"So are ye goin' ta make somethin' fer each and everyone o' us then, aye? If'n so, do ye need specific details on what ye spin up or do we just say, gimme a pair o' gloves?"
Val was wondering the same thing. If Nib can make them magical items, a specific wand, for example, would be much more useful than a random wand.
"I can make only one particular wand a wand of secrets. I am truly repentant, but I would like to leave the cave someday. That can only happen if Granny Nightshade is gone from Thither. I know it is a dangerous favor I ask but I will ask of it anyway" says Nib
"I can make only one particular wand a wand of secrets.
Valrieth sounds a little sad about that: "Oh." At first, she thought that he was offering to make them any wand, and she briefly imagined paralyzing the hags or blasting them with lightning.
Val asks, "What about the other things? Are the boots, cloak, gloves, and amulet that you offered to make also magical? If so, what do they do?" She wants to find out what they stand to gain before she addresses the requested favor.
"With articles of clothing I cannot say until it is finished and worn. Sometimes they are magical and sometimes they are not. Now if you wish such an item from me then please let me know if not then please depart and leave me in peace" says Nib a bit agitated as he almost looks behind his shoulder before he stops himself
Does Lerak notice this agitation, is there someone else then Nibs here ??? Perception: 6
Not seing anything, Lerak concentrates and uses his links with the Weave. He closes his eyes for a second and tries to feel if there is anything magical other than Nibs around here.
Magic Awareness As an action, you can open your awareness to the presence of concentrated magic. Until the end of your next turn, you know the location of any spell or magic item within 60 ft, of you that isn’t behind total cover. When you sense a spell, you learn which school of magic it belongs to.
"ooh, underappreciated and unpredictable is our lovely friend nibs, also unpublicized, an understatement, as you are usually unknown" ilifir grins merrily "not to mention unusual, uninformative, and unemancipated, and the latter is truly unfortunate. what contrary words we have here to describe you mr nibs, fitting i think"
leraks cloak shortens as requested, then vanishes, a pair of elbow length gloves appearing on ilifirs arms, decorated with a triangle on the back of the hand, pointing towards the fingers and bisected with a horizontal line "could you perhaps make me a pair like this?" he requests then mentally he transmits
"i think we should find more of why hes trapped here, and perhaps try to free him later, if we are going against this hag we should undo her workings"

This Mug immediately shared with me a transcendental tale of an Infinite Mug that anchors the Universe and keeps it from folding in on itself. I filed this report under "illogical nonsense" and asked why its sign is in Times New Roman font, when it is basic knowledge that Arial Black is a far superior font. I wondered: How did this mug even get past the assembly line with its theistic beliefs and poor font choices?
quote from Romantically Apocalyptic byVitaly S Alexius
Otto listening intently to the discourse, thinks to himself. What kind of item would best suit him? He recalls his time in The Revelry, his family; his brother Bennet. He remember the underdark, the myconids; he remembers burying Bennet there, wrapped in his favorite cloak. A cloak Bennet would flourish as part of their act, sometimes to distract the eye as Otto picked a pocket, other times to hide Bennet's own nimble fingers as they reached in the purse of someone watching Otto's card tricks. Otto let out an audible sigh, and looks at the ground.
"Well, if we all get an item, then heck, a cloak would probably be my choice." He gets noticeably more excited as he described it. "Maybe something maybe dark and textured on the outside, but with a shiny blue filigree on the inside lining that kinda catches the eye by surprise..." he stifles the growing excitement, feeling a bit embarrassed,"...or, you know, whatever."
He responds to Ilifnir telepathically, "agreed. with this kind of skill, Nib would make a powerful ally, I think. Yeah, I mean, heck, sounds like he did some rough stuff in his past, but I agree with Val and Lerak; at some point, you've atoned enough, ya know?"
He turns back to Nib. "On another topic, what can you tell us about this 'Will' fella on the wanted poster out front? An enemy of yours? Certainly seems to be an enemy of Skabatha's...so...maybe not an enemy of yours, aye?"
