"Oh, thanks, but I think I will have the very good company of my floor mate over there." Malvyn says with a smile, looking over at the waiting genasi. "Thank you for the dance Aurora, and of course the performance. I hope I'll run into you during classes but otherwise I suspect I'll find you here right?" The purple-skinned tiefling continues, then leading the raven-haired performer over to Rubina. "It was good to meet you Rubina, and thank you for letting me have the company of your friend." Malvyn says with a friendly smile to the dark-skinned musician, letting go of Aurora and giving her a small smile as well. "Good night now."
The purple-skinned tiefling then walks over to his waiting friend."Sorry if I got you waiting there. I must admit I didn't quite expect to be on the dance floor at all when we came here tonight. Did all the others leave already?"Malvyn says as he comes up to Guardok, ready to follow him back to Dresar Hall.
"Don't sweat it Mal", Guardok says looking up at Mal with a grin. "You know that deal we made, where I make sure you don't just study all the time? Well I don't think I am going to have to try too hard", he says with a chuckle before answering his question.
"Yeah, they all left. Mei and Mae kind of disappeared, although Mei payed our bill first. Knap left soon after", he explains as they make their way back to Dresar Hall.
"Oh, I see."Malvyn says as Guardok explains about the others leaving, walking beside genasi through the Strixhaven night back to their dorms. "I suppose you might be right my friend, I have a feeling I will visit Bow's End tavern again." He says with a small smile, looking up at the stars above, trying to fathom what the knight of cups had somehow survived this evening.
"So do you think everyone had a good time tonight?" He asks after a while, a hint of worry in his voice.
The group is finally all back at Dresar Hall after some had visited the Bow's End Tavern. Everyone had had the opportunity to get some food, relax, and get themselves ready for the first day of classes tomorrow in whatever way suits them. But now the sun is rising on a crisp clear autumn day. Soon classes will be starting!
Mei, Malvyn, and Chara are the early birds of the floormates. They all have History of Magic and Art at 8am! Piero has Beginning Inkomancy then too, though nobody else does. The rest begin their day at 9am. Mellori, Guardok, and Mae start in Basic Magical Auras. And Knap is on his own in Beginning Computational Magic, although Piero is scheduled for that as well.
(OOC - Feel free to post about your pre-class morning, including getting to the classroom. I'd like to briefly play out the first class, but then we'll jump ahead to the end of the day. Not planning on going through every class or even every day! But after classes, I'd like to then have a chance to actually get to meet the others in your extracurriculars or jobs.)
After the walk home with Guardok, Malvyn would have wished the genasi a good night and then sneaked over to the study room for a while, sitting in the reading chair to contemplate and digest the quite eventful day for a while, feeling he owed the others, but maybe Mei in particular for dealing him that fateful card, for the amount of fun he had had, smiling to himself as he thought about how truly surreal the encounter with the mysterious Aurora had been for him. He wondered if he would dare to seek her out again, more courage would likely be needed for that. He was well aware that she might soon find someone else to give her attention but he promised himself he wouldn't ever regret having danced with her tonight at least.
Eventually the purple-skinned tiefling sneaks over to his and Knap's room, quietly making himself ready for bed and soon sleeping soundly, truly exhausted by the days many social interactions. The next morning he decides to not wake his roomie up, instead washing up and getting into his first-year uniform again, getting down for breakfast, joining any of his floor-mates he finds there of course. Soon he would be ready to head over to his History of Magic and Art class though, likely together with Mei and Chara, seeming a little bit tired still after only three cups of coffee but in a fairly plesant mood.
Malvyn and Chara would not find Mei in Dresar Hall come time to leave in the morning. Where they do find her, however, is already sitting in the classroom. Arms crossed on the desk. Her cheek laid atop them.
Sleeping soundly.
She seems wholly unbothered by the bustle of students shuffling into the classroom. And would appear to have forgotten her boots again, as her feet are clad once more in bunny slippers. An unseen force is replaiting her long, plum-colored hair in her usual twin-braid hairstyle.
