Cal tilts her head slightly, listening intently to the noise. She puts her now empty plate down on the nearest table and moves to look out a window.
Cal sees the same as Anna: nothing that could be causing the noise.
She shrugs her woolen jumper back over her shoulders steps out the door, trying to hear which direction the noise is coming from.
Perception!

*ooooh!! nice!!*
The noise disappears :)
She looks deeply confused, but after a moment heads back inside to the fireplace. "Sorry to walk out on you folks, thought I heard something", she says to the two triton. "You hear anything? Or am I delusional".
The two tritons look around. "Now that you mention it, yeah. I'm sure that's just construction, or someone setting off avalanches nearby." The young triton dismisses the topic, but the old woman doesn't. "I'm not sure, do you hear music? Oh, it sounds like a record I have at home..." The young triton puts his arm on her shoulder. "Listen, Memá, I'm sure someone at the bar or someone upstairs left a record player on." The old woman starts to protest, but then realizes something and settles back down again, content.
"Which record is that, the one it sounds like? It didn't seem much like music to me. But there's a record player in my room, maybe they'll have the same one and I can listen to it."

"Oh, well...." The old woman trails off. "I don't remember."

"Never mind then. What can you tell me about this town? Anythin' I should look out for, or go see? It's my first time here."

"Well, we have some pretty great ski slopes nearby." The young man offers. "But... I guess it wouldn't be wise to do that now. Hunting's a popular sport here too, there's some pretty shops, oh, what else?" He turns to the old woman, who has a dangerous glint in her eye. It's a warning. "Don't go to the house at the end of the road. You can wander, walk some trails, but not there."

She nods. "I'll keep all that in mind, thank you. I better go find the rest of my party. Make sure they know about the house too." She stands up quickly, too quickly, and practically runs off to find Anna and the others.

"Anna, hey! You busy? Feel like doing some exploring of a certain mysterious house?" She's almost grinning, for the first time on this trip.
"Hell yeah, I've been waiting for someone to say that." She grins in return, ready to build on the excited feeling.
Cal starts putting on a coat and some fingerless gloves. "Judgin' by the amount of people tellin' us not to go, we should be in for an interesting time. You ready?" She looks over to Anna.

Anna throws on her coat and boots, deciding against gloves as they don’t really work for her. “The more they say no, the more I say yes.” She pulls her coat over her shoulders and looks Cal in the eyes. “Ready.”

She goes back to the others, deciding not to pursue the sound any further. She needs to regroup for a sec before heading out again.
