below us has taught you that lesson thoroughly. That said, I was too caught up with this book we found that I didn't notice your leave; hence I didn't call for your return, so some fault lies with me too." Ro finally faces Lelith and gives her a reassuring smile, "No apologies are needed. Ultimately, I'm just glad you're safe."
"You're lucky Ro is so forgiving, else I'd be giving you an earful until your-" Kazek begins to yell at Lelith before being interrupted by a light punch from Ro.
"Nevermind him, he's worried about you in his own way. That aside, did you find anything of interest while scouting the second and third floors?"
Rum arrives on the second floor just in time to hear Ro and Kazek speaking to Lelith. "I'll be up on the next floor", he says to them as he walks passed.
He has his own opinions on what happened but decides for now to keep them to himself. No point getting embroiled in discussions whilst there is still work to do.
He has a quick look for anything of interest on the second floor as he walks around to the ladder up.

Greko shouts up "Good glad everyone is alright. I received an Auryn communication, I will tell you all in a moment" Greko wanders back to the spider lobster and begins examining it
"Hm", says Rum as he spots a few bits and pieces with his cursory look around. He walks over to the table in the centre of the room and takes a look at what is on it.
"Looks like we have a dead body here, and it's not one we had anything to do with. There is some plate armour over there too, if anyone is interested in that sort of thing", he says to others as he inspects the item on the table.
"I found an altar dedicated to a fiend, Yeenoghu. I desecrated it, of course." Lelith replied nonchalantly as she tuned out all complaints or reprimands that came her way. "Let's keep going."
As Rum leans across the table to pick up one of the items on it, something blows black smoke into the air, covering the immediate area before igniting. He manages to spot the trap just in time to leap back, minimising the damage to himself to some singeing. The table and the things on it are unfortunately destroyed and the dead body is hurled flaming over the ledge to the floor below.
He looks sheepishly at the others as he pats down his fur, checking he wasn't on fire.
