(Sparhawks luck holds out it seems. I have rolled initiative for everyone in encounter builder, but will only kick in when the person makes it to the fight zone)
Spark manages to dodge the sneak attack from the scimitar and thus foils the the shot from the crossbow at the same time. The man at the tables scowls at the failed attack, and then shovels an egg into his mouth. Sparhawk notices the guy with the scimitar looks a bit like the spy from the alleyway.
Now at a loss, Vars walks back to the room where Sorsha and Bjorn are. There he says in a whisper, "I don't think we are alone in here. I heard shushing earlier." He crosses his arms, "I tried to let you know, but I didn't want to alert our hidden friends that I heard them. I've searched the floor and the walls in the next room, but I can't figure out how they would have gotten under the floor. Did either of you hear anything?"
[My map sense is a little foggy, so what I'm about to say may or may not make sense.] Bjorn frowns and mutters, "probably someone got into the basement through the secret tunnel. Maybe they saw us open it earlier. We could try to sneak behind them, cut off the escape, but getting through that tunnel will be slow."
Seeing the figures attack Sparhawk, Eberk shouts to the group, “Kitchen, Now!”
Eberk then rushes to Bad Guy 3 and swings with his warhammer.
Attack: 21 Damage: 3
You can’t get passed Sparhawk, he is blocking the door way. If you swing around him, the number 2 would be possible, but he would have 3/4 cover. To hit #3 you would need to do a ranged attack
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sparhawk notices Eberks javelin hit on the crossbow guy as the scimitar bites into a space between his armor, drawing blood. Another crossbow bolt embeds into the wall near his head.
the man at the table takes another bite from the plate.
2 more guys enter into the room from the basement entry and move up to engage Sparhawk
#4 will move right in front of Sparhawk. This one is a burly dwarf with a long single braided beard an bald on top. This guy has a hammer in one hand and nasty looking knife in the other.
#5 is a dirty looking human fella with messed up hair and torn clothes. He will move up in front of table near its southern corner. He has some kind of strange looking trinket in his hands that he keeps twirling in his hands and he mutters some gibberish sounding guttural words as he raises one hand towards Sparhawk and Eberk.
Upon hearing Eberk's call, Vars leaps into action, moving through the rooms and back to the kitchen. As he heads out he says, "I was hoping whoever was under there were servants. Sounds like I was wrong."
If he can get past Eberk to see into the middle of the kitchen, he'll cast Sleep to catch 1, 3, 4, and 5 in the 20ft area. Affected HP: 19
If not, he'll cast Disguise Self to take on the appearance of Abernathy again, and head in that direction.
Vars is behind Eberk. And Frangipani came down the stairs and is coming out the door to the laundry/ art studio. So you would be able to just get behind Vars.
Sounds like I wouldn't be able to see a good spot to cast at, then. That's alright, I'll just get set up for next turn by putting on the disguise and moving in. I'll leave space for Sparhawk to fall back behind the other two, in case he wants to. Getting positioned properly during initiative can be awkward.

Bad guy #2 Will swing again for Sparhawk with his scimitar
Attack: 12 Damage: 7
Crossbow bad guy will move across the room behind the guy at the table and fire at Sparhawk again, since Eberk is not an easy shot.

Frangipani is about to take another bite when she hears Eberk and begins scrambling towards the source of the voice.
