I'd like to join your mission, I am Haj i Rae, a Ranger from the desert sands of The Sword.
Haj grew up in one of the Bedine tribes that wandered the southern part of Anauroch known as The Sword. He was just another Bedine youth, trained to survive the harshness of his homelands, and to fight with traditional weapons. All that changed in his 15th year when he began to display divine magical abilities. Initially these were looked upon as 'a favour of the gods' but as his abilities grew his tribe became fearful, and he was cast out for being a witch. For a while he lived a solitary existance, using his new abilities to bolster his survival skills. After several months he stumbled upon a small group of traders being led by a D'tarig guide. After helping the group to deal with a Zhentarim attack he was offered the chance to travel with them. Overcoming his initial distrust he joined the group and travelled to the west. Since then he has wandered far and wide across Faerûn, experiencing new horizons and environments that were mere fables to the Bedine.
Stats are standard array. I'm looking at Gloomstalker for 3rd level.
Experience: I've played in the past (3.5) and some 2e (I'm no spring chicken), but not had much to do with 5e. I'll be moving North next year so I'm trying to get some experience before I join my daughter's group after I've moved.
Haj considered the old man's words. Since leaving the wastes of his homeland, he had encountered many strange new environments; some good, some not so good, but had only ever heard whispers about the lands of the Fey. Could they be any worse than the swamps he'd encountered? All that water and none if it drinkable. Maybe, but why not find out?
"Very well" he murmured "I will join this endeavour and see what the fates bring" adding under his breath "but I don't trust that gnome, there's something not right with him".
Backstory: Barreknar served in the raiding party of his tribe. His tribe was ambushed while he was out on a raid. When he and the rest of the party returned to find the remains of there tribe, they seeked to find those responsible. As the raiding party slowly disbanded over time as members broke off to other tribes, Barreknar decided to venture off on his own, to find his own adventure. The tribes led by strength, and being rather strong by nature, most tribes wouldn't want him thinking he would test for power. In his travels to find adventure, Barreknar got wrapped up in a mercenary group and was taken captive by bandits. It was there that Barreknar met Madryck Roslof, who led the negotiations that got the prisoners freed, which included Barreknar. They crossed paths a few times after that, Barreknar taken a job as a city guard and Madryck passing through town for supplies. They were aquatances at best saying hi as they passed in the street, so it was quite the surprise getting the summon from the old timer but Barreknar stilled seeked adventure. "Well now, I wasn't sure what you'd call me all the way out here for, but this certainly isn't what I would have guessed. You know I've never been anywhere near the the fey. I'm up for the job, as long as you're sure you got the right adventurer for the job."
Robin was a trickster and cheat as a youth, running con games with rigged dice. She adopted the cover of a halfling named Barley to cover her a...assets, since angry customers wouldn't look for a fairy instead of a halfling. As she grew older the games didn't seem fun when they hurt people (she sometimes gave money back) and with her sense of humor the service of Nathair Sgiathach was a perfect match (D&D Fay wiki -pronounced neigh-er skey-ak)[3] is the fey deity of mischief and pranks. His symbol is a smile. Her holy symbol is a smiley face). Robin enjoys cheating and tricking her enemies, but not her friends.
Robin could be from the current carnival or the one 8 years ago. Either way, she was born and raised in the Faywild. If that's a problem, use the "carnival 8 years ago" option and say she's forgotten things or they changed while she was away.
"I've never met this Zybilna, but I can find the way. You'll need all the help you can get", she says with a wry smile. "But how will I get any treasure if I stay home after we get there?"
I have been a part of 3 campaigns and have DM'd one.
Backstory: Raised in an hidden city deep in the forest, in an environment where power and influence was measured in knowledge gained I got a taste for acquiring rare and dangerous knowledge. I soon realized that if I wanted to acquire said knowledge I would need to go further than the walls of my home city so I left in search of new and exciting knowledge.
I wasn't able to make a sheet b/c I don't currently have space, but can make it if chosen. Is not having a sheet already a deal breaker? I think I gave the basic information on the character which should give you enough of an idea regardless.
Backstory: Reverence is a tiefling and an immigrant from the east, like many tiefling he become a second class citizen in Waterdeep, living from pickpocketing, mugging and fencing goods.
One day he mugged the wrong guy, a monk of the Old Order who brought a box of donation full of gold. Turns out the monk is an adept in martial arts and beats him without even moving from where he stands. The kind monk didn’t just left him alone in the darkened alley but offered him a place in the monastery. There he find his redemption.
Three years later Reverence has become a new man, and he is tasked to wander the road for a year, helping people along the way as the next step of his training as a monk of the old order.
Response:
“The rewards you offered could benefit the order greatly as donation and in turn we can help more people in needs. It is the way of the old order.”He said to Madryck Roslof.
“This archfey seems very close to you and it seems that the care is both ways. If Master Rafu ever gone missing I would search for him in a heartbeat. I understand your plight my good man.” He nods in understanding.
“I will seek Zbilyna of Prismeer and bring the news back to you. You have my word!” Reverence said with a conviction in his voice.

Not a dealbreaker no. I should have technically said applications, I'm also responses as well for rp reasons
