While watching the earth change on command, Screech strolled over to have a quick look at the corpses. Is there any sign of a pattern concerning potential mutilations other then missing intestines?

While he appears calm, almost to the point of looking bored, to any who look close enough, a deep seated rage can be seen in Laucian's eyes. "Poor souls. Those responsible must be brought to justice. Let us go further into town once they have been properly buried and see if we can find the perpetrators."
[Perception check (looking for any signs of who may have brought the bodies to hang here): 8]

(Man we suck at perception) Gildar waits patiently until Urchan covers up the bodies, then quietly follows Laucian. Unlike him, Gildar is very obviously filled with rage, and the shaft of his greataxe creaks in his grip. Seeing Laucian looking for tracks, Gildar does the same.
Survival 4
(Hey, this dice broke. hope I do better when there's something to hit.)
Screech also directs his horse to the center of the Southwyck. Still mounted, he turns to the others and coupples the unmistakable sounds of a brisk bankett with the grunted word "information", probably intent on finding the local tavern.
A group of giggling little girls playing along the road wave to you as you pass then run into an alley. A man carrying a bundle of wood across the road stops directly in front of you. He looks up at you, he looks directly at you and you can see that he has no eyes and shakes his head no. He continues across the road. You reach the town square. The road turns towards the fishing docks, the fleet seems to be out. On the square are a number of common shops. A bakery, a smith, a tailor, a library, a butcher, a candle maker and the Mapleleaf Inn. The Inn appears to be quite busy. The group of little girls runs past you again, pointing and laughing before heading into the inn.

"I agree with the feathered one," Freedom says, looking at the others, in particular Screech. "Let's begin at the inn." The brown tiefling rides to the inn, dismounts, and enters.

Gildar grunts, dismounts, and goes inside as well. He looks around, observing anybody that is acting strangely, then walks up to the bar and orders an ale.
Screech dismounts and ties up the horse. Standing in the center of the village, he takes a long, sceptical look before following the others inside the Inn.
The barmaid hangs her head and shakes it slowly at Gildar's question. "It's terrible. A terrible, terrible curse that plagues us here in Southwyck. We've learned to accept it as a way of life but it's not easy watching the men folk of our town being killed by the evil spirits. My own husband was killed five years ago."

Laucian secures his mount and enters the inn, also going to ask for an ale. Upon hearing the barmaid speak of the curse, he says, "I am sorry for your loss. I cannot begin to imagine how difficult life must be, especially this past five years. How long has this town been under the curse?"
[Laucian also makes a perception check, looking for anything out of the ordinary: 22]

There are no signs of who put them here. There are no tracks at all. The tall grass around the sign posts wasn't even trampled.
