OOC: I will need a DM ruling on this one.
Looking towards the halfling and dragonborn, his eyes would narrow to fine slits. When Longtoe motions him and Tashia over, he would stomp his way towards their direction. His eyes would then flare as Drakar began to play his bagpipes. "Damn it Drakar, this is no time for your music!" He would shout as he moved to grab the bag of the instrument, preventing it from filling with air. "I can barley hear myself yell!" He would hiss (7 +7 if I can use athletics, otherwise +1 for acrobatics to grab the instrument and halt the music) before rubbing the spare between his eyes with his finger and his thumb.
Then, after silencing the music (which would have happened in under a minute from the time I walked in the door) or after Drakar dodges away, The lizardfolk would look to Longtoe and then to Quinn. "Ok... So what is going on here?... " He would ask as calmly as he could muster.... the agitation created by the dragonborn blasting flaming bagpipes next to the crying innkeeper still very evident across his face.
Against performance (not really understanding this move)
This is Glamour Bard’s main ability:
Starting at 3rd level, you can charge your performance with seductive, fey magic.
If you perform for at least 1 minute, you can attempt to inspire wonder in your audience by singing, reciting a poem, or dancing. At the end of the performance, choose a number of humanoids within 60 feet of you who watched and listened to all of it, up to a number equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of one). Each target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC or be charmed by you. While charmed in this way, the target idolizes you, it speaks glowingly of you to anyone who talks to it, and it hinders anyone who opposes you, although it avoids violence unless it was already inclined to fight on your behalf. This effect ends on a target after 1 hour, if it takes any damage, if you attack it, or if it witnesses you attacking or damaging any of its allies.
If a target succeeds on its saving throw, the target has no hint that you tried to charm it.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
OOC: I had Thrash walk in and try to interrupt your playing because you were doing it right next to the crying people and Thrash thought it was probably not helping. I was saying that Thrash would have done it before a minute was up and would have interrupted the performance and then it would not have taken effect. That was why I had rolled an athletics / acrobatics check to try to grab the instrument with my hand. I believe M ruled that since you included Thrash as one of the targets of the spell... that it was breaking some of the rules in regards to PVP and attempting to control the characters belonging to other players. She isn't saying that you cannot use your ability, but she is saying that you shouldn't use it on other players characters. I personally don't really care if you do manage to try to charm Thrash with your sweet sweet bagpipes, but you would have had to avoid him grabbing your instrument first.... and then you also have the issue with the DM is saying that it interferes with the rules.
OOC: sorry if you thought I was attempting to control your PC. That was not the intent and the ability doesn’t even give the ability to control anyone. All it does mechanically is prevent Thrash from attacking Drakar which the DM has already ruled out anyway. Beyond that it would be completely within the player’s control to decide what it means to “idolize” someone. What it really does is give the player another roleplaying tool to use or to not use however they decide. I thought we had established consent for this musical charming as part of our shared backstory, but maybe I’ve misunderstood.
In any event, whatever the DM rules is fine with me.
Brighton looks at the situation and thinks of his mother. ‘Don’t touch a turd and it won’t stink!’ That’s what she would say. But she was never in a mood for any adventure or fun in general!
Brighton looks at the chaotic situation, the smoke, the bagpipes, his angry boss and the distraught Goliath. He does a mental calculation of how long to wait. After approximately 17 seconds he goes on his tip toes and gently places his hand up to the Goliath’s elbow. ‘We may be able to help?’ He murmurs

OOC we don't use our powers on our party mates without consent. NPCs are fine.
Freya (dwarf) 24
Gedren (Goliath) 14
Quinn (air genasi) 18

Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
Freya looks at Drakar with a big smile.
"Your music doesn't seem like the time dragonborn, " Gedren Aldersen says with a frown.
"Oh, Gedren...they're missing, " Quinn exclaims moving into the Goliath's arms disappearing into the furs and muscles of the hulking woman.
Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
"Who's missing," Tashia asks as she walks over to the group, suddenly sensing that the mood she walked into was all wrong for the apparent situation.
