"Works for me! I'll honestly be glad to get away from that pond. Sasha, doesn't the look of that rod seem a bit creepy to you?" Gerty helps the others get ready to head off as well.
It takes a while for Sasha to answer, seeming awkward about what to say. "Yeah, you're right Gerty, not what I expected I can tell you but will be careful with it, I promise." She turns her head to the dwarf and says with a apologetic smile. "I've already asked Aaron to keep an eye on me but that goes for all of you I guess."
You gather yourselves and your livestock and head back out onto the road. This part of the road has quite a few twists, turns and the trees become much more dense, you can barely see through the first couple rows of the mostly pine and spruce trees. The undergrowth is thick here, with game trails breaking through here and there.
Luke can sense a lot of animal movement at various distances and directions. There are so many, the types of beasts blur together and he can’t be sure what is what. You travel for 2 hours and the dense trees combined with cloud cover makes it increasingly darker.
"Ugh... Its all gloomy out now, The weather is never kind when you need it to be." Loran says as he takes in the surrounding forest, sticking close to his sheep.

"Sasha! I.."As she storms off, Aaron sits up and watches her leave, stopping mid sentence realizing his words wouldn't land. He looks down at the bone rod, silently staring at it before picking it up and then standing up, "I should be the one to fix this, the rest of you stay here." He heads off briskly in the direction Sasha left in.
As you hold the rod your hand begins to tingle a bit.
On the way back to the camp, Aaron would have looked at his hand to see if there is a source to the tingling, and scratched the itch on his back.
As you move ever onward deep into the forest, up ahead you see where the road splits off into three directions. One heads North-east, one heads north-west and the other heads due East. You can see the remnants of a sign post, broken in the middle and as you get closer you can see the signs scattered on the ground.

"Suspicious." Is all Sasha says at first, checking the remnants of a sign post, trying to figure out what it said and which way it would point. Investigation: 19 She then looks around and tries to determine which road would most likely lead on to Mirabar. Survival: 18 She also tries to keep a look out for any threats emerging from the forest. Perception: 4
Luke over to Sasha on top of the horse and sees the wreckage "This can't be good eh? Maybe this is what the birdman was fleeing from with a message?" Luke looks around from atop of Brownie for any threats but also for any horses or dogs through the use of his hat.

On the ground scattered about are the signs that used to be on the pole. One for Mirabar, another says Silverymoon. There is a sign for Neverwinter as well as a smaller on that says Morgur’s Mound. Without having a clear view of the sky it has become difficult to tell exactly the compass orientation. Looking at the road itself, it appears to have been worked over recently. There are only a few, really old and deep ruts left to indicate how much traffic the different roads receive. All recent tracks seem to have been wiped away.

To the right of the road, Luke can sense some horses that feel like they are very far away. From the direction you came from there are several smaller bands of canine spread out far and wide.
Luke would recognize the name Silverymoon as one of the greatest cities in Faerun, and home to its biggest library
Gerty looks at the mess in front of them with a growing despair. "What? What are we going to do now and who would do such a thing?" She peers down the the roads seeing if there is anything discernable between them.

"Mirabar is supposed to be north I think so perhaps just take the road leading straight ahead?"Sasha suggests, pondering if she have heard of this Morgur before.
Knowledge check: 3
She also looks for any bird or other animal in the vicinity to have a chat with.
None of you have heard of Morgur’s mound before. You feel like the straight road is still going North. As Sasha is looking around, she can swear some of the trees moved a bit to the right. But, when she takes a longer and harder look they seem like regular trees sitting in their regular spots.
"There are horses that way which I don't think is the way to Mirabar. Silverymoon is that way" Luke points to the right (NE) before pointing north "but I think we need to go this way instead. I fear the worst"
Loran ponders the situation and taps his foot impatiently, trying hard to think. "Well, maybe we could somehow repair the post?" Loran says, "Where'd it go anyhow?" He says checking out the remnants of the post a little closer, trying to tell what could've happened to it.
He'll have a look around the general area nearby while the others think, ya never know...

Aaron scratches that itchy spot on his back that just won't quit, "Damn vandals - never understood why people do stuff like this."
