Vah'Lhorn uses Thaumaturgy to slam the door shut, then moves around the edge of the pool to the secret door into the cavern. He checks whether the piton Yuri used to secure it is still in place, and whether there are any signs of water headed that way.

The piton has been freed and the secret door can be pushed open. You assume someone had came through the door into the room you are currently in.
Kim, Morpetor and Van’Lhorn are in the storage room with the cistern. The secret door has been unblocked from the piton and left slightly ajar. Are you going to explore the manor? You all estimate Gramgran and Yuri will return in about an hour or so.
((Sorry, run of things interrupting my normal forum time.))
Vah'Lhorn nods "There is something not right here, yet exactly what has caused this disturbance eludes me... Were something to have been wet itself when moving around, I would expect some trial to follow. Do we walk this room, or venture forth?"
(It's all god guys, things come up. Just making sure you all didn't duck out without telling me.)
You all enter the room where the one-eyed creature lives. The southern bridge is now back in place. You know that is a trap bridge. The northern bridge was supposed to be a safe passage. Morpetor believed the creature about the bridge. Peering into the crevasse, you do not see the creature.
A voice enters Morpetor's head again. "Welcome back wizard. What is it you seek?"
((Guys, you know Vah'Lhorn's feelings on pushing an encounter with the creature. If we RP this out slow and steady - i.e. search the place, and don't cause any aggro, I'd like to let everyone regroup before we get into something bit. I'm conscious Moist and ThatOneguy haven't had much to do in quite a while. Search the top for signs of redbrand activity whilst we have been resting, and search the crevasse floor for whatever might be there...))

Gramgran and Yuri have been playing along while in Pandalin on thier own arc.
Morpetor leans over to Vah’Lhorn and whispers, “he’s talking to me telepathically again.”
”Hello again, did you enjoy your meal? If it wouldn’t be too much to ask, I’d like to ask a question of you? What do you know about these Rebrands that have taken over your manor?”

"Of course. The hunger never stops though, but a deal was a deal wizard. You are free to pass through the cavern here. The Redbrands are weak, but the leader, the leader is a powerful wizard. Glasstaff he calls himself, but I know better. He has powers I do not, but I can enter his mind, much like I am yours."
Gramgran and Yuri make it the entrance of the manor. It's about 2 in the morning now. The moonlight is now being shaded by the manor itself. The door is closed and all is quiet on the inside, as far as you can tell.
“Vah’Lhorn, this creature is able to read my mind. The leader of the Redbrands, Glasstaff, is a powerful wizard. We will need to be united against him.”
Strangely Gramgran doesn’t seem to be that out of breath from the run (wood elf), but she slows as they get to the entrance. “The wizard said they were fighting the monster in the crevasse. I don’t know if he was lying, but better to double check.” (OOC she refuses to say Iarno’s name)
The voice continues: "I have been living in this place long before Glasstaff and his Redbrands came here. Glasstaff and I live in harmony here. He feeds me when intruders do not unluckily find their way here. Glasstaff comes and goes every so often through here. But mostly he stays in his quarters, but you will not find him there. He has left the manor already."
At this point, the group all converges in the cavern of the Manor, standing over the crevasse.
Vah'Lhorn greets Yuri and Gramgran, glad to see them both safely returned. He explains that Morpetor is liaising with the pit fiend again, but can give no details as to the topics discussed.

“I don’t know when those two are coming back, but I feel that we need to investigate a little before we are possibly ambushed.”

"Sounds like a good idea Morpetor."
Kim then walks into the next room.

Bent over, hands on his knees, gulping for air, Yuri looks.to Gramgran. "Shall we... Start with... The... Room we... Were last in?"
Gramgran

"All of this just for me?" the voice calls out to Morpetor. You still do not see the creature. "What answers do you seek, wizard?"
