Dar'Quilyn continues to move as silently as possible in the darkness. He takes a turn around the corner and suddenly realises he has stepped into a room that seems to be filled with sleeping wolves. Dozens of them curled up, all looking identical, around the rocky subterran terrain.
" I still think there is something amiss here. The wolves had a faint magiacl aura around them.. and the ones we killed before, and their prints, seemed the same wolf... perhaps that creature had used some kind of magic to duplicate one wolf, that could explain the great numbers of wolves and the strange behaviour. I cannot see if that cave has another entrances or exits, but if we enter we risk to wake them all... I suggest we take the other path for now... "
So there's either the left-turn down the steep slope or the right-turn with the gentle decline that twists around a corner. Which are you planning to explore first?
Once again, checking down the pass the steepness of the slope it looks simple enough to slide down, though coming back up would be more effort. It goes further down than the darkvision of the party can see currently.
Dar'Quilyn slides down the slope, the others following in tow. It is not a difficult task to descend as he finds it goes deep down; the entire slope is possibly around 100 feet in total distance as it opens up into a natural cavern. The ground appears smoother than anticipated, but has no sign of being mined or artificially tampered with.
Feel free to make a Perception check or Investigation check (assuming you can see down here. People without darkvision will be required to get a light of some sort.)
"It is definitely dark down here! Anyone have a spare torch? You'd think after our last bit of adventure, I would have remembered to get some." she says, eyes looking futilely through the darkness.
The torch illuminates the floor to show that it is slightly earthy in tone. The room stretches out beyond the illumination, as it seems to be quite the large hollow they have found.
The group edges further into this cavern, their footsteps lightly echoing around them. Ahead within this room there are some natural pillars that are between 3 and 10 feet thick each, protruding out of what appears to be a watery pool. As the group carefully advances, there is a low rumbling voice that echoes around the group.
"Hmmm... Cartex, feeding time already?"
Delvar stops dead, looking pale and terrified. "Cartex... What does Donnel have to do with this?" He says to himself with fear in his tone.

(Is there an exit on the room? Do the wolves irradite magic? if the ritual is still active... )

The large cavern goes beyond Dar'Quilyn's darkvision, so there could be a passage further within.
Checking the wolves over, they all seem to radiate some faint level of transmutation magic.

"so, do we keep going" Jaylin says

As Jaylin speaks, he hears a couple of the sleeping wolves whimper and twitch.
(Assuming people will whisper at this point.)

Johann thinks for a moment and whispers, “Do we want to try to kill these wolves or wait until they leave?”
Dar retreats a little bit and whispers
