"But you did say that the world WE know (gesturing to his group) is a layer of Hell called Nessus, and that a power source MIGHT exist and that is what Vecna would be exploiting as we speak. But... How? and Why? Why go through all the trouble of transforming one layer of Hell into his paradise, when he has multiple worlds already? And the fact that you rescued us, does it mean that others can be saved? Surely we can't be the only ones to be spared..."
And Matthyse would look at Kuuraht concerned when he says that, worried that he might quite literally burst with fury at any moment.
OoC: Don't wanna be too meta so I just rolled insight to kinda discern that. He's worried there's someone alive Kuhrat is concerned about, but won't say it.
[OoC: I mean, you're not wrong. Wanting to save someone from a certified death trap. That's something. But imagine the other side of it. Some of you in the real world can relate to this -- or not, ya never know -- but imagine a loved one dying. Sister, brother, son, daughter, dad, mom, grandparents: anyone really close to you. Now, we all have heard various reasons being given: "it was their time, they were too old, their heart gave out," etc. Maybe you're the religious type, in which case, "they're with God now" or "they're in a better place" and "you'll see them again, someday." That's a classic one. Now... for the sake of this perspective, let's say they didn't go... easily. Cancer, mass injury, alzheimers, a freak accident, maybe? That shit hurts, since then you see them change into something different, usually something in pain. But you find solace in the thought that now, they won't suffer anymore...]
[...Now imagine finding out it's all a lie, this life of yours. Imagine learning that there wasn't some grand design beyond the enjoyment of yours' and your loved ones' suffering, and that you were about to be led to slaughter on the belief that things have changed for the better, only to now realize it was all rigged from the start. Men or women, that's a real kick in the balls.]
Edit: oh, I just noticed Y4 doesn't have Archer anymore.
OoC: It's a very confusing and emotionally damaging situation. And that's why Matthyse is just generally taking note of everyone's demeanor to try and deescalate possible situations. And he knows that anger and aggression are valid responses, though acting on those feelings right now, without any information, won't get us anywhere. So he is patiently waiting for Freytha and Fafnir to discuss what comes next.

(OOC: Yeah. That's definitely not the thing anyone wants to experience. My bad if this brought up any feelings.)
Fafnir shouts from the other room after hearing Matthyse. "He wants the whole multiverse, all of the Many Worlds, under his control!"

I look at Kuuraht [insight 6, (it's pretty obvious)]
"We need more answers...I went into criminal rings to find out who our quote-unquote lord was, was that all fake? I saw people die too many times to count, not by my hands either. You can't just brush off our pasts as if they never existed, I...no...we need an explanation."
I try to intimidate them into talking [Intimidation: 20 (nat 20)]
(OOC: I'm just going to let Kuuraht decide if he wants to tell/decide if the check succeeds)
Kuuraht, you find Fafnir sitting on a small stool next to a spit, which holds a massive piece of beef over a roaring fire. "Come to kill me?" he asks. "Or is it just a bad day?"

Matthÿse shed a single tear...

I don't stop creating sparks.
"I still don't trust all this. Not without answers! Nessus isn't real? What about the people living there? Where did they come from?"
Too many friends lost over the years. Hardin, Bellamy, Krista... I can't accept it without more than just someone's assurance.
"There are still many things we don't know."
Fafnir walks away, and the sounds of him rummaging for something come through the doorway he went through. "Should be ready in a little while!"
