Following the goblins’ trail, you come across a large cave in a hillside five miles from the scene of the ambush. A shallow stream flows out of the cave mouth, which is screened by dense briar thickets. A narrow dry path leads into the cave on the right-hand side of the stream.
As the party approach the thicket near the entrance Vishka slips on a loose rock and her shield clatters to the ground. Goblin voices sounds briefly from behind the thicket and then arrows begin to fly toward the party.

On the east side of the stream flowing from the cave mouth, a small area in the briar thickets has been hollowed out to form a lookout post or blind. Wooden planks flatten out the briars and provide room for guards to lie hidden and watch the area—including a pair of goblins lurking there right now!
The cleric hands over a block of incense and Meladra kneels down to cast [spell] find familiar [/spell[ as a ritual. The incense smoke gathers in a small cloud before her and several minutes later it dissipates to reveal the from of a small black bat.
"Hello there little one." Melandra smiles down at the creature as it squeaks back in greeting.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"I can use it to scout the caves for us."Melandra explains.
She remains kneeling, "I will not be able to see or hear you while I attempt this."
"See what you can see little one." She releases the bat and it flitters off into the tunnel. Her eyes become milky white as she sees what the bat sees through its echolocation.
"It's loud in here, lots of running water... makes things difficult."
Just inside the cave mouth, a few uneven stone steps lead up to a small, dank chamber on the east side of the passage. The cave narrows to a steep fissure at the far end, and is filled with the stench of animals. Savage snarls and the sounds of rattling chains greet her ears where three wolves are chained up just inside the opening. Each wolf’s chain leads to an iron rod driven into the base of a stalagmite.

The Bat flitters out of the chamber and follows the water further in. The stream passage continues up beyond another set of uneven steps ahead, bending eastward as it goes. A waterfall sounds out from a larger cavern somewhere ahead. A rickety bridge spans the passage, connecting two tunnels that are 20 feet above the stream.

There is a goblin hiding on the bridge. It seems they are expected after all.

Out of range of Melandra's command the bat decides to settle down for a rest on the ceiling above the goblin. The creature takes no notice of it.
Melandra then relays everything she has seen to the party.
"Sounds like our best bet is to ignore the wolves and rush that goblin on the bridge before it can raise an alarm."
Kara peers into the cave mouth.
"Blink and I wont be able to see for shit in there. If we sneak past those wolves and then the rest of you charge the bridge, you can hopefully take the little bastard out."
Let's get the wagon off the road and then we follow the trail and that bloody goblin!

Kara halts the party as they reach the treeline on the approach to the cave.
"Keep low and quiet. If that goblin got here ahead of us, we will be expected."

One aimed for Kara Attack: 19 Damage: 4 and the other for Vishka Attack: 9 Damage: 5
The first arrow slams into Kara's arm, but the second flies harmlessly over Vishka's head.

"Damn it!"
Seeing Kara injured Blink draws her blades and runs for the thicket. She leaps forward attempting to scramble through to the goblins.

She drops down in front of one of the goblins and attacks Attack: 22 Damage: 9 and Attack: 23 Damage: 2
The goblin is nimble and manages to avoid the attacks.
"Damn, damn damn!" Blink curses.

Melandra starts to make her way around the thicket and sends a fire bolt toward the goblins as she moves. Attack: 21 Damage: 2
She hears a startled yelp as it hits home!

Griel dashes around the thicket to stand towering over the goblin fighting Blink.

Vishka stands firm in from of the injured Kara and raises her shield. [Dodge]

Kara raises her own shield and levels her crossbow. She fires into the thicket Attack: 12 Damage: 3 (Was 7)
There comes a scream and a muffled crash from the thicket as one of the goblins is killed by her bolt.

The final goblin sees that it is done for a disengages from combat, dashing away toward the trees.

Blink drops her swords and gives chase, throwing two daggers as she closes in. Attack: 22 Damage: 4 and Attack: 16 Damage: 3
"Oh no you don't." she grins as the goblin falls to the ground then begins to collect her blades.
The party gathers before the mouth of the cave.
