So with the majority in agreement the exploration is executed and completed. A thorough search is concluded of the premisis and the spoils divided as agreed. Camp is set with the dwarves within the protection of the ruins.
(I left what spoils are to be divided undefined until we see the rolls)
”Glad we could get back in time to be of service. You say you haven’t opened secret doors, but I take that to mean you located and identified some?”
The party found 4 with the dwarves last time. One got opened, which led to the back of a second. The other two weren't opened (I don't believe they were on my quick skim through)
Kosef is just glad to not head back through the gates with the evil looking dwarven statues.
You have to go through those gates if you are going to explore anywhere. Those statues are the circles with stars in, before the two sets of double doors.
Gor nods as the Dwarves line out what's in store for payment if they finding anything further in the temple, then reaches over his shoulder to produce another one of his torches and get it lit as they prepare to delve back into the darkness. He also goes ahead and holds his maul in his other hand, ready to drop the torch and start sledging if he needs to.
"Nothing since we last left?" He says, the question more of a statement to himself than anything. "Hmm, I hope this isn't a wasted trip then. Lodis's goblet must be drawing empty. We've only..."
He tilts his head, thinking and murmuring out loud.
"Let's see, oah, the wine barrel's blood...then the weird talking teddybear-scorpion thing, then the uh...the...no wait we didn't sledge the midwife. Oh, the slime things before that, that was here... Wait, there were Orcs..."
Gor's brow furrows and he turns his attention to the Dwarves.
"Those Orcs...did we talk about them before? Do they come up here often? Have you had trouble with them before?"
Jayson walks around the excavated complex, looking here and there.

”If I may be very frank, I am not a historian or an archaeologist. I’m not precisely certain what I am looking for. I am delighted to assist, of course, but I feel a bit out of my depth”
The party explore, but don't manage to find any more treasure. You do find two old suits of red leather armour, but they are rotted beyond use. There is also on more secret door discovered but the room beyond it is empty. It looks like there used to be something here, but it has been destroyed by rubble.
You all take a long rest before heading back to Phandalin, and level up to level 3. The journey back is without incident.
”Ah, Phandalin! Home sweet home for now. I think I’ll head to the tavern and see if I can learn any news and maybe try out a new tune or two. Anything you guys need me for before I dive headlong into my chosen profession?”
Just outside of town Quin stops to fashion a disguise. He tears a sleave from his shirt and then tears that into strips. From the fabric strips he fashions an eyepatch. From a near by tree he cuts a suitable branch for a crutch. He uses a bit if soot to dirty up his face. Once satisfied his appearance has changed enough he reminds the others, "I may still have people looking for me. So it's back to Orson if you please." he then leans heavily on the crutch as he hobbles along.
As you are walking around, the dragon flies nearby (about a mile away), sending everyone into the houses in a panic. It doesn't attack the town itself but it is definitely too close for comfort. Gor decides to stay in Phandalin while you all go off on your next quest just to protect the town against the dragon in the name of Lodis.
Talking of the next quest. Where are you headed? (or is there anything here you want to do first) The current quests on the board are as follows:
When Kosef gets out of the inn for a moment, he'll go and look at the board. He'll think to himself that the party probably needs some money, and a gold mine sounds like just the place.
Jayson greets the barkeeper and orders an ale. He asks some folks questions about the dragon, if there’s been attacks or any other close by sightings like the one just now.
(( Roll by sheet CHR = 9 ))
Jayson then takes a seat in his school, tunes his yarting, then begins to play. In his clear, rich tenor, the bard starts singing.
Quin makes a stop at Barthen's to pick up some new clothes and flesh out his disguise kit. He meets Kosef at the board and after a brief discussion agrees that the mine sounds like a good idea.
"So when should we leave for the mines? I don't like the idea of staying in one place to long." asks the young thief as he looks to Jayson and Kosef for guidance.
(because I have heard nothing from Biezdar, and JFC has spoken to me about needing some time, Gor will be coming along, Biezdar might be staying in Phandalin)
You head back to the inn to find Don-Jon Raskin (spoiler for image) sitting down drinking, talking to some of the locals. "... but if you think that was exciting, just wait until I tell you about the time that I saved a ship from a sahuagin attack."
After you inform him that you are here to escort him, he turns back to the people he was telling stories to and adds "I would have happily made my own way there but my employers insisted on an escort. But company is always good, and maybe I can teach them a thing or two"
It is currently mid morning. If you leave now, you will need to rest on the way, or you can wait until morning, at which point it will be around sunset when you arrive.
Jayson shakes the dwarves’ hands.
”Glad we could get back in time to be of service. You say you haven’t opened secret doors, but I take that to mean you located and identified some?”
The bard waits for everyone to signal they are amenable to the dwarves’ offer of a split. It suits Jayson fine.
Kosef is just glad to not head back through the gates with the evil looking dwarven statues.

“In the early morning light
I feel the love, I feel the might
As the birds begin to sing
I know what today's gonna bring
A new day dawning, oh so bright
With you by my side, everything's alright
No more worries, no more fear
Only love and peace happening here
Rise up, the sun shining so high
Burning away all the darkness in the sky
Rise up, people, let's unite
In this new day, let's spread the light
Let's dance and sing, let's feel the vibe
In this moment, we come alive
Join hands and hearts, let's be as one
In this new day dawning, let's rise up, the sun
Rise up, the sun shining so high
Guiding us with love from up high
Rise up, people, let's unite
In this new day, let's spread the light
So let's keep moving on, no looking back
Together we'll find the righteous track
In this new day dawning, let's embrace
The beauty and the blessings of life’s grace
Rise up, the sun shining so bright
In this new day, let's do what's right
Rise up, people, let's unite
In this new day, let's spread the light
Oh, rise up, the sun
Rise up, people, let's have some fun
In this new day dawning, let's rise up, the sun
Forever shining, as one we run”

Jayson, your performance gets you a total of 5gp and 3sp from patrons tossing you coins.
(just sorting some bits out, and waiting to see if there is anything from Bizedar and then will post about heading to the mine)

(Just quickly, i know a few people haven't been receiving notifications, including myself. It's possible that Biezdar is in the same boat.)
Kosef doesn't have any problem resting on the way. The sooner they can do this job, the quicker they'll be able to come back to Phandalin.
(I have sent them a PM before the notification issue. Still haven't heard back)

Jayson grabs his gear and tosses the rest of his ale down his throat.
”I’m packed. Let’s hit the road. There and back again.”
As he hits the door, the bard waves to the innkeeper.
”Save me a seat! More tunes to come!”
