Khessa had seen the belly of the last gnoll tear open under her blows, moreover Buppido had hit him with a last precise crossbow shot in the chest and Eldeth with an arrow in the thigh... this is the reason she is caught so unprepared by the last attack of the gnoll, who with his last dying strength still manages to bite her in the same arm with which she stuck the spear into his body!
Enraged both with herself for getting caught off guard and with the monster for not dying faster and more resignedly, the blonde arcane warrior strikes him repeatedly with the scimitar she is holding in her left hand, forcing him to let go and fall down, permanently out of action.
"Thank you guys!" the tall adventuress smiles at Buppido and Eldeth, checking, now that the adrenaline of the fight is waning, how much the armor - criticized so much by someone - has been able to limit the damage.
"Yes, it's just a few scratches" she confirms, more to herself, perhaps, than to anyone in particular. "Are you all right Ebzer, rocky one?" she pats him on the shoulder.
After that, the blonde arcane warrior frisks the corpses: "I wonder if these Abyss kennel rejects had anything with them that would come in handy... Buppido, would you be so kind to come here and help me search them?"
The tall adventuress pays particular attention to the Gnoll Boss' armor, figuring that it may be of better quality than that of her minions...
The noble drow stays put, wary of more gnolls or hook horrors coming at them through the tunnles of this maze, using his drow magic to clean himself up after the battle, shaking his head as Khessa is in for yet another change of armor.

You managed to come up with two bloodstones worth 50 gp each and a brown tourmaline worth 100 gp, but the armor isn't any better than what you have currently.
Katryl and Traydark, the tunnels have gone eerily quiet, if there was a sound before, you don't hear anything now.
As you all make your way further through the tunnels you round a corner and get the smell of smoke, blood and metal, then the walls begin to light up some from the flames of a modest fire just down a ways. There are shadows being cast against the wall as well that move every now and then. It seems you have found the gnoll's camp that unfortunately stands in the way of you and your way out.
"We do not know how many of them are in the camp..."whispers Khessa "Maybe it's better to lure them in the tunnels, in a point where they can come at us only a few at a time".
Katryl speaks in a lowered voice. "Perhaps some of us could try and scout forward without being seen." She then glances back they way they had come. "Or perhaps we could see if one of the narrower passages would get us around them?" She then looks back at the group. "I certainly do not want to just charge in."
"I'd say we prepare to meet them in the tunnel, in a point where it is narrow enough for one person (Ebzer) or two (Sarith might be the other one? Or I also) to block it - so they also will need to come one or two at a time respectively - and all of us not in melee will be safe to range them" proposes Khessa. "If you think you can sneak, Katryl, you could go ahead, surprise-shot one of them, then run back behind us - so you will lure them here. Else, if you think it's too dangerous, I'll lure them with a spell. Traydark could also hide us behind an illusionary wall, like before, so we should surprise them a second time, as they come, see only a wall blocking the path, then are hit by a barrage from shots by us".
Ebzer looks thoughtful. Or perhaps constipated. "Afore we go pickin' a fight, it'd be better to ken how many o' the baddies are ahead of us. I could use a wee rest before I go collectin' new bruises, if ye catch me drift."
"I apologize, my friend," Khessa puts a hand on Ebzer's shoulder "I didn't realize how much this battle had affected you. Unfortunately, however, I cannot study the enemy from distance, with magic... I have not yet these kinds of powers; so, if we want to figure out how many there are, the only solution is for Katryl to sneak and see. At that point, if she isn't discovered, instead of attacking them by surprise, she comes back to us and tells us how many there are. But if we do so, however, it is advisable that we prepare for combat all the same, possibly with the illusory wall already in place, because if unfortunately Katryl is discovered and chased, at that point we will have to fight, whether we like it or not".
"Would you rather look for a quiet place to rest?" the blonde arcane warrior asks everyone doubtfully "I don't like this solution very much, because we don't know how many gnolls are roaming in this area... Now they could still be separated to hunt down the Hook Horrors, but if we delay they could reunite. .. and they would be more dangerous - especially if they find us, the whole lot of them, while we are resting. But it is still an option, if we think we really need it".
"I will do it." The noble drow says calmly, then using his drow magic to disappear from view. "I will survey the situation ahead and then return to report, be ready to attack swiftly and without mercy or remorse." He says grimly before going silent. He then sneaks forward for some recon.

With barely a sound Traydark is able to sneak up closer through the tunnel and get a better look at the source of the light and shadow. The tunnel actually breaks once more in a "T" shape, with going down the center of the T leads to a smallish chamber, perhaps about 30ft in diameter. A modest fire burns in the middle of the room while three gnolls stand around it as if on guard. Metal pikes dot the area as well and the smell of blood and metal is stronger the closer you get. The other top half of the "T" btw leads to a dead end after a little bit down that side.
The noble drow skulks back to the others. "I am back. There is just three wretched gnolls over there, eager to be journeyed on to meet the ravening mad Yeenoghu, guarding what is likely to be our way onwards towards Gracklstugh, try to be quiet as you approach and this should be quick."He says quietly and moves back into position to blast the gnolls from a distance as the others attack.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Katryl readies herself once Traydark returns with the information about the gnoll's encampment. Eldeth prepares to follow as well. The two will proceed with Traydark (is he still invisible?) and find positions where they would be able to attack from as much distance as possible.
