"Indeed, Master Akkron!" Khessa shudders, remembering the sound of the Angry Giant's voice "I really don't understand..." turning her head towards the goliath "You were so convincing, Tyekanik... Maybe Azash was controlling them and preventing them from surrendering. Anyway," returning to focus on the priests "let's see if they have anything useful..."
The blonde arcane warrior searches the corpses, looking for loot or possible useful objects.
"So willing to throw their lives away for their mad god..." he mutters. "Now, let's see what they were up to..."
Arcana to determine what ceremony they were attempting to perform: 29 (or 25 if rolled at disadvantage; in game log)
They were in the process of putting on black robes, as in preparation for a ceremony or a service. As you search the room, you see there is an opening in the back, with no doors but two torches sputtering. There is a passageway leading away from the room.

4 sets of a dull black plate armor, 4 mauls, spell books written in Zemoch with their version of darkness, spare the dying, thaumaturgy, banishment, command, dispel magic, flame strike, guardian of faith, hold person, lesser restoration, and revivify. You also find 2 vials of potions of extra healing per (8 total)
Khessa divides what she finds among everyone (Mal, Tyekanik, Akkron, and Khessa can each take a set of dull black plate armor, a maul, and 2 potions of extra healing... and a Zemoch spellbook, if anyone is interested - the spells listed they all seem clerical, but if they happen to be written so that even an arcane spellcaster can learn them, they are certainly very interesting).
The blonde arcane warrior then suggests continuing through the new discovered passage, the one leading away from the room after the opening in the back, with no doors but two torches sputtering: "Mal? Tyekanik? Usual strategy? Do you feel like scouting ahead?"
Tyekanik shoves a set of armor into his bag and takes the potions of healing ((what are potions of 'extra healing'?)). He then nods and says, "Aye, let's clear this place out. Haven't even worked up a sweat yet," and heads forward to continue scouting.
It appears that this opening into the old cavern was created on purpose, though it appears it is very old, and why it is crumbling in some places. Once through the room, you are in a natural passageway, let by torches set in the walls. The passageway is angling southeast for 60 feet. After 30 feet, there is a small opening into the old cavern. At 60 feet, it is a T-intersection as trhe passageway opens top about 40 feet across. The larger portion goes to the left, and its dark, no torches go in that direction. To the right, you see the same four-armed gargoyle statues standing just before two large black doors that are closed. The doors have a strange script written on them in a silver in-lay.
Khessa muses aloud: "On the left, mere darkness... on the right, guardians and a door with writing. Seems like an easy choice. Shall we wake up those gargoyles?" she prepares to launch a ranged attack, waiting for her fellow adventurers to be ready too, then counts "Three, two, one... Wake up!"
And she directs a Fire Bolt at the nearest gargoyle.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
If the statues come to life (as expected) Akkron will hit them both with tasha's mind whip, dealing 15 psychic damage and forcing them to choose between an action, bonus action, or movement on their next turn if they fail a DC 24 Int save (half damage and no other effects on a success). If they do not come to life, he'll save that 3rd-level spell slot for later.

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?

Well... it should be Tyekanik's turn, but if he is not available, I"d say have the gargoyles act... Do they use their only action to approach Khessa? If yes, then we all might be free to act again for the new round...
Charging forward towards the nearest gargoyle, Tyekanik throws his axe at the first where it immediately appears back in his hand mid charge. Axe now firmly in hand he brings it down in another great swing, hoping to remind this statue that it should have remained still.

All three strikes are good, and the priest falls to the floor
Your strikes are good, and the final priest who was already wounded, falls to the floor

Khessa's Fire Bolt Attack: 18 Damage: 18 (fire)
Mal will wait to shoot the same gargoyle that Khessa shoots to see if it reacts first before firing.

As suspected, these are the same type of Gargoyles, once it is hit, it begins to move.
Save: 20
Mal shrugs and then fires, "I was hoping it would at least be something different but enh."
1st H-Xbow Attack: 14 (19-5) 9 Piercing Damage 5 Necrotic 10 Sharpshooter = 24
2nd H-Xbow Attack: 20 (25-5) 9 Piercing Damage 6 Necrotic 10 Sharpshooter = 25
Quietly under her breath Mal starts to swear as she sees her bolts possibly skittering across the hard surface of the gargoyle.
Bolt one does screech across the Gargoyle causing no damage, the second one hits true
