The mice are following you, while continually chanting the poem: Three 'Definitely Not' Blind Mice.
As you round the corner, you see a smithy in shambles. Coals all over the floor, and swords, maces, shields, and other weapons strewn across the floor, all bent past the point of saving. There is a dwarf kneeling on the floor, screaming at what appears to be a person in a four-armed suit of armor, grabbing four swords off of the wall's racks.
Merad, slackjawed, wipes his stinging eyes and follows suit after Morgran, Aridove, and the three mice. He looks cautiously into the smithy to get a better look at the Dwarf and the four-armed being, trying to determine if the dwarf is injured or in any danger.
As you approach the armored being, and it turns towards you with four swords battle-readied, you realize that the suit of armor has no legs. The armor appears to float in the air, moving as if there was a living being within it.
The being somehow glares at you menacingly with it's hollow head, and throws all four swords at the party.
OOC: IT'S TIME FOR THE FIRST FIGHT OF THE CAMPAIGN!!!
Hello all, just so you know, I'll be using the BETA 'My Encounters' page. That means that it will calculate damage delt to the monsters, and will roll initiative automatically for us all. You will still have to make you normal attack roles, and manually remove your own hp, but it makes it a little bit easier for everyone.
The empty suit of armor flies at Valvyr, showing that the suit of armor has sentience, for it targeted the most powerful of the group off the bat.
(17 to hit & 5 to hit on Valvyr's AC of 20, so both miss)
Valvyr was barely able to dodge the initial slam from the armor's gauntlets, which helped him to get ready for the second slam, which he easily dodged.
One of the swords that the armor threw out flies strait at Morgran Diamondhammer.
(19 to hit, on Morgran's 12 AC, so it lands, dealing 5 slashing damage.)
I'll leave it up to you to describe how this attack lands with your own descriptions.
The dwarven smith grabs a nearby wooden club, and charges at the Animated Armor, screaming "YOU BLOODY PEICE OF SCRAP! I SHOULD HAVE NEVER MADE YOU FOR THOSE SNAKE PEOPLE! I MUST FIX MY MISTAKE... AAAAAAAGH!!!"
(20 to hit on the armor's 18 AC, so it lands, dealing 2 bludgeoning damage.)
The dwarf's club lands squarely into the Animated Armor's shoulder guard, leaving a tiny dent.
The dwarf drops the useless wooden club, and starts running around, looking for a better weapon still in working condition.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Merad takes in the commotion and rushes into the room. He sees the flying sword slash at the Barbarian and whispers a prayer of protection upon Morgran, casting Shield of Faith. Then, Merad turns to the construct, aims and thrusts the butt of his quarterstaff with both hands at the renegade armor. Attack: 21 Damage: 11

Circi jolts at the commotion, and her eyes lock onto the sentient armor with a mixture of intrigue and alarm. She watches how the creature reacts as it is attacked with the club, and shoots out a hand to cast eldritch blast at its head.
As she goes to cast her attack, her magic feels weaker than anticipated, disrupting her aim. Her ears ring slightly as her demonic companion swears angrily in her mind, curse that retched priest! She shakes off her failed attack and runs toward the smith, smiling pleasantly despite the situation, "Good morning sir! What's up with the floating armor situation exactly?"

"It's meant for one of the goddamn snake people. I accidentally threw some animating powder onto the armor, and it appears to have put some onto those swords. D'Avit!"
