Bretwald seems intrigued by the double doors running his hand over the smooth old wood, " Very fancy. Just the place the Treasures of the Kingdom might be held....or should we venture north?"
"Well if there is dangers lets check it out first. I says we see what is behind the double doors"says Morseth. He cautiously wedges the double doors open. Just enough to see what is beyond. His fear is kicking in, but he is curious enough to look.

Glancing in Morseth can see along a short roughly hewn passageway. At the end of it you see a wall of rock towering upwards. A glimmer of golden light filters down from above allowing Morseth to see.
Cainneach shakes his head at the lack of caution exhibited by Morseth. "I guess it's easier to be brash when one is wielding a magic wand!", he mutters under his breath. Despite his disagreement with the choice and out of likely necessity, he quickly grabs his bow and nocks an arrow in case things go sideways. While preparing thusly, Cainneach relies on his keen senses to alert him to any danger.
“Golden Light? That has to be a good sign, right?” Thatch asks the party with a lopsided grin, then slides through the doors, attempting to hide in the shadows of the hallway while the others look for danger.
With Thatchs guidance they advanced along the short earthern passageway, at the end of it there was a vast cavern and before them an enormous cliff-face that stretched across in front of them.
Some 50m up to the top of the sheer rock the strange golden radiance could be seen illuminating the vicinity.
Drufrowns. She could have sworn there was something on the other side of the door. And now nothing. "This place," she thinks, "the sooner we leave the better. It is playing tricks on me." Holding her bow at the ready, she follows the others.
"I am not much of a climber, but I have a hammer and pitons that should make the journey less dangerous" says Morseth. He then takes out the pitons and hammer. Offering them up to whoever wants to attempt the climb.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Cainneach sizes up the rock face that ominously stares them down. "I'd say we'd need four full lengths of rope and as many pitons as you can muster, Morseth, to have a chance of surviving the climb. From even half that height, a fall would surely spell the end for any one of us. Twiggy, what do you think? Perhaps you have some alpine experience? I'll take a look to see if there appears to be a likely route. In the meantime, perhaps our priest can invoke whatever deity he follows to provide us some divine guidance!"

When Dru concentrates she can still hear the noise just on the edge of hearing....she is certain it is coming from the top of the cliff...perhaps the doors acted to magnify it somehow...

" Whatever diety.......bloody heathens...", Bretwald muttered. " Of course I keep the safety of all in my prayers, Lad."
Cainneach studies it further and determines that the ascent can probably be made with about half the stated equipment.....but not as safely...and anyone wearing armour probably shouldn't chance it.
Drutakes a look at the rock wall, considering. She was no expert at climbing, but with the gear provided it should be simple enough. She is worried about what she might find at the top, though. But seeing that no-one is volunteering and everyone seems determined to discover the source of the glow, she says, "I can do it." Before she climbs, she removes her armor, although she reapplies her belt with her daggers. Dressed in the simple tunic and trousers that she wears under the armor, she attaches the rope, hammer, and pitons to her belt as well and attempts the ascent.

Dru manages to get some 5' off the ground but she is having trouble finding solid attachment points...on the positive side she has...just....managed not to fall off though she won't be making it much further without assistance...
"Well I am not much of a climber, but I will give it a try" says Morseth

All those years of stirring pots and using the pestle and mortar have built strong forearms and they pay off as Morseth manages to climb up next to Dru and get the next few pitons placed.
They are both now about 30' up.....pitons are set and ropes rigged but the security of the rockface is not certain....
"Everything is set, but I think its better to go one at a time as I am not sure of the sturdiness of this rock wall" says Morseth as he crest the top and waits for the others.
