(I sent the map to our DM so that he can upload it here since I am unable to do so.)
Vars nods, "It depends on what approach we want to take. If we want to be safe, we could take the backroads and go down to Dragon Beach instead of through town. There aren't as many houses, so we'd just need to worry about the people on the docks. Though, there is the possibility that we could be attacked from the wall. On the other hand, the beach provides a nice open space, so it should be difficult for potential enemies to sneak up on us." (red route on the map)
He pauses, "Another option would be to head along the inside of that wall from here, and then take Rat Alley 'till we get to the main road that leads us to Illusk ruins. Now, I know Rat Alley isn't the best kind of place, but we may be able to avoid the bigger fish by dealing with the petty thieves we'd find there. That route would also take us past Illusk ruins, but if we keep our distance I don't think that will be a problem." (green route)
His gaze drifts to the direction Bjorn went, "Or we could avoid Rat Alley and take the main road past Captains' Court. There's another wall to worry about there, but I think it would be fine. Perhaps if we take a main road we will look less conspicuous." (blue route)
Frangipani had spent most of the conversation/argument rolling her eyes. She liked them but getting them to all swim with the school was like watching octopus mate...colourful and confusing.
She turned to Sorsha, " Sometimes I think Anglerfish have the right idea."

[Important edit: I don't know what happened to my dice just now. It's saying I got 18 and that it may have been manipulated. Originally, I got 7. Which I'm happy to keep.]
From an unseen position, he sets up a gambit: Using Minor Illusion, he stages a noisy argument against a fictitious would-be client. The stranger's illusory voice indicates that he intends to pay Angelique a visit, and Bjorn calls him out on the knives and rope that he is attempting to hide. The stranger gets flustered, and Bjorn sends him packing, saying he'd better never see him around here again.
[Deception, I assume:] 18
Then Bjorn approaches, humbly making no reference to his heroic action.
We will go with your 7. Edits to a post with rolls is problematic. When you reset the page, it rerolls
Angelique laughs out loud at your Tom foolery and says, “ long time since you have paid me a visit Mr.Bjorn…you want the usual, or do you have something…more adventurous in mind?” She looks at the friend you brought with you.
Looking over the map, Sparhawk ponders. "Hum, I'm thinking the red route may cause the most problems for us with all of the factions and sailors there. Perhaps one of the other two unless we can follow the green and continue on the wall all the way to the bridge."
Frangipanis own instincts were inclined towards the red route because water meant safety to her on a primal level, but she nodded when Sparhawk suggested the Green nevertheless.
Sparhawk considers. “Frangi, Sorsha, your both comfortable in the water. Any river options to the bridge and avoid land altogether or too dangerous.? I certainly would sink like a rock if I fell out of a boat” Sparhawk lowered his hand mimicking him sinking to the bottom of the river. He smiled. Wishful thinking. His goddess would probably not let him drown. He had much penance left to do still.

“Yes, I did think about that. Staying on the inside of that wall is really an alternative to the red route.” Vars nods as if he’d already run through all the scenarios in his head. “The only difference is that we will have houses to worry about instead of the docks.” He shrugs, “Either way, I’d prefer to stay on the red option, whether we stay inside the wall or not. It seems the most direct to me, and if we can avoid the ruins, well that’s a plus too. I plotted the green route in case we are worried about being followed. Throw a couple more twists in there and we should be able to shake any trackers before reaching the first bridge if we are careful. I’m not too worried about being followed, so I’d still say the red route.”
Bjorn bows sheepishly. "Ah, I suppose you can see by my antics that I am in need of a favor, and that I have little to offer in return. Luckily the request is a small one, and of no great risk to you. I seek only what knowledge you have gathered in your trade. In particular, I wonder if there are any pirates you know of in the houses Kurth or Baram who harbor a special resentment towards the house Suljack as a whole, or against one Fist Scarsguard in particular. Possibly business rivals, or even those with a personal grudge. Even the most minor squabble may be of note. If it eases your mind, know that I only intend to use this knowledge to avoid possible bloodshed."
He turns to Eberk. "Scarsguard didn't hire a swordsman like our friend the knight for petty errands. We'd make perfect scapegoats if he means to eliminate someone he shouldn't. I'll not hang for another man's ambitions, so here we find ourselves. Better safe than sorry, yes?"
Angelique has smirk and says “ do you mean more resentment than usual? There is always scheming and chicanery going on between the ships and their membership. The Fist is a well feared man and deeply respected by all the Ships. He is more prone to gutting an opponent personally, but you never can tell. I have not heard of anything new broiling among the ships. The Arcane Brotherhood on the other hand is a different matter. A tower full of weasels. There is a rumor that one of the more people friendly of the wizards has not been seen for quite some time. He failed to show for their annual meeting. There is a reward for information on his whereabouts.”
She stands there thinking to herself for a second. Her long red hair flowing in the ocean breeze. She runs her long, painted fingernails across her half exposed chest and says, “ well if your not here for the other. I better get back to work. I don’t want people getting the wrong impression “ she lets out a soft laugh and tells you to be safe.

Eberk fidgets with the holy symbol around his neck. "Thank you for the information. We should be heading back." Eberk looks around uncomfortably and turns to leave.
"You know, you look radiant as ever, Angelique." He whispers to Eberk, "aasimar hate that line. She probably hears it six times a day." He beams an innocent grin in her direction. "Really! And thank you for the help."
"I can't believe that Fist isn't playing us for fools somehow. Hm." He fumes for half of the walk back, seemingly frustrated by his own failure to outwit the man who foiled his coin purse trick.

Frangipani made an exaggerated shoulder roll, " You mob tend to sink....like, a lot......and your shithouse swimmers.....worse comes to worse we can kick folks into the water if they get in the way. Dry skins take ages getting out again."

Eberk notices a few potential “Johns” mulling about nearby, waiting for Angelique to become available. There is a slight bit of fog rolling in from the sea and the smell of salt water and fish hangs heavily in the air. There are few lights showing in the buildings of this neighborhood, most folks are either in bed or in the tavern. The ones that are not, prefer to not have light shone on their activities
[ bounty notices are usually posted in taverns, and at the docks there are usually posts filled with job offers, wanted posters and other such information. Most man-hunting work is direct hire within the Ships and thieves guilds]
"Anglerfish?"Sorsha says to Frangipani with a curious smile. "Are you saying we should try to lure the opposition to us to bite their heads off?"
Sorsha listens to Vars' suggestions and nods appreciatively, giving him a quick slight smile. "I'd prefer the route with the least ambush possibilities, to me that would be the route along the docks, but as long as we try to stay out of the alleys I'm fine."
"We would need to work as a crew and putting us all in a small boat would give some of us a great disadvanatge should we be attacked. As much as I like the water I think we'd better take a land route for this." She turns and says to Sparhawk.
"Let's wait for Bjorn and Eberk and then decide on a route. Any other preparations you need to do, do them now!"She says, taking a seat by the table again, leaning back in her chair while glancing over at the door, waiting for Bjorn and Eberk to return.
Eberk enters the tavern, speaking to Bjorn, “All I’m saying is that you should make sure you aren’t stealing from our employer next time. It’s less likely to get us killed and you might get some money instead of getting embarrassed.” Eberk turns to the group. “Well, it doesn’t sound like there isn’t any funny business with this job.”
"Good to hear, now if you two have an opinion on which route we should take to the Arcane Host Tower, now would be the time to share it with the rest of us."Sorsha says to Eberk and Bjorn.

Back with the remainder of the group, "So Vars, thoughts on best pathways to get there?" Sparhawk asks his resourceful friend.
