The putrid smell of the creatures swirls around them in a noxious miasma. Anyone rolling below 12 is poisoned. Con Save at the end of your turn to end its effects.
((Errr so this is the first time I'm casting a level 3 spell slot. So I felt kind of inspired. But since it's kind of long and there's a picture at the end I put it all in the spoilers.))
Mara started chanting a poem, the most intricate poem she had ever recited. It was not hers, for humans do not live that long. As with all the spell-poems she recites, they were passed on to her.
"Wishing and wishing, to no satisfaction, Running and running, to no destination,"
She danced as she was attacked in the whirlwind of the creature's teeth and weapon, dodging, taking a hit, then glancing a blow off the invisible force of her Mage Armor.
"Climbing and climbing, nails covered in earth, Fighting and fighting, wounds that never heal!"
At that last word, she swipes her fan sharply, causing it to disintegrate into magical energy, leaving her completely unarmed. But the result of her dance had her floating a few inches off the ground. Then spreading her arms in a vulnerable position, a flash of light. A gigantic fan manifested itself behind her, a noble apparition inlaid with the design of a 牛車, or an ox-drawn cart. In other words, what the lizards would first see as a sign of human settlement.
"Even so, humans struggle to live, endlessly. Will you allow me to share with you....our beautiful struggle?"
Spectres of butterflies from the gigantic fan rushed upon the lizards, the powder of their wings giving them a terrible vision: The tough scales where they staked their pride upon were gone, replaced with pale, weak flesh. Their mighty teeth were filed down, forcing them out of caves to grow their own crops. Then at the end, their food supply was set upon by a hideous, multi-headed human who could not be reasoned with.
And then, they were left with nothing.
Basically because we've all seemed to line up [1][2][3] with the biggest (crag cat Fred) at the very tip, I'm assuming in our theatre of the mind battle that the lizardfrogs beset us all from one side.
So Mara will move to the side to cast Fear to make them roll a DC 15 WIS save, using the edge of the spell's 30 foot cone to catch them all in a slight diagonal line without hitting allies.
As the spectral butterflies attack, a real butterfly--if that's what you could call Mara's familiar---positions himself 5 feet beside Progo, eager to prove his little worth and gives Progo the Help action.
That finishes one off.
