Savage Harvest- adventure thread

Rikaria can hardly contain her excitement. She turns to Sasha and says, “ I went home to see my mother and tell her about the ghost vision and the magic. She took me to see Mistress Harpell…Can you believe it? My mother knows the lady of the house of Harpell! She has agreed that I should stay and train my magic with her family, that the type of magic I have manifested could be quite dangerous to play around with on my own.”

Outside William is just as excited as his friends.

Let's go to the Gilded Horseshoe! I want to try on my new Studded Leather! Oh and we got to hand out those Healing Potions!

"That's fantastic news Rik." Sasha beams, getting up to give Rikaria a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "But...you won't come with us then." She says with a sad face. "We will miss you Rik, so much. I mean who will take care of Will now that you're gone." She says with a smile and a wink.

Rik? Will? Pies?! Birds IN Pies?! Loran feels a little out of the loop but he stays quiet as listens. Happy for Rikaria and her new magic apprenticeship. And secretly even happier the drinking bet seems to be at an early end.

"Why bird flavored?..." Loran silently ponders to himself.

Luke agrees and happily skips along with Will and Gert back to the Gilded Horseshoe 

Gerty shakes her head at the boys as they actually try to haggle further with the man that has been so generous.  She shakes his hand again and thanks him profusely, "We'll be back to try this stuff out, thanks again for all your help!"

And she joins the boys skipping to the Gilded Horseshoe encumbered with all their new stuff.  As they burst through the doors of the establisment, Gerty immediately spots Rikaria and Sasha chatting it up with two boys.  She heads over and dumps whatever she was carrying on the table nearby.  And exuberantly, "We went shopping!!"

"I can see that Gerty." Sasha says and giggles at the pile at the nearby table. "Oh, Rik has some news." She adds quickly with an expression of mixed feelings, looking between Gerty and Rikaria.

Yeah, we even have healing potions! So I won't have save your asses all the time!

As the others come in, Aaron introduces himself, "Nice to meet yall in person - I'm Aaron. Sasha has said many good things. Thanks for rescuing that boy and dealing with the goblins and Biderboo - Here, let me make some space for you all." He goes about taking chairs from other tables to make sure there is enough seats for everyone. 

William takes a seat.

Thanks Aaron! I'm William, I'm... err... what have they told you?

Aaron smiles, then says "Well, I'm sure you know Sasha has a way with words. She had basically enthralled the entire tavern here with a heroic story of your deeds - all the way from finding Mr.Cartright to facing off with the Biderrboo. Quite impressive - she even used her magic to really paint the picture for us! I'd say you'll likely have a hard time keeping to yourselves tomorrow at the festival with the word making its way around the village like wildfire."

He gives Will a reassuring pat on the shoulder, then turns to Sasha with a smirk, "And she's been doing a damn good job trying to convince me to come along with yall. Gotta say, I'm certainly considering it now. Is all this gear what you've gotten for your bravery?" 

Sasha smiles warmly at Aaron, being the gentleman and getting chairs for her friends. She blushes slightly at Aaron's flattering words about her performance and trying to bring him along but then she smiles at him again. "Yes, where did you get money for all this stuff, did you get a reward or something?" She turns and says to her friends.

Well... remember the gold you didn't want? I also found this little shiny stone that turned out to be worth 450 gp!

Aaron rubs his jaw , realizing it's starting to hurt due to being in constant state of awe and disbelief, " four hundred and fifty gold pieces?! Goodness... that's a fortune.." 

Gerty stares at Rikaria, after hearing Sasha say that Rik has news and then apparently this boy, Aaron was it?, says she will be missed greatly?!!!  She looks at her sternly almost with a hard look at first, but before she speaks, she softens, "Rikaria, what is it?  What's going on?  You look excited about it."

Luke looks on at Gerty waiting but also hoping for ham

Rikaria will recount what she Told Sasha earlier, how her Mother upon hearing about the ghost man and her powers took her to See the Lady Harpell at the ivy Mansion. Apparently Rikarias mother is acquainted. Mrs Harpell said the type of magic is very dangerous to learn on her own and agreed to take Rikaria on for training with the other wizard apprentices. So she won’t be able to go to Mirabar.

The serving girl returns with Jacobs food and seeing the newcomers asks if you all want the Lamb shank meal?

Sasha looks between Rikaria and Gerty, subconsciously reaching out for Aarons hand as she waits for Gerty's reaction.
