"Ah! A Tletepec palate? You need go no further than Spicy Brothers ourselves! We have a shipment of fresh lava peppers, as well as dried, and we have a source who's been working on breeding even hotter peppers! I wager there's a few that we are the sole distributors of that can stand toe to toe with anything you've found growing in Tletepec! We also serve a few snacks that make use of our spices and peppers, just so that folks can get a taste in a dish. I believe today we've got "Cucumber Fire Smoothies", for those who like the hot and the cold, and "Honey-Glazed Hot Chips", which might be more to your liking, if you've got the sweet tooth Tletepecians are known for!"
He starts off the tour by heading back to their stall, where his brother Vi is handling inventory while an assistant runs the front of house. Vi and Kasem definitely look like brothers, Vi's red outfit setting him apart from Kasem's green.
He waves to his brother (receiving an eyeroll) and snags parcel of the hot chips to pass around for you to try as he continues the tour. "If you want to peruse our offerings, you can stop by later, let none say I offered you a tour just to bring you to my own stall!"
Continuing on, he shares a bit about various shops you pass, greeting some of the vendors, pointing out as you move Va's Lucky Amulets, which Liber had expressed interest in. A thin orc woman perched atop a stool periodically raises a hand in the air and sends up a shower of colorful sparks into the night sky. They don't seem to be in danger of catching anything on fire, or at least she seems unconcerned with the prospect of them doing so. Strung across cords and laying on tables are various charms, curios, rings and amulets, most which seem to have a 'home-crafted' look to them.
From a bit of a distance, to avoid inserting you back into the Xungoon-Tyenmo feud, he points out Tyenmo Noodles, and describes their offerings as vegetarian bowls of hand pulled noodles, but he's not sure what they might have on special today.
In the southeast corner, he points out Vada's Otherwordly Goods, which sells assorted pastries and desserts. "They're known for their vanilla bun, some sort of signature family recipe they keep secret. Charge 2 gold for it, if you can believe it, but it IS amazing. Highly recommend if that's in your budget!"
In the southwest quadrant, he points out Madam Kulp's Silk, a high end clothier who sells pricey silk garments of various descriptions.
As you're moving along, he points out a street food cart setting up not far from Xungoon Family Seafood. The cart has a painted wooden depiction of a giant squid grabbing people who are attacking it with look at first like weapons, but on closer inspection are vegetables. It reads, "Trusty Leek", and under it, 'by Sid Squid'. Kasem informs you that the Trusty Leek moves throughout the market during the night, and that they do bite-sized seafood street fare. He points out Xungoon Family Seafood from a distance as well, and mentions that their offerings change with the catch.
((The tour takes about an hour, during which time is there anything else you'd want to have asked him about?))

Tandor pays careful attention to everything Kasem says and doesn't say. He felt he'd gotten a pretty good read on the man earlier but vigilance never hurt and he remained convinced that someone else was behind the re-ignited feud between Xungoon and Tyenmo. He focuses sharply when Kasem mentions to mobile cart vendor.
"That's an interesting way to do things, here, the mobile cart. How long's Sid been doing that? Is the food any good?"
"They're a newer market family, only a few years. Sid used to be an adventurer, he and some of his old group settled down here and are making a go of it. Won a competition last year with his shrimpcakes, and received the dubious honor of hosting one of the Market Games for his trouble. They're a vapid tradition to provide cheap thrills, I'd avoid them if I were you. Unless there's anything else I can help with, I ought to get back to the shop. Have a good evening, and I hope you don't get dragged into any more unpleasantries!"

Mixtli thoroughly enjoys the Honey-Glazed Hot Chips, and buys various Tlepetec spicies to restock his own. (How much would that cost?). Other than that he mostly listens and looks while walking along the others.

Tandor nods, "I'll take 2 of the skewers, thanks." After taking the food, he nods his thanks, paying for it, he nods his thanks then moves away a bit to eat. He keeps careful watch and at the first opportunity to beseeches Pelor aid while Sid's distracted but when there's an opening, he does. He returns to Sid, "The shrimp was good. Let me have a couple of the octopus balls." As Sid, hands them over, he asks, "So, how long you been working the market? Must be different, running a cart instead of having a booth. Have you ever thought about getting a permanent location."
ooc: How much does the food cost? Also, what does Tandor think about it, given his cooking proficiency.
ooc2: He's going to watch Sid carefully, looking for any indication of duplicity or anything else which might implicate him in the feud.
((It's 5 cp per skewer, and 6 cp for an order of the octopus balls, they are all quite tasty.))
"I've been here... five, six months now? Wouldn't know about having a booth, I mean, I guess that'd be like cooking at home, but other people are doing all the eating, but I've been working for the Trusty Leek since I got hired here. I rather like the change of scenery throughout the night, not stuck looking at the backside of the same shop all shift, you know! Go where the crowds are, and all that. Good workout too, moving the cart!"
((It is readily apparent to Tanador that this is not in fact Sid Squid, but an employee.))

Waiting until Tandor orders, Trencher then peers into the cart to see what the squid balls look like. Then not even mattering what they look like, he orders the shrimp instead, and pays the 5 copper. "Thank you, sir." Once he gets the food, he starts eating immediately and pretty much wolfs it down way too fast.
There's a 'Howard's Useful Spice Box' for 2 gold. Only mundane storage, but has some nice compartments for different vials and packets of spices.
For a few silver you're able to get an assorted sampling of a few of their offerings. It's good spice, so if you figure that if you were to charge for the food you make, the spice adds a copper in value to each serving, so 20 servings worth for 2 silver?
The octopus balls are cooked in a tray of hemispherical depressions that are filled with batter and the balls rotated as they cook.
