"I'm afraid that I'm trapped in this bog. The Sun King and the Dusk Queen sealed me here long ago. There is a way to allow me to leave, but I cannot do it on my own, and I cannot speak of it. They placed some sort of magic on me that prevents me from sharing even that knowledge."

Liam the Weak: Level 4 Human Fighter - Trying to fight against his other personality, and constantly losing.
Aodh: Level 20 Half-Elf Cleric of Life - Not really. It's a strange being that had possessed and broke down a level 20 Cleric of Life Domain, gaining his knowledge and power.
"*****": Level 1 Tiefling Sorcerer - Her family is dead, and her will is broken. She follows orders so that those that command her will allow her to die.
"What would you do? Where would you go? Do they prevent you from telling us these simple things? I ask you again, what would you do for us if we could bring you a shard?"
"Ah...I see what has you concerned. You think that I, being what I am, would simply terrorize your world with my release or my findings on the shards. I assure you that my only interest in your world lies within the capabilities of powerful beings. The Queen and her mirror was but one of many things that I had come to investigate. As for what I would do...Perhaps you would like to name your terms?"

"Hm...This world? Hm....Oh, but...Well, I could..."
It seemed as if the creature was going over all sorts of things that it would have and would care less about doing.
"Hm...Very well. I will accept your conditions."

Kirra is leery of anything this creature would say but, for now, turns to Weltschmerz and says quietly "well done". She then speaks up again to speak to the spirit naga. "How will you do this? You have just told us you are trapped here."
"The shards. Since they hold a piece of the Dusk Queen within them, and can change things so drastically...I theorize that I can free myself using their power, if I can get enough of them."

"And what guarantees can you give us that you will live up to your word if we can find shards for you? What power would we have to force you to live up to this bargain? Can you provide collateral of any kind? Also, what aid can you give us in going to find the shards? Have you any knowledge, magical items, or other boons to help guarantee our success?"
"I have knowledge, yes. I also have what the peoples of this existence would call treasure or wealth. I can give you anything you wish, but you must keep your own end of the bargain."

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Hmmm, not much of a guarantee, nor can we guarantee our success as we do not know what we will face. Problem is if we do not live up to retreiving shards for you, you are no worse off than if you had never met us. If we bring them to you and you do not live up to your end and leave this world, however, you could do great harm here."
"What do you think, Weltschmerz?"
I'm still sort of unsure how to proceed here, as we haven't necessarily gotten a whole lot from this creature that I can remember. At least we know who holds on of the shards though, if my memory serves me. Perhaps we make no such deal and move on, find another shard, see if we can destroy it on our own, and go from there. I could be forgetting something important, though.
I have no idea if we can trust this creature to live up to anything such as leaving this world. DM, can I roll Insight on that? 21
"I don't know. I wouldn't trust this creature, But this deal with the devil might be our best chance." Weltschmerz breathes heavily. "No, this monster is not to be trusted, let's not risk it. Tell you what, vile creature. We will try it our way and if that doesn't work maybe we will come back."
Kirra nods at Weltschmerz. She grows tense at the thought of upsetting this creature but does her best to hide it as she takes one step backwards. "Yes, unfortunately we have no way to guarantee we will be successful in retrieving a shard nor ensure that you will do as you say, so it seems neither side can give many assurances currently. There is thus no deal that can be made to anyone's satisfaction. We certainly do not count you as an enemy, however, as you seem to oppose the Queen. Perhaps we will speak again once we have secured a shard. Thank you for speaking with us." At that she continues to look at the naga but slowly step backwards, pausing between each step to judge it's demeanor.
OOC Eh, a long conversation not to get a ton out of, but we did learn some things and can revisit this guy later. That's if he doesn't eat us right now, that is, of course!

"We help you and you leave our world never to return. I'm sure you can search elsewhere for whatever you're interested in."

We'll also need a party, either way. :(
