Nikk examines the door closely, but there are no traps or surprises to be found. It really just seems like an old door. Its conditon is such that it would not take much force to break. It does have a keyhole, so lockpicking is another option.
Pisgah leans down to Ricco and Canti, motioning for them to move closer in and whispers to them "I hear something hissing behind that door and it sounds like something just dropped to the floor. We should wait for Jaya and Nikk to return before we try doing anything else."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Jaya is not sure what it is about this small, mysterious, Kenku, dressed in black, but he certainly has Jaya’s ear and confidence. Without another hesitation, Jaya will open the door, with force if needed, or just normal if not. “Come here!”, tell that to the others in my voice, if we need them, he says to Nikk.
Brute force turns out not to be necessary. Jaya opens the door normally, pulling it towards himself. It produces a low squeak as you do so. Beyond, you see a very small room, only 10 feet on each side. It only contains the broken down frame of a piece of wooden furniture, shoved into a pile to the south corner.
Jaya (Passive Perception): You notice a faint, frankly not very well hidden, outline of a secret door on the western wall of this tiny room. Nikk (Passive Investigation): This room is in disuse and filled with junk, but access to the western wall has been deliberately cleared. No scrapes on the floor suggest that if that is indeed a secret door, it opens away from you.

[An additional Perception check (15) to make sure we're not missing anything/tripping any traps walking over to the next door. I don't think I need to describe that.]

The tiny room is unremarkable and doesn't seem trapped. Apart from the furniture, you see some clay shards and a knucklebone die (with a skull instead of the side typically showing the 6) lying near the secret door.
Nikk (Passive Investigation): Only some clay shards though. Not enough to make an entire jug or plate. Curious.
The die leaves Nikk unnerved. He's no fool as to ply a power unknown to him purely by chance alone. [I'll assume Detect Magic has worn off.]
...He'll leave that to Jaya. In Durnan's voice, he looks to the scaled one, points to the die and says "Careful. Grab. Pocket. But don't use."
His mind a little jumbled, he nonetheless begins pouring over his available knowledge of the Arcane. Those shards give him pause, a concept he doesn't care for. Perhaps they're a material component or the remains of a spell...?

One of the stranger alchemical materials, clay has inherent transmutation properties. You heard the tales of clay golems and other creatures made of this stuff. It's also very cheap to come by. You haven't heard a spell that uses the breaking of a clay object as a component though, and the remains seen here remind you more of mundane tableware than anything else.
Nikkitch, out of overwhelming caution, scurries back past the middling dragonkin. Peeking around the corner, towards the west hall where the other two were headed, he mimicks a high shrill whistle, hoping to call them back. If this did turn out to be trouble, he'd rather the others held them off while he had time to escape. If they died, well...
Canti hears the noise, but doesn't recognize it. "What was that?" she whispers to the others. She turns to look back the way they came. "Where are the other two? Do you think they're in trouble? We really should stick together."
Hearing Nikk's whistle, Pisgah says to Rico and Canti, "Sounds like Nikk and Jaya may have found something interesting. We know that there is something behind this door. How about we head back down the hallway to join the other two? I will trail behind the two of you in case whatever is on the other side of that door can open it and decides to come on through. You guys keep an eye out in front. I think they are just around the corner but still....."
Pisgah keeps his eyes and ears on the door as they make their way back to the others.
Jaya grabs the dice from the floor and quickly puts it in a pouch for later.
He reaches for the secret door to open it, but then hear's Nikk’s whistle from behind. He turns and looks and decides to pause a second, thinking that the Kenku may be calling the others to them. He turns back to the secret door, weapon raised, and will wait a minute to see if the others show up, before opening the door.
Trailing behind Canti and Rico, Pisgah enters the room with Nikk and Jaya and says "Say guys, we found a closed door that has something making a hissing noise behind it. We came to see what you found when we heard Nikk whistle."
As you're all grouping together, again, new eyes take in the room, but there is not much to tell that the others haven't already found.
Nico (Carpenter's Tools): The broken down furniture here is a bit strange. It looks like someone failed to make a ... coffin? Pisgah (Survival 22): Hard to tell with the footprints of the dragonborn and the kenku before you entered, but you don't think anyone has been in this room for a long time. Dust all around, only disturbed around the west wall.
The other shorter party members may see a sinister look emanate from the kenku's eyes hidden under that hood of his. After all, he muses, it may be something to test my abilities on. This elicits a laugh that he disguises as a small cough he'd heard a woman make on the streets earlier.
Shaking his head briefly, he mimicks Pisgah's voice, his voice jerky and a tad artificial, "Check. Here. First. No immediate. Treasure, investigate. Other. Door. You get. Weapons, gear. Adventure. I. Seek magicks. We do. That, we. Work. Well. Together."
Switching to Canti's voice, he trails off momentarily "Now then..." Nikkitch approaches the door and lightly presses the side of his head to its surface, listening for clues of what may be on the other side.
Didn't Pisgah say something about a hissing? Nikk now hears it too, faintly through the stone door. And suddenly there is a low voice, speaking in common: "Now where are they? Didn't you say that they were right behind you?" Another responds: "Maybe they're planning to rush in here like maniacs, hoping to surprise us. Haha. D'you remember when -". The first voice interrupts: "Sh. Keep yourself together for now. Patience."

Nikk looks to Jaya. Using the warrior's own voice, he says "Safe. Break it." He then steps back.
Pisgah leans down to Ricco and Canti, motioning for them to move closer in and whispers to them "I hear something hissing behind that door and it sounds like something just dropped to the floor. We should wait for Jaya and Nikk to return before we try doing anything else."
Rico nods in agreement, then adds, "By the way, I am also proficient with picking locks, if these doors are actually locked."

If force/strength is needed: Athletics 9
1: Pisgah, Rico & Canti
2: Jaya & Nikk
