While on the causeway, Nathaniel would stay ready to spread his bloodred bat-like wings and catch anyone going off into the lava, if possible.

Laine will report his findings about the guild to the group on the way down. 

Laine follows suit, keeping an eye out as they make their way further down. He knows the connection cut out near the thermal plant so he's on high alert.

Gavyn unstraps his shield and draws his axe, taking point as they venture forth onto the causeway.

Nisha trails behind the others, a scowl etched across her features, her steps as careful as they can be. This city keeps delivering the most unpleasant experiences, as if the perpetual soot and gloomy weather in Lower Hupperdook weren't already bad enough. Now, an underground volcano or something adds to the list. The oppressive heat becomes unbearable, soon forming beads of sweat on her face. Her silver hair stubbornly sticks like glue to her neck and forehead. Every breath feels like inhaling fire, from her nose to her throat, even her lungs, sensations she's never had to endure before. "Disgusting," she mutters under her breath, clearly unimpressed with the dismal scenery unfolding around them.

The party proceeds to the thermal plant and after 15 minutes Laine and Nathaniel hear the flapping of wings from below the causeway. When looking over the edge 6 fiery creatures dripping with lava are flying up to towards the party. Each of you have but a moment to do something before the creatures are upon you.

To avoid the devilish lava-imps and use his mobility and long ranged attacks, Nathaniel would take to the air on his preparation round, going up as far as he can (60 feet).

Kaelen is hit with the fire breath of the creatures and falls down passing out from the damage.

As luck would have it, Nisha seems to be engulfed in the flames coming out from everywhere, and she succumbs to Kaelen's fate as well. 

Laine will attempt to hide as he hears the sounds. The first breath hits him fully, and he raises his hands to absorb some of the fire, his skin taking on a more shimmery tone.

He curses under his breath as two of his teammates fall immediately. He then, runs over to Kaelen and feeds him a healing potion for 7 healing. Then moves to cover further away from the mephits.

Gavyn takes one full hit and two partial ones, nearly dropping him. His eyes wide with terror, he pulls his healing potion out and chugs pours it into Kaelen's mouth.

"Get up, get up, get up," he says to the cleric.

Second wind: 6

The tortle moves as far from the imps as he can, "Catch me if you can, sulphur-breath!"

Gavyn is in dire straights but is still...er...limping.

As the potions are poured into the minotaur he just opens his eyes looking to Nisha as he reaches out his hand "Death will not have us today my friend." he says casting Cure Wounds on her and then tries to roll out of the way and stand up.
