Calwin has done some reading and research into the area. You know a few facts and legends regarding the area. At some point in history just about all manners of bad things have inhabited the woods but it gets it's name from the high concentration of wolves that roam the area. Some legends claim werewolves inhabit the forest but no one in a few hundred years has ever seen one. Common bandits and the like often make base at the edge of the forest but tend not to travel to deeply.
Based on his backstory, Sallah would know a bit of the area as well. There are numerous ruins deep in the forest some as old as a 1,000 years. I will let you decide if he has ever ventured into the woods on one of his excursions. It would be a dangerous thing to do alone.

Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
Let's say you all move out of the meeting room and find a table in the Hearth. The same bouncy, peppy serving girl who kicked your chair earlier returns, "Meetin' all over? I'll bring the ale around. Sure are alot of you..." A few moments later she brings a number of pitchers and mugs of a hoppy light ale. It's a bit sour but perfect for a summer evening. Over the music and crowd you talk to your new companions.
Shorty seems absolutely shocked and enormously grateful that he is the first one Calwin approaches, "My good sir it's wonderful to make your acquaintance. Everyone calls me Shorty." The halfling has bright red hair with awkwardly groomed, long red mutton chops. "Now I don't usually take requests but is there something special you like for breakfast? The cart is incredibly well supplied with all sorts of rations and cookware. Gehir has managed to create a near mobile kitchen! It remarkable, the man has really thought of everything!"Cathbad, the druid, drinks directly from the new pitcher that was brought around. He belches loudly, "Everything but ale! Wine, he brought nothing but wine on the damn wagon..." He reaches for his personal pitcher and continues drinking
"Ya hear that boy? This one here has the mind of a strategist on him. Silvered swords, rations, scrolls and potions."Captain Uri lets out a hearty dwarven chuckle "I think he might live through this! You listen to him if I am not around." Vitya curtly nods "Yes sir, Dad sir." Uri continues, "I don't think the library here has the resources for silvering nor does it sell much in the way of potions or spell scrolls. We have a few potions in the wagon but you'll have to talk to Gehir about that. Sorry mate."
Cathbad's eyes go absolutely wide at Sallah's jug. "My god... that is a gift from the Heavens... you are bring that with us right? Please tell me it can do Ale... You can bunk with me if you want..." Despite the amount he has been drinking he is remarkably sober it can't last much longer...
Maxx, the tiefling, sits next to Lu "Sorry dear. Sounds that absolutely horrible. I can't say I have ever heard of such a thing and I hear a lot of rumors. If anyone knows anything it would be Gehir. I suggest you find time to discuss it with him. If all this pans out perhaps I can talk to Sarai about helping you next?"
Sarai and Gunnar sit at a table nearby on their own as talk quietly among themselves.
