Captured by the drow! You wouldn't wish this fate upon anyone, yet here you are-locked in a dark cave, the cold, heavy wight of metal tight around your throat and wrists. You are not alone. There are other prisoners trapped in here with you, in an underground outpost far from the light of the sun.
Your captors include a cruel drow priestess who calls herself Mistress Ilvara of House Mizzrym. Over the past several days, you've met her several times, robed in silken garment and flanked by 2 male drow, one of whom has a mass of scars along one side of his face and neck.
Mistress Ilvara likes to impress her will with scourge in hand and remind you that your life now belongs to her. "Accept you fate, learn to obey, and you may survive." Her words echo in your memory, even as you plot your escape.
Around you in your prison cell there are 10 other prisoners, A handsome derro, A quaggoth clothed in fine garment, A female sheild dwarf scowling, A deep gnome betting on if a rock is gonna drop from his hand, An orc yelling incomprihensible stuff, A drow with small growths from his head, A Kuo-toa sitting and meditating, and 2 deep gnomes with feral features.
Rules
Be nice don't be total monsters to each other
Please don't metagame
What the dm says is final
Its nobody's fault if your character dies. Just make a new one or the party could try and find a way to revive yours
PLEASE NO SEXUAL JOKES
You can make small jokes and have some good humor but this is high fantasy, so if you wanna sing beyonce in the game please refrain
You can cuss but keep it to 1 or 2 cusses per sentence( If you do cuss) And please don't use serious cusses like C**t and F**K

Bleek seems to respond to captivity with an odd mix of obedience and cheerful obliviousness. When he was brought in it was in rags, and the facepaint of a clown. Though silent, his face is expressive and bright-eyed, and he's been actively interacting with each of the captives, inquisitive and upbeat to the point of being mildly annoying.
Since it's been several days, I'm assuming we've had time to do a few things, so if it's alright, I'd like to roll for the following; History to see what I know about House Mizzrym: 6 Insight to see what I can gleam about Ilvara: 3 Performance to ingratiate myself to Ilvara with my antics: 14
Arigar stays quiet surveying his surroundings..its not the first time afterall he has been a slave..many thoughts pass him by full of bitterness..quite ironic thinks having his freedom gone after all that hard work and years he had to earn it..he looks at the other captives and whispers ' there is no point for now to try anything stupid..'

Here's what you have been able, house Mizzrym is in a large decline and many house are plotting to destroy it, you have not learned much at all about ilvara only that she likes to eat gourmet foods. Though your antics have caused her to favor you, often stopping by the cell to just see your performances.

Is there a preference for Initiative rules? Might I suggest Initiative scores over rolls? I've found it saves a lot of time in PBP.
*Ive never used intiative scores before could you explain*
In the 9 days you have been here, you have managed to get and hide some small items, You found a small peice of flint with the stats of a dagger. None of the other prisoners even know about this. The female sheild dwarf suddenly says "Why dont you talk, in the 9 days you have been captured here you haven't made a peep."

Everyone has a set number for Initiative, equal to your DEX+Any modifiers you would usually have for Initiative. Less random, but if some people can only post once or twice a night, it can shave a week off of every combat scene. Alternatively, having the DM roll Initiative can accomplish the same thing. ------ Bleek looks at the dwarven woman and nods slowly, his eyes going wide with revelation. He goes to speak, then holds his throat in shock, as nothing comes out. With an expression of alarm he looks around at the ground, then drops to his knees, feeling along the ground as if searching for something. A moment later he closes his hand around something and jumps back up to his feet, thrusting his hands upward triumphantly. He then opens his hand, index finger and thumb extended, as if to show her what he's found. He points at it with an expression of childlike joy on his lead-white painted face, then points at his throat.
There's nothing in his hand.
His face beaming with an inscrutable pride, he motions to hand the invisible object to her. Whether she reaches out to accept it or not, he motions fumbling it, snatching at the air where it would have fallen, and then recoils abruptly, as if to dodge shards of broken glass at the point of impact with the floor. Cartoonish horror plays across his features, followed by a profuse sobbing as he throws himself to the floor.

So, you know, hopefully that clears things up...
The female dwarf is completely befuddled with only a mild understanding of what bleek just did. Then the rock gnome near by blurts out "I bet you 5 copper peices that she will never understand that." Though the drow gaurding the prison cell hears this, he says "Any money is contraband you are to be punished." The gaurd takes the deep gnome and starts whipping him.

Bleek reacts as if he's being whipped, making an effort to look more pathetic and comical. I'd ignored by the guard, he'll turn up the ham-dial until the guard reacts.

That did not code correctly...
The gaurd just stops whipping the gnome and he just stares at you as you do the performance. He eventually just leaves the room. The gnome comes up to you in pain with deep whip cuts on his back, he says "Thanks for the, uh, performance it kept me from being punished more." He puts out his hand for a hand shake.

Clarion hugs his knees, his back to the wall. Ignoring everyone around him, he appears to be talking to himself.
"I can't believe this! Enslaved again? I'm so sick of this. Do you think you could help me with this? No? Ok. Um, I'll talk to the guard, see what I can do."
Jumping up suddenly, Clarion approaches the guard, smoothing back his hair to reveal a third eye set into his forehead, which darts around of it's own will.
"Excuse me, but there must be some kind of mistake. I am a drow, just like you! Please, the underdark is my home, I have no place in this cell. I mean you no harm, and I implore you, release me, we are brothers, after all."
