Calmly waiting for Omin Dran to join them, the young noble notices the strange things going on in the ornate waiting room, but he watches the others as much as the occurances themselves, calmly evaluating the team's stregths and weaknesses. As the small green verdan uses his magic to investigate, Daryos listens and nods to the important conclusions he shares.
"This is a test, for us!"The young noble finally says with a firm voice to the others in the room. "You, turn that picture to face the wall!"He says to the verdan. "Everyone, the necrotic shrubs will soon be attacking so find defensive positions and be ready to take them out." He then says to the others, moving to the center of the chamber, ready to use his magic to bolster his team mates.
(Will cast Bless on the minotaur and the two women if okay)
Vesna’s muscles tense involuntarily, every nerve on high alert, her hands clutching the amulet until her knuckles blanch as her head swivels from left to right, instinctively searching for an escape. Amidst the unfurling chaos, a strange sensation engulfs her senses, and for a moment, she finds herself in complete peace. It's as if time dilates, stretching each moment into an eternity, or perhaps she drifts weightlessly in the room, detached from the frantic scene below.
Her wide eyes, momentarily freed from their initial panic, scan the room with unusual acuteness. Amidst the uproar, Vesna's perception hones in on every intricate detail, capturing even the most obscure nuances. A twitch in the portrait's eye draws her focus, and a shiver races down her spine. The room seems to pulse in eerie slow motion, magnifying every tremor, every falling leaf.
The air thickens as her gaze darts to the corners, and a knot forms in her stomach. The sight before her is petrifying. The dirt around the shrubs turns dry, cracks spreading like sinister veins, transforming the shrubbery into gnarled, claw-like limbs. A gasp escapes her lips as panic sets in, her voice quivering not directly to anyone but as a desperate cry to her own fears.
“What is th-that?!” Vesna’s voice trembles, her heart pounding against her ribs, her breath shallow and rapid. Seeking safety, she almost clambers atop her chair, arm outstretched and finger trembling as it points to the sinister foliage. “C-claws! D-danger!”
In her current state of mind, she neither hears nor sees what the rest are up to. She can only stare at the claws that grow more menacing with each passing moment.

When Stasyn first walks into the room, Nesya very quickly picks up on the serpent head peeking out of his sleeve. "Ah! You are a cute little fellow!" she says, sqatting down a bit to try and spy the creature after Stasyn sits down. Only after taking a quick look at the creature does she shift her dark black eyes up to the person. She looks at him for a long moment. "A fine companion you have there," she says with a happy smile.
Staying where she's at, she turns to look as each of the others enter, starting at each a moment. Once it seems everyone is there, she again turns to Stasyn. "I'd love to get to meet him," she says. "Oh! I can play him a song!"
Quickly she stands, and steps over to set her glass back on the table. Slipping the case from her back, she sets it down, opens it, and takes out a longhorn. It is a long polished piece of black wood with both standard holes like a flute as well as keys of silvery metal. She starts to move here fingers over the keys and holes, but before she can play anything the glass shatters, distracting her.
"What is going on?" she asks, again surveying the room.
(Nesyax Perception: 17; and to clarify - any water we took freezes in the glass, even if it's water and no ice? Unsure because of the "ice water" description)
the glass that was filled with both water and ice shattered after the water in the glass frozen solid. any glasses filled with just water or just ice appeared normal.
Daryos quickly examines the plants that appear to be twisting and changing before his eyes. He is not sure what kind of plant they could be, but they are acting in a very unnatural way.
the now mutated shrubs sit in their large ceramic pots and twist back and forth as they taste the air with dry sharp finger-like branches. The four shrubs all begin to twist at once and you find the branches pointed towards each of you as the jagged fingers begin to grow longer in your direction....
Kitaer, about to charge the door as the chaos seems to step up a notch, pauses and takes in everything else as well. We'll still need an exit, he thinks to himself, but may as well start by chopping some wood...
"Alright, kindling coming up," he grunts and stomps over to the closest plant as he grabs his great-axe off his back and readies to swing it.
(I'll hold off attacking til you say if we're in initiative or not?)

If things continue like this, Vesna fears she might succumb to a heart attack or at the very least, faint from sheer terror. Clutching her holy amulet tightly, she can't suppress a quiet squeal as the plants suddenly start twisting and growing, seemingly clawing their way closer and closer.
"Selûne, guide me. Selûne, guide me. Selûne, guide me," she repeats in her mind like a desperate mantra. The amulet in her hands offers her a bit of reassurance and the cleric tries to focus on what is going on with the shrubs.

Kitaer looks to chop the nearest plant, container and all, in half with a downward swing of his great-axe. Best solution to any problem is to chop it in half...
GreatAxe vs Plant: 14 to hit, 5 damage...
If that does not sufficiently destroy the plant for his satisfaction then Kitaer follows up by dipping his head down in much the same arc as his axe and using his horns to hook the planter and shove the thing ten feet down the wall (Strength save DC 13 to avoid forced movement) with a grunt of satisfied effort.

Vesna examines the terrible plant, with help from her diety she feels confident that it is...or was and ordinary shrub but that something must have corrupted the plant in some way...
Kitaer manages to cleave the plant down the center, revealing the center of the wicked tree to be hollow like a sharp clawed straw. His axe stops when the blade hits the dirt and the lip of the pot. he then manages to hook the plant and toss it along the wall as it lashes out towards the minotaur. (make a dex save)
as it is flung around the room, one of the branches hits the pitcher of water causing it to fall over on the table and begin spilling water on to the ground at an alarming rate. It lands on its side with a loud clatter sending dirt spilling across the floor. with the bottom of the pot visible a glowing rune is revealed. Still secured in the pot, the two halves of the plant begin to point away from the group and down towards the water spilling on to the floor and starts reaching out towards the liquid...
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"I do, and it has just started!"The young noble answers the blue -haired girl with a firm tone, starting to weave his magic. "And get that pitcher standing again!" He calls out to the team member closest to it.
Weaving his magic, the young white-haired noble makes a few quick gestures with his hand, a ring shimmering on his finger as he utters what sounds like a short prayer, bolstering the others in his team to excel in their first trial together.
Kitaer grunts as he satisfactorily chops up the plant but it turns to a bit of a growly "huh?" as the sides of the plant each seem to continue grown and reaching out... But there's a glowy thing? (Will wait til initiative turn to do more...)