Chara lays in bed until practically the last minute... at which point she just barely forces herself to get up, bushes her teeth quickly, then throws some water on her face before stumbling to class a bit bleary-eyed. She did not sleep very well, tormented by dreams of all her furniture coming to life and trying to eat her...

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
Finding the sleepy dreamer sleeping over her desk, the purple-skinned tiefling smiles as he notices her bunny slippers, but there is also a hint of worry in his fiery red eyes over finding her like this. He quietly finds a seat next to her and gently prods her, hoping he would wake her up in a not too unpleasant way. "Good morning...hope you slept and...dreamt well." He says quietly, almost regretting his last words.
Although he doesn't have an 8am lesson, Guardok's body clock is tuned to circus time, and he dutifully wakes up at 6am. His head is a little bit fuzzy, and his eyes are a tad more bleary than he is used to, but other than that he is not too worse for wear. He finds himself grateful that he only had the two drinks.
The first thing he does when his vision clears is look to see if Piero is there...
Mae seemed to sleep fairly well, and was up before dawn, but only just long enough to watch the sun rise outside, dressed in her student robes again, but playing her wooden flute softly as she faced the coming day. (Performance: 18 rolled in log) It is a meditative time for her, so she pays no real attention to others on their way out and about, until she is done with her soft, slow melody, welcoming the golden sun against her skin. She stayed for only about a quarter hour before going back inside to refresh herself, gather her things and head back out to eat breakfast. Keeping an extra piece of fruit or two in her bag, just in case, Mae makes her way to her first class, with a touch of nervous excitement, and finds a seat toward a middle side of the room, arriving with ample time to spare but not overly early. She sits down and gets ready for the class, casually watching people coming in now and then.
As Malvyn prods her, Mei takes a sharp breath and turns to rest on her other cheek with a sleepy moan. "Five more minutes..." she entreats with a grumpy grumble. It's a moment later that her eyes pop open wide and she sits straight up, looking a bit bewildered as she remembers where she is.
"Malvyn! Hi, good morning!" She blinks at the tiefling, a smile growing gradually across her face, then rubs at her tired eyes. One of her braids unravels slightly with all the movement and, as it's picked up again to redo, it's lightly jerked and her head is yanked back. "Ow, sorry, sorry. I'll stay still," she says to the invisible entity.
Scooting her chair towards Malvyn, Mei asks with a hint of concern and guilt, "Did you get back okay last night? Are you feeling alright? I'm sorry we didn't stay."
Mei, Malvyn, and Chara all made it to their class independently. The room is filling quickly with students though clearly not all the seats have been filled quite yet.
At this point, a woman dressed in what you think is a Prismari professor's robes enters and walks up toward the front. Her skin has a reddish tone to it and her hair is a bright reddish-orange - wild, whispy, and slightly moving like a flickering flame. She is clearly a fire genasi.
Mae heads out a little later to arrive at her class. She's not the first but she can easily pick out the seat she wants.
None of you have seen Mellori this morning. Guardok and Mae both notice a small note sitting outside the door to Mei and Mellori's room. There is a purple dahlia along with it.
"Oh, it's quite okay Mei, I think I and Guardok left not long after you and Mae." Malvyn explains with a small smile.
Later as the Prismari professor enters the classroom the purple-skinned tiefling immediately sits straight in his chair, quite focused on studying now.
As the clock finally hits 8:00 exactly, the Fire Genasi begins to speak. "I am Professor Veyran, Prismari Professor of Perfection. We are here for History of Magic and Art!" she says enthusiastically. She creates a twisting arch of fire around her head as she moves her hand. She then gives a grin as she looks out over the students. "If that is not the course you were expecting, you might be in the wrong room." Either nobody is in the wrong place, or nobody is brave enough to immediately move. She calls the roll and it appears all are accounted for.
"Now I may show you a simple elemental artistic display now and then." She again waves her hand, causing a stream of water to form, twisting and weaving it's way around her for a moment. "The focus is not as much on spellcasting as it is on the history. But I hope through this class you will learn to increase your knowledge of ways magic can be used in art and also how art might influence magic. I hope you will all find it as fascinating as I do."
She continues on with diving into the various ways that magic artistry might be categorized. It seems the start of the class will deal with performance artists.
