Erich looks around. "Have the bombers on higher ground. The canon should have some range to them. They can be up there on the cliff if the cave entrances are still within range. Will they be able to have visual on all 4 entrances?"

Aelar takes a bit longer than he thought to carve out the appropriate tool to turn the lock with because as Hyre discovered, the dwarven smiths who made the lock used some glyphs that oddly reference musical tones. It seems that there are pressure plates inside the lock that will respond to sound before the lock will move. Fortunatley, Lazlo's instrument is more than loud enough to vibrate the tool once it's made. This takes some time, so Kallista has ample opportunity to scout about the turret level and peek into the slots. She can see that the outpost is utterly untouched, and while they're too narrow to pass through, she can reach an arm in. In one of the windows, she can see that the wind has blown a few personal effects close to one of the slots; it's a log book that's open, and there's a crude drawing of some kind of humanoid. It's close enough for her to grab it.
Meanwhile...
The sheriff looks up the cliff, and seems a little uncertain. "Long way to climb up for a dwarf." he says. "But I'll give it a go." That said however, firing the cannon doesn't take any special training. Anyone could shoot it once it's in position.
Aelar grunts with some effort as he and Hyre manage to get the 'key' to turn. Turning to Lazlo, he nods his thanks with a grin. He's about to push the door open when he notices Kallista on her way down.

Aelar Carving 13
Tandor the White, Human Life Cleric
Makes little difference number-wise, but the fact that Arcana is an option is peculiar and intriguing, so... 16.

Erich just nods.
Kallista reaches in for the book and flips through it before bringing it down to show the others.
