The massive blonde bearded warrior lets out a growl as the last shadowy fiend is defeated, quickly looking around at his brave adventuring companions making sure they are all okay, then making a final effort to close the tear with his last remaining strength.
Seeing the barbarian drawn into the Breach, Cork reflexively reaches out to try to hold Thurodim in this plane of existence.

The little wizard also darts forward to grab Big Man by the back of his britches with freshly burned hands, heaving backwards with all her might. "You can't!" she cries. "You can't leave me too!"

(So my reasoning is, since Thurodim’s danger sense already gives him advantage, the help action doesn’t really provide additional benefits.)
Despite his primal instincts telling him that the portal is dangerous, Thurodim doesn’t react in time and becomes locked in the anomaly as it begins to pull him apart, just like it did with the grotesque monster moments ago.
As Thurodim becomes restrained, he suffers 12 force damage as he feels his flesh and bones twist and contort under the pull of the unstable magic.
Ember’s efforts, though brave, are not enough to help pull the massive barbarian out of the anomaly.
Big Ozyre, who didn't have a chance to get back to normal size after the battle, bounds over to the other side of the entrapped Thurodim. He begins to lift one of his legs up.
"Everybody brace!"
Ozyre tries the best he can to release Thurodim by delivering a mighty kick to his back.

With the help of Ozyre’s enhanced giant strength, Thurodim is pushed out of the anomaly before it consumes him and sends him to whatever hellish reality the shadow fiends come from.
The massive blonde bearded warrior slumps to the ground after being saved by his brave companions, giving them a nod of what is likely gratitide. "Better close that thing fast, but it will take a mind greater than mine to figure out how."He says with resignation in his voice, sounding quite weary now, but slowly forcing himself to stand up again.
With Thurodim sliighhtly more on her level, an angry-scared Ember does her best to loom over the barbarian before he stands, hands fisted on her hips.
“Big Man,” she scolds, and seems about to lecture him, before the whole facade collapses with a tremble of her lower lip. The little wizard suddenly throws her arms around his thick neck, giving him the tightest bear hug she can. “You can’t go.” When she pulls back, her face is tear-stained and snotty. “Don’t go, okay?”
Tha massive blonde bearded warrior gives the little fiery witch an awkward pat on the back with his large hand. "There, there, I'm not going anywhere little one..." He says, giving the girl with a squirrel's nest for hair a weak smile. "...but we need to close that tear." He adds with a grim tone, looking to the others for ideas on how to accomplish that.
Ember chucks a pebble at the anomaly, which then begins distorting and breaking apart until every last minute piece is sucked inside the tear and disappears entirely.
Relieved that the giant man was removed from the rift without grievous injury, the kenku sets himself down a safe distance away from the anomaly and considers what they have observed so far.
He gestures at Ozyre and swings an imaginary hammer... then splays his fingers out and closes them ever so slightly.
Then he points at Ember and makes an exaggerated spellcasting motion, the sound of roaring flames echoing from his open beak... then splays his fingers out and closes them a little more.
Willing to experiment with outside the box ideas, he opens his beak and a soft voice emerges. It is distant, as if coming from the other side of a large room. Its the voice of a mother, muttering quiet comfort to an infant.
[healing word, cast on the anomaly itself for 6hp worth of healing.]

Cork’s voice starts low and quiet, a soothing pleasant sound compared to the screeching you’ve had to endure all day. With his magic and the acoustic of the crypt, the sound builds up and echoes through the room. Slowly, the essence of the kenku’s spell begins to dissipate the whirling chaotic energy of the tear, like water washing off a stain. It takes a few moments, but eventually the tear seems to dissipate out of thin air. The light emmitted by the anomaly now gone, the crypt is now in total darkness. Yet, in spite of the blinding darkness, you feel like the atmosphere is less heavy and tense. You don’t have this feeling like the shadows are watching you anymore.
(Congratulations! That’s 3 successes and 1 failure. The skill challenge is passed.)
Not caring much for the darkness, Thurodim quickly lights another torch, holding it up to check on the others. "Was that it? Is the witchcraft dealt with?" He asks with his deep voice, not quite daring to hope they could leave this place of death now.
There is an alternating scratching/clacking noise in the darkness. When Thurodim lights his torch, it reveals [Sound of Cork Popping] jumping from clawed foot to foot, waving his arms in the air and doing a happy dance.

Thurodim attempts to shut the portal with his bare hands. As he approaches the anomaly, he feels the whirling mass gradually try to pull him inside.

“Okay,” she nods, then blows her nose into her red scarf. “What if we all try to hit it at the same time? Like… overwhelm it?”
Ember crouches and picks up a large rock, then chucks it at the tear to see how it reacts. "Maybe it can only consume so much at a time?”
