“Yes, let’s nots wait a moment longer - the festival awaits!” He smiles and gathers himself and his possessions with merriment, heading out into the streets with the others.
Gerty follows the rest out of the inn and heads over to her cart of potatoes. (I'm not sure the best way to do this - thinking of selling approximately 2,000 lbs here? Does she take the whole cart or somehow move them to another? Sorry, I am just unsure...)

(She would likely fill some crates with the ones she’s planned on selling in the cart. The rest of her stock would be waiting at her farm in crates or baskets to be picked up later)
Gerty is able to transport her crates of potatoes to the AH and check them in for the sale. The lead auctioneer guides her to the appropriate section where there are stacks and stacks of boxes and baskets filled with corn, wheat, potatoes, carrots and other roots vegetables and grains. It looks like everyone had a really good harvest this season.
You all make your way into the main Auction floor and are handed a numbered paddle in case you decide to bid on something. The stands are packed with eager people. You see some prominent leaders from the town of Triboar, Phandelver, and some city slicker looking folks either from Waterdeep or Neverwinter. Hard to tell from their clothing.
Sasha had been on auctions before, with her father, but she had always snuck away to find some animals to hang out with. Now she realizes she should try to pay attention, a seemingly insurmountable task, but she would do her best. She finds a seat by Aaron leaning in a bit. "Okay, if I'm going to do this in Mirabar I guess it's about time I learn a thing or two about what's going on in here, so I would be grateful if you could tell me what's happening. I remember from earlier years a man standing and speaking really really fast and people waving their paddles like madmen and suddenly it all stopped and I had no idea who bought what at which price." She whispers with a tired sigh.
Gerty turns in her carts of potatoes and takes her number from the auctioneer. Glad to be with a group of friends for this, she heads over with the rest to find a seat in the stands. She isn't used to so many people and she is feeling incredibly awkward. "Luke, do you know what you're doing? Are you selling any of your horses here?"
Luke tags along with Gerty. These auctions aren't his thing but he's offering his support for the others selling their goods. "No, I am going to sell them all in Mirabar. We need them to pull the wagons and stuff. I see you are unloading some potatos. Hopefully, it catches a decent price here."
"Hey thanks. Guess I'm just dipping my toes in here, I'm going to try and sell most of the crops in Mirabar, but thought it would be good to check out the process in a smaller venue."Gerty looks around, "Though this is turning out to be a bigger deal here than I had anticipated!"
You watch as the Auctioneer goes through the different categories. All the feathered critters have their own arena. The main floor begins with sheep and goats. As the auctioneer brings in the lots for sale there are some bunches of animals, mostly for slaughter, then there are breeding pairs and already pregnant animals due to birth before the fall is up and then individual animals. Usually prize rams, boars, or particularly fantastic does. One outstanding looking ram fetches over 10,000 gold from a buyer from overseas. It was a magnificent beast with four horns and multicolored wool.
next up are the cattle.
(William roll the quality number x d10 ie 7d10 for cow1, 5d10 for cow2 etc. for the cheese roll 1d6+1 then multiply by 70)
Luke whistles “Man who’d of thought you’d get all that cheese for your cows” He pauses a moment for the joke to sink in “Uh did you see what I did there?! Cheese!”
( you best wait til morning. That way everyone is rested and we can start as if everyone is loaded and rdy to depart rather than RP the stuff in between)
"Whew! William, that's some good money for those cows!" Gerty looks on impressed by the whole situation.
Once the auction is over, she asks, "When do we head to Mirabar? Today or are we waiting till the morning?"
Yeah, normally we get about 10-15gp for a cow, this is way better! Can't wait to sell those bulls in Mirabar! William thinks for a minute Better wait til morning. There should be some kind of party tonight, right?

For a fool like that, you would maybe try a city dweller

Gerty you can roll 1d4 and multiply that number by 2000cp. Reroll if you get a 1
4 - in case it manipulates, that was a glorious 2
4000 copper pieces, hope Mirabar treats her better!
Yeah, should able to get 1d8 or better there. Lots of hungry dwarves working the mines there