About an hour later - more precisely 50 minutes - a ball rings and Professor Veyran dismisses you. Mei, Malvyn, and Chara all have an hour before their next class.
Professor Veyran, Voice of Duality
With 9:00 approaching it is now time for Mellori, Guardok, and Maeto attend their first class. Maeis already there when Melloricomes in and takes a seat in the back. Right as the clock hits the top of the hour an Aasimar woman with bright white hair and light turquoise eyes comes in. She is dressed in a Prismari Professor's robes. "Hello to you all and welcome to Basic Magical Auras. I am Professor Bralte, and I'm considered a Professor of Expression. Although I'm part of the Prismari College, this course is really general studies and will cover basic concepts of magic. Since we're talking auras here, who can give me an example of where an aura might come into play?"
The professor takes some answers and follows up with a few more questions. She then stops, "Oh right, I'm supposed to call the roll." She does then quickly starts in on her lesson, starting with a review of the different schools of magic. She doesn't quite make it to all of them when the bell for the end of class rings. "All right, look forward to next time. We'll finish this up!"
And with that, their first class is over.
Professor Bralte
(OOC - Guardok can go ahead and still post his morning activities and arrival at class still. And I was waiting for a post from Knap before posting about his first class of the day. I just wanted to move things along a little.)
The purple-skinned tiefling listens quite attentively to Professor Veyran, concentration only broken briefly as he nudges the dreamer beside him to stay awake. He hadn't had any special interest in art before but he finds the subject more interesting than he had anticipated.
As class finishes Malvyn finds Chara and Mei outside the classroom. "An hour to next class, would you both join me for a refreshing walk."He says with a friendly smile "Or would you prefer some more sleep perhaps?" He says with a smile to the dreamer. "I could use another cup of coffee though so maybe I will drop by the Biblioplex cafeteria."
Seeing Piero is not there, Guardok gets about his morning routine. He quickly dresses in casual clothes and makes his way outside, before practicing forms with his rapier. Something he very rarely got a chance to do with the circus, due to the amount of work going on. Once he has done that, he also takes the opportunity to go for a run along the paths of the campus.
When he gets back to Dresar Hall, he does his ablutions and dresses in his uniform, and heads to the breakfast hall feeling famished.
After he is done with breakfast, he realises he is not actually 100% sure where he has to go to get to his class, and starts to panic a little. This is when is realises he doesn't have his timetable and rushes back up to the 4th floor to retrieve it. This is when he notices the note with the purple dahlia outside Mei and Mellori's room. Being small, he doesn't have to stoop much to look to see if the note is addressed to anyone in particular, and if it is even sealed. If it is sealed, or addressed to someone, he will leave it, not one to invade anyone's privacy. If not, curiosity gets the better of him and he has a peak.
That done, and his timetable in hand, he heads off in search of the classroom for Basic Magical Auras with Professor Bralte. By the time he gets in sight of the room, the professor is already entering, and so he rushes in behind her and dashes for an empty chair on the front row. Panting slightly as he takes a seat just in time for her to turn around and address the class.
"Well, that sounds lovely!"the winged tiefling says. "I think that some coffee sounds like the best thing for me to do right now... I never really had to be up this early before and maybe some caffeine would help me adjust a little bit..."
She can't help but giggle... perhaps still a bit addled by how tired she is.
"Or maybe I'll still be tired, but faster. But it's worth a try, right?"

Malvyn seems pleased to have the company of both Chara and Mei to the Biblioplex cafeteria for his fourth cup of coffee this morning, then walking with the other two in the warming sun outside, his shoulder bag safely at his side as always it seems. "We missed you last night..." He says to the winged tiefling beside him, seeming sincere and just not polite. "...I hope you had an okay evening too of course." He adds with a friendly smile, giving the intriguing tiefling girl a curious smile.
"And I hope you had a good time at the tavern too Mei..."The purple-skinned tiefling asks the dreamer a bit tentatively. "...and I want to thank you for your card of course." He adds with a mysterious smile.
"Oh, thanks, but I think I will have the very good company of my floor mate over there." Malvyn says with a smile, looking over at the waiting genasi.
