Death sighs. “I’m Death. I spent a lot of time on the streets. I got taken in by the assassins guild. I ain’t killed no-one, but I made it through the academy. Those who make it through can be a dangerous bunch. If you don’t make it through, you die. The reason I’m called Death is because I was top of my class, and everyone’s sure I could kill in an instant. But I don’t think I could. I don’t have the heart after seeing the amount of suffering that I saw.” *sorry if I just dumped my entire backstory*
"Well now that we've been aquainted, we should go. I'd hate to find out what happens in this fog if we stay too long." Theran looks to Bogdan expectantly for them to lead the way.
He nods and begins to lead the way.
Thera looks around as they travel down the muddy road inspecting the trees and lack of greenery. "Not much life around these parts huh?"
"Most of the animals here are nocturnal, and most prey animals are so stealthy you just never see them. They have to be, given how powerful the predators are here."

Eventually, along the road where the forest grows thicker, you all see a massive iron gate set into stone walls jutting out of the woods. Two headless statues flank the dew-and-rust-covered bars of the gate, silent and unmoving. Their heads lie amongst the weeds on the ground.
"So this is the place huh? Doesn't seem like many people come here"

The gates slowly open of their own accord. "These are just the gates into the more populated part of the country. We're not there yet. We have to go through the deepest part of the Svalich woods first."

Bele listened and shared the concerns she'd heard. "Just how powerful are the predators. And more to the point, what are they?"
"Wolves, scarecrows, vampire spawn, zombies whose limbs animate when severed... lots of terrible things."
" By Bhall this is just a lovely place isn't it " Thera chuckles a bit at his own words.
"It's a lot less funny once you get used to it."
"Trust me, I know of suffering. But with faith, you can find the light in the darkness." Thera stops for a moment and covers the holy symbol on his left shoulder guard of armor in honor of his god. He continues to walk with the party.
"Zombies, werewolves... vampires?" Ivor groans. "Ohhh, I never should'a left in the first place." Twirling around the silver ring on his finger, he gulps and steps through the gate with the others. "Er, Bogdan? How likely are we to, uh... encounter one of these monsters on our way to the city?"

Suddenly, a tall and lithe young woman wearing a white lace gothic dress with her hood on, wakes up. Her upper body erects upright, putting her body in a perfect ninety degree angle. She opens her eyes to reveal that her pupils are a deep azure blue and her scalearas are as black as the night sky. She stands up, and then remains as motionless as a cadaver, her otherworldly eyes studying the other warriors down to the smallest detail.
"Hello, it is a pleasure to meet you all. Who are all of you?" The mysterious young woman ask in a soft yet firm tone.
Ivor looks like he's just seen a ghost. And as far as he can tell, he has. But, being a Faenor means being hospitable, so he manages to get out a, "Ivor, it's... nice to meet you. You are?"

"Just keep up your guard, we'll make it Ivor." Thera attempts to comfort him with a hand placed on their shoulder.