"With articles of clothing I cannot say until it is finished and worn. Sometimes they are magical and sometimes they are not. Now if you wish such an item from me then please let me know if not then please depart and leave me in peace" says Nib a bit agitated as he almost looks behind his shoulder before he stops himself
"Oh! Our apologies, Mr. Nib," Valrieth says. She doesn't want to offend anyone who could help them. Seeing his agitated look, Val steps to the side to peer past Nib and see whether there's something lurking behind him in the cave. (Perception26)
Val thinks to Otto, "Careful. There may be something else in the cave."
Val sees ghost like gaunt coachman, long-faced woman dabbing at her tears with a handkerchief, and a rail-thin waif wearing an eye patch. Quick as a candle’s flicker, one apparition vanishes, and another appears.
Nib nods at the request to make a cloak and gloves. He glumly shakes his head when asked about the wanted poster "I don't know much about what Grannt Nightshade seeks as I can no longer leave the cave. You can ask her in Loomlurch."
He grabs the golden yarn and begins quickly begins knitting a cloak and a pair of gloves. He works with a practiced hand though at times he stops as if disturbed by what lingers deeper in the cave.
"i would argue that being a bad landlord isnt even that terrible in the grand scheme of things to be honest. something else in the cave? let me add a third" he silently sends spike, still invisible, deeper into the cave
"watch my back, and dont worry"
"just a moment please sir, i will be right back"
with that he widens his stance slightly, and goes stiff, eyes closed and unresponsive
watching through spikes eyes as the quasit invisibly moves deeper into the cave

Finley Stoneshaft, Dwarf Artificer - The Wild Beyond the Witchlight, Falkas, Half-Elf Drow Warlock - Keys of Empire
Val sees ghost like gaunt coachman, long-faced woman dabbing at her tears with a handkerchief, and a rail-thin waif wearing an eye patch. Quick as a candle’s flicker, one apparition vanishes, and another appears....[Nib] grabs the golden yarn and begins quickly begins knitting a cloak and a pair of gloves. He works with a practiced hand though at times he stops as if disturbed by what lingers deeper in the cave.
As soon as Nib finishes the cloak, Valrieth ventures to ask him about the apparitions. "Excuse me, Mr. Nib," she touches his leg. "It's me, Valrieth, again. Is your cave haunted? Is that part of your deal with Granny Nightshade? For example, did you ever know a homeless child with an eye patch?"
He glumly shakes his head when asked about the wanted poster "I don't know much about what Grannt Nightshade seeks as I can no longer leave the cave. You can ask her in Loomlurch."
Val isn't sure whether he avoided that question on purpose. She asks, "But have you ever heard that name before: 'Will of the Feywild'? Do you know anything about him?"
Val considers what to ask Nib to make for her. She had thought that a wand that could empower her magic would be helpful, but she's less sure of the value of a "wand of secrets." She has heard of various types of magical boots and cloaks that might be useful, but she normally doesn't even wear boots. She's curious to see what Finley's amulet does.
"So, you see them as well. They are the people I have wronged in my life. They are a constant reminder of what I have done. They torture me so. No, I do not know anything about whoever Will is or what he may have done" says Nib as he continues his work and starts on the amulet. He physically shapes the golden threads and slips of gold as if they were hunks of clay.
Ilifir also sees the apparition through his familiar.
Not too long after he started Nib is finished with the 3 items. Nothing immediately happens upon wearing the cloak and amulet though each shimmer with a gold sheen. Though Ilifir knows that the gloves are gloves of thievery giving the wearer +5 to sleight of hand checks and lock picking checks.
Valrieth requests a cloak from Nib too. Since she doesn't normally wear shoes, she doesn't think that she would like wearing boots. She reassures Nib, "Yes, I can see the apparitions too. They're lurking in the cave behind you. But perhaps your generosity will lead to your release. These items that you're making for us will help us on our Quest. If we ultimately succeed, I think that Granny Nightshade will no longer rule Thither. I guess you'll finally be able to leave this cave then!"
After another flurry of knitting Val's cloak is done as well. "I hope in some way you can deal with Granny Nightshade. Well, I believe everyone has gotten one of my gifts. I hope they are to your liking." he then begins turning the piled gold in golden threads.
