The smile returns to Ecobann's face as he looks up from the note and acknowledges Copra's kind words.
"Thank you, son! That's mighty kind of you to say."
"Yes, this does indeed look legitimate. The wagon is just about loaded, hang on."
He turns his head and shouts to the back room "Dylan! Logan! Drop whatever you are doing and finish the Gundren order!"
Turning back to the party: "My boys will have that finished off in no time. Gundren also ordered extra rations and water barrels for your journey." (OOC: Everyone add 10 rations to your inventory.)
A few moments pass and then you are directed out back where you see a large mule hooked up to a wagon that is loaded with all sorts of mining equipment. There are picks, shovels, timbers, kegs of nails, barrels of water and crates full of other supplies.
"Now, you need one driver to sit on the cart, and Becky, the mule, will go when you tell her to and stop when you tell her to. If there are no other questions, I wish you a swift journey!"
Ecobann heads back inside.
It's early afternoon, you can still make a half day's journey if you want. Is the party ready to head out?
If so, give me a marching order, decide on your route, and everyone give me a Perception check as you drive out of the city.
The party heads out of town with Acidic steering the cart. Suddenly, Acidic catches a flash of light out of the corner of his eye. Pulling the cart to a quick stop, he hops off the cart and rushes to the ditch where he finds an entire platinum piece, half buried in the dirt.
Kestrell also finds a platinum, and a little later, Gloria and Copra each find a silver piece.
The rest of the afternoon passes uneventfully, and you make camp with no issues.
The next day dawn clear and a little chilly, good weather for making time, which you do manage to get to the intersection of The High Road and the Triboar Trail before making camp.
Everyone mark off two rations.
The third daay has you start down the Triboar Trail, towards Phandalin.
You've been on the Triboar Trail for about half a day. As you come around a bend, you spot two dead horses sprawled about fifty feet ahead of you, blocking the path. Each has several black-feathered arrows sticking out of it. The woods press close to the trail here, with a steep embankment and dense thickets on either side.

When Copra and Acidic get near the horses, they realize that the horses look familiar, they are Gundren and Sildar's horses! Bending close to get a good look at the horses, everyone is surprised when arrows start flying in from the bushes on the side of the road. It's a surprise ambush! Four goblins pop out of the bushes and start launching arrows!
The first flies towards Copra: 24, and the second towards Acidic: 17

Both attacks land! Copra takes 4 piercing and Acidic takes 3 piercing damage.
The two goblins duck back into the bushes above the road and try to hide: 25.
Two more goblins jump out of the bushes on the other side of the road and run towards Copra and Acidic, scimitars raised. The first attack at Acidic: 18, the second at Copra: 11
This time the attacks miss! The goblins Disengage and back away towards the bushes.
The party is up for Round 2 (Round 1 was a surprise round, so you didn't get to go). Roll initiative and take your turn if higher than the goblins initiative of: 9.
Kestrell's initiative: 7
Kestrell recovers from the sudden shock of goblin shrieks and arrows and shifts his attention away from Gloria. He'll rush forward, using his bonus action to inspire Copra: "You don't want no beef boy! Better follow me towards...the goblins!" (You have 1d6 that you can add to an attack, ability check or saving throw).
Then he'll raise his horn to his lips, blow a quick toot, and a shimmering green light surrounds the goblins to the south. Goblin 1 Dex save: 18, Goblin 2 Dex Save: 8
The first goblin seems to dance away from the lights, but the shimmering green light gathers around the second goblin and he is outlined by the light (Attacks on this one have advantage()).
The first goblin manages to jump out of the way of the stream of burning acid, taking only 4 damage, but the second one does not, taking the full brunt of it and it collapses to the ground.
The Goblin that dodged, wipes the acid out of his eyes and swings at Acidic: 21, damage if needed: 6 slashing.
The Two goblins on the north side of the road pop back out of the bushes and fire arrows, the first at Copra: 22 and the second at Gloria: 5, damage if needed: 4, 4, and then they jump back into the bushes, trying to hide: 18
