Hewelathan tries to heave the creature into the cylinder, but he fails either because he's too disgusted to grip it properly or because the amorphous monster just oozes away from him and fastens itself to the ground with more of its mouths. It doesn't help that the stone is starting to feel spongy, and Hewelathan realizes that his feet are actually starting to sink into the stone floor.
Seeing the creature fight its way out of the grapple, Korba focuses on his spell but runs over plugs in his ears and attempts to help Hew get it back under control.

Hewelathan sees Korba rushing over to help with the gibbering mouther. Even before Korba touches the creature, it starts to stretch a mouth-covered peudopod toward Korba, and some of its mouths on the opposite side release their grip on the ground. With the creature's attention split between the two of them, Hewelathan feels its grip on the ground loosen even as the bulk of the creature shifts back in his direction. With a final desperate heave, Hewelathan manages to detach it from the ground, and with Korba's help, the two half-elves succeed in tossing the gibbering mouther up and into the specimen cylinder!
Action: as discussed, amending the previous action to account for advantage. shove gibbering mouther #1 up and into the cylinder: Athletics14 (in game log, best of (14, 10)) Spent 1 luck point to try to give the shove a higher DC, and the third roll was: Athletics27 (in game log) 🥳

And, at long last, Hewelathan and Korba manage to stuff the writhing mass of gnashing teeth into the jar! It hisses and gibbers, trying in vain to break through the tempered glass!
The mouthers are up now...
The two that are not currently in a jar try to attack Flinn (since he's the only one close enough for them to get to)

*I meant Gibbering Mouther 2 and 3, respectively. Sorry.
Also... looks like Flinn is not up and is instead unconscious and dying. Remember, it is still possible to save him. He was not killed outright by the damage... but... yeah, probably should try and get him out fast if you don't want him to be aberration chow...

(OOC: it's not clear whether putting the gibbering mouther in the jar last round included putting the lid on it. If not, he does that this round. If it did, he'll use his action to attack the gibbering mouther #3, the one that bit Flinn.)
Hewelathan is feeling a little shaky after his struggle with the "writhing mass of gnashing teeth", but hearing Flinn's cry snaps him out of it and reminds him that they're not even close to done. (Or maybe what he heard was just the "OM NOM NOM NOM!" coming from the gibbering mouther?) He hastily puts the lid on the specimen cylinder, cramming the creature down with the lid if it's already trying to climb back out. If he can get the lid on, he gives Rhaenys a thumbs up and shouts, "Seal it!"
Then he moves closer to Flinn, if needed, and touching the hilt of his moon sickle, he calls on the powers of Nature to heal the paladin so that he can help rid the world of these aberrations. As soon as Flinn regains consciousness, Hewelathan yells, "Flinn, we got it! Get out of there!" He hopes that Flinn's sword will allow him to disengage from the creature.
If he put the lid on the jar this round, after he heals Flinn, Hewelathan finally arms himself with his shield again. If the lid was already on the jar, after he heals Flinn, Hewelathan draws a javelin from its holder and hurls it at the gibbering mouther that bit the paladin.
Movement: Up to 30' to move closer to Flinn and other two monsters. He needs to get within 60' to cast the spell, but he'd like to stay about 25' away from both gibbering mouthers so that they cannot easily get to him. Action: Putting lid on the jar. (Athletics13) Alternate action: Attack mouther #3, javelin (30/120): 26 Damage: 12 Bonus Action: Cast spell (LVL 1 slot) Healing Word, Healing: 8 (including 1d4 bonus healing from using the moon sickle as a focus) Free Action: Talking and either drawing a javelin or equipping his shield
"Should have thought of that sooner" - Tytus says to himself and starts to frantically rummage his little chest. He takes his hammer from the chest and piton from side-pocket of the backpack along with the rope that was attached on the backpack. He then proceeds to Hammering a piton to a firm place on the ledge(still in the higher ground than the circular pit).
Free action: Picking tools from inventory. Action: Securing a Piton as an anchor point for rope. Movement: to be near the edge of circular pit. (idea is to make the anchor point so Tytus can reach Flinn (on next turn) while being tied to a rope that is attached to a piton on the other end)

Finn opens his eyes only to see a blob of meat full of mouths surrounding him. He doesn't even have time to acknowledge that there are two of them instead of one, when they both fall over him. He yells in pain when he feels one of the mouths bitting hard on his neck and, while falling from the combined weight of the two creatures he heras in his mind.
"Here we go again... well I do hope that the others could recover me...pity the kid had potential... "

...and then finds himself brought up again almost as soon as he went down by the Druid's Healing Word (regaining 8 hit points). Jodie lets out a gasp as she sees Flinn take some vicious bites from the mouthers. "You stay away from him!" she shouts.
An eerie melody begins and ends with the familiar refrain,
Come on, baby, light my fire
Come on, baby, light my fire
Try to set the night on FIRE
A ring of fire reigns down encircling Flinn, incinerating the mouthers around him.

GM 2 takes the full 41 damage, GM 3 takes 20 damage. Also, Hewelathan, did you mean to attack GM 2 (since that was the one that actually bit Flinn)?
